I can't find anywhere that sells the jerker! So I have to get the Fredrick. The Fredrick is still big though right? Big enough for 2 monitors and still have plenty of space?

Hmm, not sure about that man. Ikea stopped making Jerker's but you can still get a used one.

As for the the space, i don't have a Fredrick, but i would bet money that its going to be "roomy"

Edit: I dont think you'll fit two monitors by the looks of this picture;

I'm not sure if that's the same thing... Look here

http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40111124

It says it's 140cm. That's 40cm longer than my current one, and my current one could fit another monitor easily (if it wasn't for all the shelves and stuff, that's why I'm getting a basic one lol)

Lol.... I kind of just answered my own question.

Here's my 'reverse Squeezebox':

Yes, it will live next to the sub lol. Sound output is from my Creative Audigy 2 sound card, using digital out (S/PDIF passthrough for external decoder) to the receiver. Darn Creative and their 3.5mm jack outputs, it took me a while to find something that would convert 3.5mm to RCA jack. Well, I found them in my basement, so what the heck. Connected via a standard 75ohm digital coaxial cable to the receiver.

The ATI thing is the receiver for my Remote Wonder II remote control.

Why I call it a 'reverse squeezebox':

The Squeezebox can stream music from a fixed source to anywhere in your home. Well, in this case, the music is located in a fixed source and any computer in the home can instruct it to play  (Remote desktop -- connected to main home gigabit network).

BUT it can stream music from my NAS.

lol 32" display, no complaints about size of the display of this media player :p

It was really courageous of you to still take the pictures of your setup even though one of your legs has been chopped off. By the look of the pictures I'd say it was your right leg?

Weird, i was looking at this one http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/60111123

Is that the Fredrick desk from Ikea? I'm getting that this Friday along with my new monitor, mouse and keyboard lol :D

No idea, I got the desk from Ikea and built it a few years ago

Is that a BenQ monitor?

Nope, it's a Chimei monitor

@Evera: Is that a selfbuild-kit from a Gundam up on the shelf? If so which grade is that? Cuase mine din't have the thing where your's hangs on

I think it's master grade, 1/60

Yup! I had some time and a small can of Tremclad paint while waiting patiently for my mobo to arrive. Why not!

BTW Mr.GreanShamanGT

Yes, i like the ATI/AMD combo. I also like the idea of having only one driver package (Catalyst) that install everything at once. I'm not going for a world speed record anyway. It works, it's rock stable and i'm very satisfied.

well I gotta say, that is one sweet looking system =]

    • No, "a great deal" for 32GB of DDR5 is $50, not $350. I mean I see what you mean, that it's a decent price compared to what's currently available, but you really should put a disclaimer in this articles explaining that it's still multiple times more expensive than it used to be.
    • Linux 7.1 stable launch looms as Linus Torvalds releases the final release candidate by Paul Hill Linus Torvalds has just released what’s expected to be the final release candidate of Linux 7.1, rc7. The Linux founder said that this RC is not small, but smaller than recent releases, which is a good sign because he expects the stable version to drop next week if things continue on this trajectory. Linux kernels see a merge window for the first two weeks of their life, where developers add new features, then there are about seven or eight weeks of release candidates before the stable version. Typically, there are seven release candidates, but if more time is needed, then an eighth release candidate is released too. This week’s RC’s biggest area of fixes was for GPUs, with networking just behind. Torvalds said that the rest of the release was “pretty random and spread out” with some architecture fixes, driver fixes, filesystem improvements, and build fixes for more unusual configs. In terms of specific pieces of hardware receiving improvements in this update, we had more AMD Zen6 models supported and fixes for AMD SDMA 7.1 and GFX11. Hardware that got improvements includes Lenovo laptops, HONOR laptops, and MSI laptops. Here are the changelogs for those: ASoC: amd: acp: Add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Pro 7 15ASH11 Input: atkbd - add DMI quirk for Lenovo Yoga Air 14 (83QK) Input: atkbd - skip deactivate for HONOR BCC-N's internal keyboard ASoC: amd: yc: Add MSI Raider A18 HX A9WJG to quirk table ASoC: amd: yc: Enable internal mic on MSI Bravo 17 C7VF When the stable Linux 7.1 is released, it will be up to distribution maintainers, such as Canonical and Red Hat, to release the update to their users via the update manager. Some versions of Linux will get it before others, and some will never get it at all. Fedora and Arch-based distros will be among the first to get it, though. If you don’t get it, the security fixes will be backported to your system’s kernel, so you won’t be at risk, but you won’t get newer hardware support, which is fine if your computer works now.
