^ Exactly. It's a very good length on a respectable difficulty level (read: Heroic or higher) as many reviewers have also stated. It doesn't really make sense to go play it on Easy or even Normal and then say it's too short... come on now.

I played it on Heroic. tyvm. :)

Guys, when I beat the last mission on legendary I don't get the other ending, do I have to beat the whole game in legendary to do so?

EDIT:

Also is there a way to rewind in the save movies?? It seems like a basic feature which doesn't seem to be there.

You cannot rewind a Campaign Save Film, so if you miss your moment, you gotta restart from the beginning and FF. The reason for this was given by Bungie on one of their updates, but I forget. Something along the lines with how things were scripted in story mode and that it'd be overly complicated to enable rewinding.

But in Multiplayer (Xbox Live Matchmaking, Local Custom Games, Forge, etc) save films, you can rewind. Just hit left on the D-Pad.

aaaa that's a bit annoying.

Well, 8 more acheivements for me. :)

All but 1 are in FFA games. The other one is to destroy a vehicle with equipment.

@Ayepecks: If you haven't played online yet, you might need to know that people can be extremely good online and you might become frustrated very often. Just some words from experience. ;)

Why not give online multiplayer a go yet? It's really the only way to get better.

I want to, but the internet here has horrible lag for games because of everyone connected to it; it's a campus connection.

Trong: Yeah, I'm pretty sure that will be the case :) (No sarcasm.)

Heh I can vouch for that. I have DirtyLarry, IronMan & magik on my friends list. I bet they will hate me.

Yea that equipment one can be done in Campaign IINM. I think a trip mine would do the trick, but I haven't been able to pull it off yet. The problem with the FFA achievements are that the FFA playlist is only 6 people, so it's a good amount of luck that you need for it since it's pretty rare to find 4 or so people in one area. I'm betting it'd be easiest on Guardian with a couple well timed 'nades. :) Haven't tried for those yet, going for all the other achievements first. Still have a couple skulls to find as well.

I won't hate you, I love all.

The one where you kill with an equipment can be done on Tsavo Highway, when you first see the Choppers, there is Landmines in one of the buildings, just grab one run to the street where teh Choppers are and get one to run over it or they will themselves.

whats with these emo kids calling people fags because they are privates & they kick you what the hell this is why i only wish to play with mature adults who are not calling people names every 5 seconds some emo kid named Flava Flow talks all kinds of s--t but cant back it up

Haha, yea, that's why I tend to play with only people I either know in real life or on Neowin. :D

An emo kid called Flava Flow? Surely you mean some middle class teen with rich parents who thinks he's the next 50 cent surely! :p

Anyway, I've not had any problems with the language. More the language barrier (joined a huge amount of games with the French last night). That and my lack of skill with the backwards pad system. :(

Lol, yeah that ****es me off!

Stop bashing emo kids though, i doubt someone called Falva Flow is an emo kid

How do you start you game from the checkpoint or from start. You have to start the game from the beginning of the level and not from the check point I found out the hard way. :(

I am too lazy to look around. How do you actually use a skull once you have it ?

LOL, Not at all, I fully admit I am very sucky at MP, although I do feel I am slightly getting the hang of it now finally. My problem is I only get spurts of time to play, so once I may get into a groove I stop playing. But I have fun, and that is all that honestly matters. I have accepted the fact that I am pretty much going to be on the bottom of the list every-time on MP.

In regards to the length...

I am still on the Campaign and have yet to beat it

I have played the entire thing by myself except about half way through Chapter 4 and the start of Chapter 5 (which I went back and did do on my own).

When I went to play two nights ago I had some unexpected help as I did not realize I chose Campaign instead of Resume Single Player, so right away I just saw Literal Ship running around in front of me. It was without a doubt much easier with someone helping. Much easier. Even though I did keep dying at first, realizing it was an advantage having someone else there, I adapted to it and was much easier.

So I can imagine from seeing it in action going through the Campaign on CoOp could indeed be done in less than 10 hours, and probably much quicker.

But I can say playing the Campaign on Heroic, Solo by myself, I am easily going to be over 10 hours playing, probably closer to 15-20. So really not that short at all when played truly by oneself.

I love MP but my job requires me to go anytime the boss calls me, if I start playing I have to quite in 4 min. I played thru SP on Normal and legendary all alone, I don't know how you guys keep track of time while you play the game I would guesstimate it took me around 7~8 hrs in normal and around same time for legendary. In normal I watched the entire scene and took my time while in legendary I just rushed thru.

I just guesstimate honestly.

The most I get to play in one sitting is 2-3 hours, and 3 hours is pushing it. Usually it is around 1-2 hours. Since it has been released, I have played about 10-12 times, and over half of those times have been on the MP side of things. So if I take about the 4 times spent on SP, and figure that the average of how long I get to play is maybe 2 hours each time, I am guessing 8 hours so far, and in the beginning I took my time, now I am just kind of cruising through.

the iron skulls easy to find its on the the right side of the map on a cliff by the 1st set on enemys you get in contact with

but myself am having problems getting 2 skulls catch skull & fog skull

Having cruised through normal in about 10 hours, i'm now re-doing it on legendary and the difference is massive. You can be running full speed and a jackal will head shot you from miles away! So far it's not been too problematic, however i'm not looking forward to the flood ship level as that was a pain in the arse when I first did it. Don't be surprised if you get a co-op invite in the near future!

    • For some reason I suddenly have the urge to go shopping at Sears.
    • So I did a quick test based on 3+ different public instances from the litany at searx.space ... and it spins everything rather differently. It seems that SearXNG is a meta-search engine (queries multiple search indexes rather than only Google's or Bing's or Wikipedia's or Reddit's) that operates in two modes: > public instances ... each instance opens itself to outside users who piggyback on its cached search history; this instance's own identity becomes known/tracked but end-users are hidden similar to an anonymization proxy; this instance's querying of major search indexes may be API based [rated limited, blocked, etc.]). > private instances ... your private install/instance that itself queries multiple (configurable) search indexes of crawled web content; every major Search Engine associates all traffic to your private instance (so your traffic is tracked via network usages) but client-side tracking (your own browser/computer specs) is flushed because it's a "server" doing the querying rather than your browser. My test asked the same 1 question to the 3+ engines and they all returned vastly different results: some had CAPTCHA failures against Google, some had failures against Wikipedia, and the actual results were also different -- some had auto-complete enabled, others returned a wikipedia highlighted excerpt despite the Wikipedia failure (hinting at results being cached from previous keyword matching), and others just gave an Are-You-Human non-CAPTCHA loop before returning random results. So this begs the caveat: Search query results will vary based on which instance is used because every instance queries the other search indexes separate (and thus its results are influenced on that instance's aggregate search history and index-access limitations). The major distinctions for SearXNG versus DDG or Brave: > The search UI is 'untracked' since no UI trackers are baked-in which would phone home or lay cookies into your browser (for DDG/Brave usage stats), > There is no 'crawler' that canvasses the Internet to discover fresh content (it leaves that to the major search indexes), > Queries multiple search indexes ("meta-search engine") based on the configurations and usage history of the server instance, > Privacy-friendly due to its ability to shield user tracking via standing up a non-local server instance connectable to major VPN providers: queries would all appear to come from general VPN/Proxy providers rather than your private instance (whether installed locally or on your own VPS in the cloud). PS: I've previously come across specialized search engines of this nature that indexes searches across media assets like YT, OF, etc. SearXNG seems to be a good backbone...if the rate-limiting/captcha/etc. issues were resolved.
    • For a guy who claims to hate Farage and the ignorant, gullible, rightwing racist skinheads sponsored by Putin that his lies represent, you sure are quoting them time and time and time again, mate. I guess you're conveniently ignoring the fact that your country and commonwealth just happened to work much better when it was still part of the E.U.? Denial isn't just a river in Egypt.
    • Do you live in the U.K? Do any of the people here that are against the UK leaving the E.U, live in the U.K? If not then why are you bothered? If you do live here then it is a different thing . Brexit was a good idea, should have done it years before, it was done badly, but the idea was good. You are saying the same thing as remainers do, oh we did what Putin wanted, we listened to the lies and Farage. I hate Farage and never believed most of what he said, certainly did not believe the £350m a week for the NHS. But we did pay a lot of money to the E.U and yes some of it came back, but what is the point of paying it out for only some of it to come back? Get out of the E.U, no money to them and in theory we can use the money to do things in the country. I said in theory, but our governments are a total and complete waste of space. No matter what colour rosette they wear. You and others say it was a mistake and yet the two main parties in the U.K are not looking at rejoining the EU, I wonder why that is? I was not tricked by anyone. Makes no odds now, we are out and have been for 10 years, what we need is a decent government to run the country. All they do is shout at each other like a load of kids and seems to do nothing and make this country more into a police and nanny state. Getting more like China all the time.
