How did you find Neowin?

Friend told me, I was intrigued, so I signed up.

I hung out with a group of people that were obsessed with apple products.. They were driving me crazy because they had pictures of the iPhone 4 as their desktop backgrounds and constantly talked about how OSX was much better then windows 7... 

 

Searched the internet about Microsoft products and neowin came up.. it was around the time of the leaks about WP7 and I needed air from apple news for a bit..

I used to use MacRumors and Engadget only, then one day I decided I'd look for a site similar to MacRumors, but Windows orientated. Googled for Windows Rumours, WinRumours and Neowin were the top results.

I typed "Windows/tech forum where most tech questions are answered with variations on the phrase 'Google is your friend' and 90% of the threads have nothing to do with computers/tech and fanboys, idiots and trolls abound" into Altavista and Neowin came top.

I found it through a friend in college. I've been coming here ever since. (11 years now) I didn't sign up until I was out of college, working full-time and I needed something to occupy me. :laugh:

Sometime around 2003 I was trying to find a fix for a problem with my Dad's computer and was then visiting www.MSFN.org. I saw the affiliate tag on MSFN and navigated to Neowin. Been here ever since. I mostly read and used the vast knowledge here and very recently started trying to contribute as well. Thanks guys!!!  :)
