[Cancelled] Sarah Connor Chronicles (Terminator Series)

Recommended Posts

Sarah said that, and John had said it to her earlier. It's just the writers way of her saying goodbye to John.

I agree with Xero on Prison Break. First 2 seasons I loved and I am seriously considering not even watching the new series its that bad.

I'm all for popcorn entertainment, but this doesn't even qualify. Ever watch Prison Break? Because I do and have since the beginning, it's nowhere near these "high standards" you mention, but it's still mindless entertainment nonetheless. Even as bad as Heroes has gotten and as bad as Prison Break usually is, neither have lowered itself to the level of this show. Doesn't change how everyone else feels about this show, but I think the numbers speak for themselves in just how "good" this show really is.

I tried watching the show at the beginning of the season, and that's when I gave up on it (after two, maybe three episodes). I recall that I stated that season one, which was meh at best, was better than what was shown.

I watched Prison Break during their first season and part of their second season run. After half-way through the second season it just got terrible and redundant that I gave up on that show. What you are comparing Terminator: SCC to is a horrible comparison. Terminator is a great show and if you are a true Terminator fan you would see that. To understand the show you must have a understanding concept of the original 2 movies and if you watched the third one it wouldn't hurt.

The T:SCC this season had a great run with 75% of the episodes. The rest were filler because there is really no big story in the past. This became different at the end of this season. The last 6 episodes were the best of the series, with a couple of other episodes from Season 1 and 2, and it took the story to a new level.

There was another resistance, other than humans, that did not want SkyNet in power, and wanted to co-exist with the humans. This is the T-1000's. If you watched the Jimmy Carter episode's (Season 2 Episode 18+19) then you would see that John Conner/Cameron in the future asked them to join the resistance, but they denied to join.

Catherine Weaver was the T-1000 on the sub and she came from the future to create something that will counter SkyNet's forces in the future, when it becomes self-aware. This is why she bought the Turk, wanted Cromarties body, and got help from Ellison and Boyd Sherman to make him more sympathetic to humans and understand rules/consequences.

Now that they are in the future the story is going to get really interesting. We can see John first hand fighting terminators and learning how to be the future leader that he is supposed to me. This can all go on while trying to track down John Henry with Cameron's chip. With the story that they put forth it can mean no more filler episodes and pure legendary action. :D

To understand most of what happened in the last episode you need to watch that last 6 episodes. Without the last six being watched you will be mostly lost and it wouldn't make sense, so that's why you are saying it was horrible. You gave up on the show too early.

Also, what I think that "I love you too" meant is that Sara was telling it to John before he left because he told it to her in the waiting room right before seeing Catherine Weaver. It could also mean that the writers are also saying good-bye to the fans if this is the last season. Let's hope they get one more!

Another also, Xero, that message could have been just a message and not Cameron. I am actually hoping that they are both on one chip because that would mean that they can both fight over what decisions to make in the future. Cameron can be the "big scary robot" and John Henry can be the crazy awesome child that he is.

Yea, let's hope it is, but do you really want to see Cameron in Cromarties body? :) Part that confuses me is he was so attached so Savannah then once he got the chip he was like peeeeace bitch I'm outta here

There must have been some kind of explosion in the final scene after they left, because if John Henry went into the future the room was left untouched, yet when they went it was left in ruins, I'm guessing something blew up or John Henry didn't go back and was just hiding in the corner :p

yeah, all this time she had blue eyes cuz she was "special" Now she had red eyes and looked like Arnie's terminator. I thought she was more advanced than all the others minus the T1000

she was, i think i read somewhere that she was from an even farther future, every terminator that has scanned her listed her as "unknown class"

yeah, all this time she had blue eyes cuz she was "special" Now she had red eyes and looked like Arnie's terminator. I thought she was more advanced than all the others minus the T1000

I think that they were blue because she was obeying orders without having damage to her chip. Now that she has damage to her chip she reverted back to her normal self and losing some functions.

^ That's a good way of saying they forgot :)

But yea Hell, she's supposably more advanced than a T-1000 but less advanced than a TX (from T3)

Some of her unique traits are looking hot as hell  Having some form of digestive system, she's able to mimic the visual expressions of people not just their voices like all other Terminators. She had blue eyes and I think she also had a blue hud. Can't remember which episode it was where we got to see from her eyes. All others have red vision. I'm sure there's some I'm missing.

her HUD is full color, and as far as the digestive tract, i think the T1001 ate something also in a recent episode. which i thought was weird

I think she also had a blue hud. Can't remember which episode it was where we got to see from her eyes. All others have red vision. I'm sure there's some I'm missing.

the only thing i can think of as far as the eye thing, was she was replacing parts on herself left and right, she might have had to replace an optic or something

I just noticed at the end after the flash of lightning, that Sarah say's I love you too, so seems like Sarah came to the future as well.

I think the sound just came with the lightning, she's still in the past.

The lightening could have just been from when they went back, although since we don't get to see her they could say she came right after. I don't remember Weaver eating anything. I do recall her meeting with Ellison, she put the glass of water to her lips but never actually drank anything. Full color hud, lucky girl ;) I think the real reason for the eye change is they forgot about it and didn't really care to change it. The conversation probably went something like this,

"Oh ****, we made her eyes red"

"So what, she's a Terminator"

"We made her eyes blue in Season 1 because she was unique and special"

"Dude, no one is going to notice that ****"

"I still think we should change it"

"I think you should shut up"

and there we have it!

I love your dialog, it pretty much sums up what probably happened.

Scoop: Fox set to terminate 'Sarah Connor Chronicles'

Resist the urge to nuke the messenger, but multiple sources are telling me that Fox will not be renewing Terminator: The Summer Glau Sarah Connor Chronicles for a third season.

"It's done," maintains a source close to the show. "Everyone has pretty much known for a couple of weeks." Adds a network insider: "Consider it canceled."

The one bright spot? Despite horrific ratings, Fox isn't ready to declare SCC dead and buried -- at least not officially. "No decision has been made yet," insists a network rep. "We will be announcing our fall schedule on May 18."

Maybe that's the only reason the show was "clicking" ? :/

maybe, but i think it had to do with becoming its own show. i think by the 2nd season it finally found its niche in the terminator mythos. They finally have characters developed to an interesting level.

Its a shame, but any show Fox puts on Friday's has a death sentance..... Were the ratings better when it was on Mondays?

I can't remember I think it was something like 5 - 6m which wasn't alot but think about it Heroes is only doing 6m atm so its a sign it wasn't doing that badly.
