[Official UK] Xbox 360 Special Offers & Deals

Recommended Posts

Woolworths are doing GTA 4 special edition for ?60 which is ?10 off most places and it is free delivery. I dunno what their delivery times are like but seeing as the game is released on a Tuesday, then most places won't actually post the game until the Monday.

Is that offer online only?

Couldn't edit my original post, I misread the original post about GTA4, I read it as "released on tuesday" not "on a tuesday". I'll have to stop speed reading posts :)

Not that it matters, HMV have a much better deal.

You'll also get 10% off if you're a student, so special edition + 1000 points for ?54 (or regular edition + 1000 points for ?40 - 36 if you're a student).

Quote from HMV WebsiteWhat if I pre-order the Special Edition of GTA IV?/b>

If you pre-order the Special Edition of GTA IV on Xbox 360, you?ll only be receiving the money-off vouchers, not the 1000 Xbox LIVE points. The points are only eligible to those pre-ordering the Standard Edition version on Xbox 360.

The GTA woolworths offer is in store too.

Woolworths also are doing an offer on 360s

?200 and 3 free games (PGR 4, Fifa 08 and The Simpsons)

I've read some horror stories regarding HMV pre-orders, so I'm going to give that a miss.

Does anyone know if there is a GAME.co.uk discount code in circulation?

I think you might be right about HMV, I just got an email from them telling me that my preorder was cancelled because "they couldn't fix it". Apparently the problem they're referring to was in a previous email they sent that I never received, so I have absolutely no idea what the problem is. Well done, HMV!

I pre-ordered Lost Odyssey from HMV, got it fine but the disc was faulty, took them 2 weeks to send out a new copy cause they are based in the Channel Islands and also the store and the online store are two different companies meaning you can;t just swap in the store .

HMV = Hopeless Morons with Videogames ... I only use them for music. Every order I have made that isn't audio related has been f00ked up in some way. The last one they sent my stuff to someone else was only when I queried why it hadn't arrived they realised the error.

Anyhoo back on topic, Asda are doing Bully for ?32.97 instore, which isnt to bad:))

The game should be RRP Of 29.99, anymore than that is too expensive cause its not a new game

Yeah HMV are really bad with Pre-Orders imo, I pre-ordered GoW off them and got it a week after the release date, and now i pre-ordered Rainbow 6 Vegas 2, and im still waiting so wont be getting that till Monday, if then.

It's also ?34.99 on Amazon, but P&P is a little more pricey.

Huh?

and I quote...

Price: ?34.99b> & this iteDelivered FREE in the UKb> with Super Saver Delivery.

Yeah super saver can sometimes be good and sometimes it is terrible.

I've got the special edition pre-ordered at Woolworths and selected store pick up. In the past when i've done pre-orders on the 360 and Wii consoles they arrived usually in the afternoon on release day.

In the latest Argos leaflet they have:

Xbox 360 Elite

Wireless controller

Kameo

Fuzion Frenzy 2

Viva Pinata

Project Gotham Racing 3

Xbox 360 Live Arcade Unplugged: Vol 1

For ?260

Gamestation have Rainbow Six Vegas 2 on offer when you buy it with any other game (I'd recommend staying away from it though;)))

And ASDA have their Spring sale also.Link>

    • So, recently, I saw on the news (yes, on this website) that Samsung is introducing features where it can provide education using AI-powered sets, and because of this, I got concerned about whether the AI gives out wrong info during education sessions, causing controversies in the process. What are your thoughts on this?
    • TCL's Bang & Olufsen soundbar is 40% off on Amazon by Ivan Jenic The TCL Design Series A65K is currently $299.99, down from $499.99. That's 40% off and $200 saved on a soundbar tuned by Bang & Olufsen, which is not a combination you'd normally expect at this price point (purchase link below). Bang & Olufsen doesn't typically show up in the sub-$500 category. The Danish audio brand is known for speakers that cost several times more, so having their acoustic tuning on a $300 soundbar is very appealing. TCL handles the hardware, B&O handles the sound engineering, and the result is what the company calls "accessible luxury." Still, accessible luxury isn’t full-fledged luxury, so don’t expect wonders. But this is a decent soundbar, nevertheless. The A65K is a true 3.1.2 channel system with nine physical drivers, including genuine up-firing height speakers for Dolby Atmos and DTS:X. Many soundbars at this price simulate overhead effects through virtual processing, rather than actual hardware. So, you’re getting the real deal. The design is unusually slim for a system with Atmos compatibility. The bar is just under 2 inches deep and should fit beneath most TV screens. The wireless subwoofer is also compact at roughly 14 x 14 x 5 inches. Total output is 460W, and you can connect to the soundbar via HDMI eARC, Bluetooth 5.3, or USB. There are also eight sound modes through the TCL Home app and an AI calibration capability. Although it’s worth mentioning that AI capabilities in most of these devices are inconsistent, to say the least, and that shouldn’t be the biggest selling point. Still, at $299.99, the A65K is a strong buy for anyone who wants a soundbar that sounds and looks noticeably better than what this price range usually offers. And the Bang & Olufsen branding surely sounds nice - pun intended. • And he paid Joe Rogan $30M for podcasts. Terrible company.
    • I sure hope the AI does not give out wrong info during education
