seems that when the songs in the playlist are in Monkeys Audio format, the CD sticking out of the cover[in the playlist cover] doesn't show up, works fine with flac/mp3/mpc etc, but doesn't show up with ape files, tried to turn the setting on and off, still doesn't work, any way to make it work for ape format?

After hearing about foobar2000 I thought I'd give it a shot since I was getting sick of WMP11 being such a resource hog. At first I wasn't sure if foobar2000 was going to be the right player for me, but I'm glad that I decided to give it a chance and look for some themes before dismissing it since I knew it was highly customizable. After I found fooAVA on deviantART I immediately downloaded it and didn't even bother to search for any alternatives, because this has everything I wanted foobar2000 to be. Thanks for all your hard work dawxxx, you've done a great job so far.

I've managed to get everything working fine and changed some of the available options to suit my tastes. I only have a couple small problems at the moment, the biggest of which is the playlist window. For some reason whenever I change the playlist so that it sorts by Artist > Date > Album it cuts off the last inch or so of the track times.

That problem only appears in the playlist window, as it looks fine in a similar window like the quicksearch feature:

Another small problem I have is with the album list. It looks and works great, there's only a small annoyance with ease of use. For example in WMP11 I really liked how I could find the artist or album in the library, then simply double click on what I wanted to begin listening to it. If I double clicked on the album title or picture it would add all of the songs in that album to the now playing list, or if I double clicked on an individual song it would start playing the album at that point and que up the rest of them to play after.

It seems like the quicksearch feature already does exactly this, but is there any way to get the album list to do this as well? I'm not used to having to right click on the album list and either making a new playlist or sending it to the existing. Speaking of playlists, another small problem is that whenever I right click something in the album list and choose "send to playlist" it displays "*FILTER*" at the top of foobar2000 (as can be seen in the first screenshot). In the default version of foobar2000 I could middle click on an album in the library and it would create a new playlist with an appropriate name displaying on the tab, such as the artist and album name.

One last thing is with the lyrics component. It looks great and retrieves the lyrics without any problems, however trying to scroll through it is extremely slow. Even if I try clicking the x3 button to scroll 3 lines at a time it still pauses for about 2 seconds before actually moving the text. This makes it really difficult trying to find a line or two of lyrics after the song has already been playing for a few minutes. Not to mention the fact that if you try to pause the song in order to find what you were looking for, it snaps the list up to the first line of text making you lose your place.

Is there any way to edit this component so that you can use the mouse wheel to quickly scroll through the lyrics window? The lyrics show component does this, but I like the look of how you set up LyricsDB better, and would prefer to use that if possible.

Thanks again.

Update: It seems like this problem is happening in the quicksearch as well. I played around with it a bit in order to try and figure out the real reason a half inch or so is being cut off of the right side, and it turns out that the scrollbar is responsible.

I have the scroll hide function enabled to try and keep the window looking clean, and it works fine for any list that's long enough to actually trigger the scroll bar. Anything shorter though and it cuts off the little sliver of space that the scroll bar would normally reside in. For example if I have a playlist with say 10 songs in it, then that isn't long enough to normally trigger the scroll bar to be visible. This is when I get a little bit clipped off the right side, which will reappear once I disable the scroll hide feature.

Blue_Haze: Have you tried that little horizontal arrow at the bottom right corner of the playlist (Scroll hide)? :)

dawxxx666, excellent work.

One quick query though. When using foobar in its unaltered state I was able to click on a song in the playlist and drag it up or down within the playlist if I wanted to change its position. Once I applied foo ava and all the required components I can no longer do that kind of reordering within the playlist anymore. Is there a setting I am missing? or is this capability completely gone?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

cheers,

chanch

Try drag songs holding ALT (it's PanelsUI function, so I can't do anything with it).

How do I put artist pictures into the library? Cheers.

Create "symphony x.jpg" in foobar2000/Artists/

@ Khz nice cfg, love that Peakmeter with transparent backgrounds, for a long

time I've been taking looking for it.

Could you share the code to get it (just Peakmeter w/trans. backgrounds) please.

Thanks!

Look one more time on this screenshot - it haven't transparent background around peakmeter, it have black bold frame (this is the reason, why I didn't include peakmeter in background mode). foo_pm is working on new version of peakmeter with transparency support. Be patient :D

BTW: I have contact with khz, so you'll see his buttons in next ver.

Regards,

It is also fairly robust with a drop protection of up to 2 meters, though bear in mind that this is not waterproof. For that you will have to choose the rugged T7 Shield. The technical specifications of the Samsung T7 1TB are given in the table below: Specification Value Model Code (1TB) MU-PC1T0T / MU-PC1T0H Interface USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) Dimensions (W × H × D) 85 × 57 × 8 mm Weight 72 g Sequential Read Speed Up to 1,050 MB/s Sequential Write Speed Up to 1,000 MB/s Drop Resistance Up to 2 m (6.6 ft) Encryption AES 256-bit hardware encryption Operating Temperature 0°C to 60°C Non-Operating Temperature -40°C to 85°C Humidity 5% to 95% (non-condensing) Shock Resistance 1,500 G, duration 0.5 ms, 3-axis (non-operating) Vibration Resistance 20–2,000 Hz, 20 G (non-operating) Get it at the link below: Samsung T7 Portable SSD, 1TB External Solid State Drive, MU-PC1T0T/AM, Gray: $189.98 (Sold and Shipped by Amazon US) Good to know This Amazon deal is U.S. specific, and not available in other regions unless specified. • I just wish they would put more love into Virtual Desktops. There is just so much more they could do.
    • Sounds like you just skimmed over the review, I answer all those questions in it. Although I admit I did not test if DTS works over the headphones, when I get some time I will test this. My personal use case is more speaker-driven (I cover this in the review too).
    • It actually does the same exact thing as yours, 7.1 virtual surround over headphones. From the product page: "Experience sound that surrounds you with 7.1 virtual surround, delivering a wider, more immersive soundstage for movies, games, and music." So both of them are two channel, with 7.1 virtual surround that only work in Headphones mode.
