Apple Safari to be released for the Windows Platform!

I hate the font rendering. Text looks a bit fuzzy. Slow and buggy. Now it won't even load any text. Everything is blank.

Time to uninstall.

Has anyone else noticed that Safari cant be minimized from the taskbar ? , this blows totally

Hmmm. I really like Safari when I use it on my Mac but there is just something about the windows version which just doesn't quite... feel right? I'm surprised Apple made this move to be honest - if they want to entice more users to the Mac platform, I am not convinced that giving them a taster on safari on Windows is quite the way to do it.

Keep in mind it's a Public Beta. It will have bugs. For example, I just clicked on the spider icon to report a bug and the app closed down. It may be my laptop or not but these sort of bugs need to be submitted in order to make the app better. Moan about them by all means but submit them.

I agree with the positive comments about being able to make sure now that one's webpages are Safari-complient without a Mac user nearby.

Just installed it, gonna give it a whirl. If I like it, personally it would be only less of a reason to ever buy a Mac now. A good 60% of what I use my computer for is web browsing.

But i'm going to be trying Safari on PC and Mac for the next week, I always thought Safari 2 was decent there was just a few extra features in Camino that I liked but the 3rd version could be good. Sure it's only beta but it's worth me checking out.

Probably the mostly this effects is web developers, they should be happy.

There doesn't seem to be a 'select all' in the context menu of the address bar :(

also, you can't select a proxy server for some reason.

it's also very very slow. i'm hopeful though.

it does need adblock, you actually forget at just how much distracting rubbish is out there flashing away.

Left click in the address bar and press CTRL+A on your keyboard.

Not THAT impressed by this beta to be honest. I guess I'm a firefox fanboy :(.

Typing this in Safari on Vista now, it's very fast at loading pages but start-up time isn't the greatest. I'll give it a few days trial.

Well it works pretty well on OS X, most of peoples problems seems to come from the windows version so far. Everyone report bugs away, so we can get the Windows version working better. :)
