Did anyone realize that other guy was John Simm in heavy makeup? I thought they had just hired a different actor until I saw this interview on youtube.

You know, I was trying to think who it was.  My first thought was the guy who played Zathras in Bab5 purely down to the character style.  Then the face shape and vocal tone, maybe Paul Whitehouse.  But I only guessed at the reveal literally once I worked out the time thing and how Missy could have been previously involved and wow, what a reveal.

Off topic a tad, but just wanted to say the man who played Zathras in Babylon 5 passed away quite a few years ago. Tom Choate died in a motorcycle accident back in 2004 or so. :(

And I figured out it was Simms about halfway through the episode when he started acting a bit...odder. I was like, that has to be a fake out of something or someone then it dawned on me who it might be. Sure enough as soon as he started talking to Missy I was like, bingo.

Anyone wanna gather a guess as to what happens next Saturday? Because, I don't see a good outcome for Bill.

Great name btw, I heard that you are all Zathras so I guess you're the fifth one then? lol =)

Yes, well. Zathras was using Zathras on Neowin before Zathras so Zathras had to use Zathras5... but Zathras does not mind.

I had no idea that Zathras had passed away. I'm so sorry to hear that. I am very thankful to Zathras for telling me about Zathras. I hope Zathras is doing alright since the loss of Zathras.

Sadly, quite a lot of B5's cast have passed away in the intervening years. :(

I'm really confused now :p

To much Zathras.

Zathras was from the family of Zathras, Serving for Generations, superseding the Babylon Project, Zathras has always served The Great Machine, regardless of whichever caretaker was in charge.

Zathras was mostly a general labourer/technician for the Great Machine, in which many Zathras have served, and lost their lives to.

Zathras serving the caretaker Varn was the first Zathras to make himself known to the Command Crew of Babylon 5, Later when Draal assumed the responsibilities of caretaker, Zathras would help, Later in Zathras's life,

Draal visited Babylon 5 in a 3d hologram, requesting the crew visit the Great Machine on Epsilon3, in which Draal and to some point, Zathras explained the disappearance of Babylon 4.

This Zathras must not be confused with Zathras from The beginnings of the Babylon Project as Zathras was mostly reclusive, and didn't show a need to commune outside of Zathras. Zathras who died on Babylon 4 during the time jump from Babylon 5 is the Father of Zathras, and so, you see, it's actually quite simple really. :p

Point of order, sir! He didn't die, he went back in time with Sinclair!

Isn't it just..

I used to love Kosh Naranek, Ardwight (RD) Chamberlain had a soothing voice, and I used to think Delenn was hot :p

Andreas Katsulas, (G'Kar) another favourite, passed 7 years ago also

He did, he had to give up his stabiliser, the flow of time dictates he died :p

Nope! Sorry, but I just checked as I have the entire show on my HD.  Zathras escorts the Minbari of 1000 years ago onto the station and introduces them to "Valen".   He lived! :)

Yes, but that is where Zathras's storyline ended, as he wasn't immortal, he died, 1000 years before Zathras was born. so In one respect, we're both right.

In the Minbari Fandom, there's no record of Zathras's continued existence, I just put 2 and 2 together.

Ah well, fans are notoriously fickle, constantly ignoring the characters they're not interested in so they can focus on those they are.  Clearly, Zathras is the superior character! :)

Anyway, we're REALLY off topic here, so to drag it back... I finally started watching Season 10 of Who last night and so far, it's not so bad.  The Pilot episode (odd title) just leaves sooo many questions unanswered though... Who the hell are the puddle people?!

Zathras would know...

Ok that was my last one for now. Back to the Topic of Doctor Who... Matt Smith was best

Nuh uh!  For me, he made the Doctor far too arrogant, even more so than Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy were... combined!  I also don't really like how they've super-aged the Doctor in the past 2 generations.  I prefer the Tom Baker/Peter Davidson characterizations, where the Doctor is smart yes, but generally just manages to muddle through his adventures and saves the day by the skin of his teeth!

I liked him, thought he was fun, for me he was closer to Tom Baker, but I most likely remember Tom differently.

I'm not sure about his arrogance, but as a 'pro Matt Smith' guy I guess I wouldn't. Hated Capaldi, to the point of swearing off the series altogether.

I do agree on McCoy being a bad choice for Doctor, The episodes that stick out in my mind the most were his multi episodic encounters with Davros (the ridiculous white and gold daleks including the 'special weapons' variant)

Zathras gone! Zathras warned Zathras, but Zathras never listened to Zathras. Zathras was quiet one in family.

...and David Tennant is easily the best doctor.

oh for Zathras, can it please end now, oh wait... Zathras did warn you.

No Tom Baker was the best Doctor and on a lighter note can not wait to find out what happens this weekend

As someone who came into Who when Tom Baker was the Doctor, I'll always consider him "my Doctor" I suppose, but David Tennant was amazing and imo by far the best Doctor yet. Matt Smith comes a close second at this point - but Capaldi's run this series is making me rethink things for that one.

Same. Tom Baker was my Doctor also. Peter Davison was interesting at first, but when he went all "posh" I just rolled my eyes and stopped watching. It was all downhill from there. I mean, Cricket stuff?! *barf* ...

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
    • CPPC states can also be messed around with in most UEFI settings but aren't as robust as the ones that the Windows Scheduler can provide! Make sure you look into what your motherboard also has before customizing for the Windows Scheduler.
