I think Claire is dead and her "ghost" or island whatever was in the cabin. How else could she be so calm and not care about Aaron?

After looking up Keamy at Lostpedia, it says:

According to Ben, Keamy served as a first sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1996 to 2001. He later worked for several mercenary companies, doing significant work in Uganda. ("The Shape of Things to Come")

First Sergeant is a rank that normally takes about 15 to 20 years to achieve. It's impossible to become a First Sergeant in five years. Unless he was in the Army for 20 years, and then enlisted into the Marine Corps, but that's stretching it.

EDIT: The more I think about it, he could of been in the Marines for 20 years, and just made the rank of First Sergeant from 1996 to 2001. I'm a very details orientated person! :laugh:

Lostpedia explains his tattoos and offers the theory that the thing Keamy had hooked-up to him was a heartrate monitor. So if he dies, someone will know, and probably something bad would happen.

Actually no. Remember they shot the gun thing, and it took like 20 minutes before it reached the island, well in your theory the projectile would have reached the island 20 minutes before it was fired.

forgot about that...hmmmm

So, I guess the Tempest is on that mountain where Ben is flashing the mirror, possibly calling the Others.

Some things to note from an interview with lost creator got it off the site peewee posted.

* The question is not whether Claire is dead but “What happened to Claire?”

* Christian Shepard is dead.

* Time travel is definitely happening on this show.

* Sounds to me like Richard Alpert is doing it. (Remind me later of a theory I have relating to time travel and the knocking up of Losties' moms!)

* They were surprised by today's "announcement" of two extra episodes in season five and six.

* They know whom Kate will end up with in the very end.

I would guess the Book of Laws.

Clearly it was a 'deadman's switch'. Otherwise Gault would have shot him.

No Its the Temple, when we saw the map that Ben gave Alex it showed the Temple was built into the mountain

Anyone notice that Michael was not allowed to get killed again? There was some debate about Mr Freindly switching the gun before he tried to shoot himself, but yet on the boat, Keamy's gun wouldn't work when he tried to shoot Michael.

Michael still has to blow up the boat.

So, my best guess is Penny comes in a plane to rescue the oceanic six + anyone else. This may be true from viewing the preview from DarkUFO, the oceanic six arrived from a plane, hence the boat was destroyed.

Lost Season 5 Debuts Feb 2009

MIDSEASON SHOWS:

1. "The Goode Family," a new animated series from Mike Judge, creator of "King of the Hill." "The Goode Family" is obsessed with doing the "right" thing, whether it's environmentally, politically or socially. Unfortunately their efforts often have unintended comic consequences (to air Tuesday nights at 9:30/8:30c, after "Dancing with the Stars" closes its fall cycle).

2. "Scrubs," the medical comedy moves from NBC to ABC Tuesday (at 9:00pm, again after "Dancing with the Stars" ends its fall season).

3. An untitled Ashton Kutcher/Tyra Banks beauty pageant (to air Monday nights at 8:00pm during the winter, temporarily replacing 'Dancing with the Stars')

4. "Lost: Season 5," 17 all-new episodes of the blockbuster drama will most probably air on Thursday nights at 10:00pm beginning February 2009, but the exact airdate has yet to be confirmed.

5. "The Bachelor" replaces "Boston Legal" on Monday nights at 10:00pm at midseason.

6. "According to Jim" will inexplicably be back for an 8th season at midseason in an unspecified timeslot.

7. "Primetime: What Would You Do?" will also return.

Gregg Nations on the Part 1 of the Finale

Thank you very much, everyone. Carlton and Damon are good guys, and it's a great crew to be associated with. I guess the big question becomes is the experience of a two week wait actually longer than the June to February wait? Because after this week's episode, I have a feeling many fans will be contemplating that exact spacetime paradox.

Im finally watching season 1 (i originally started watching at the season finale of 1)

Watching episode 10: Raised by Another. Claire goes to the psychic, he says the child must not be parented by anyone but her, and danger surrounds her baby. Her good nature must be the influence in developing the child...

wonder how all that plays into the current stuff with kate and jack raising him

In a Mr Eko flashback in S2 he goes and sees the same psychic while investigating a "miracle" for the church and during their talk the psychic admits he's a phoney.
