The official website of World Wrestling Entertainment has a story up online noting that WWE Hall of Famer "Stone Cold" Steve Austin will guest host WWE RAW on March 15th, just two weeks before WrestleMania 26.

Last night's edition of WWE RAW (January 11, 2010) scored a final cable rating of 3.7 for the show hosted by legendary boxer "Iron" Mike Tyson.

That is up one tenthof a point from the previous two weeks' 3.6 number. The show did hours of 3.72 and 3.73.

The show faced competition in the form of a live UFC Fight Night special on Spike TV, but also went without competition from NFL's Monday Night Football.

According to a source within WWE, Vince McMahon's mood concerning the current plans for the WrestleMania 26 card are said to be very erratic. The creative team is said to be ducking for cover at this point, as they never know how Vince will react to what the team has planned for the PPV. At times, he is said to be pleased with what the team is doing, and other times he becomes irate demanding that the creative team put something more "exciting" together.

At this point, Vince feels that the current WrestleMania card is lacking "one more big attraction," and he thinks the PPV needs something more than what the current creative plans call for. At this point, the card looks like this:

-Triple H vs Sheamus for the WWE Title.

-Chris Jericho vs Edge. Even though Edge is questionable at this point, WWE is banking on him being able to return in time for the PPV because they want to book this match.

-Vince McMahon vs Bret Hart. This match is said to be a lock right now.

-Randy Orton vs Ted DiBiase, Jr is likely, but these plans are far from set in stone.

Vince wants to book something big for John Cena, and he is trying very hard to put together a Cena vs The Rock match for the show, but it all depends on Dwayne Johnson's schedule, and the outlook at this point is not too good.

my opinion, forget about The cRock, I wanna see Cena kicked in the gut and beat with a stunner

On his Facebook account, John "Bradshaw" Layfield responded to The Miz referencing him as a "veteran Miz hater in the WWE locker room" during a promo on Monday's RAW. "I hear Miz cut a promo on me last night on Raw. Heard he called me a dinosaur- he is correct, I am down here in the tar pits in Cabo right now using my wireless as I look over sea of Cortez-Dino, heaven where an old wrestler should be and he is right where a young wrestler with a great future should be -- cutting a promo on me in front of large crowd. Go get 'em kid, because I am, no joking whatsoever, pulling for you!"

WWE wrestler Randy Orton is being accused of assault by a 15-year-old male who says he was looking for a photo with Orton in a parking lot at the Kowloon restaurant outside of Boston, Mass. on Tuesday night.

The male alleges that Orton spit gum at him and called him a "derogatory name." The 15-year-old's mother confronted Orton, who allegedly told her, "so sue me."

The teenager filed a report with local police, who say a hearing has been requested for Orton to face charges of simple assault and battery.

Wickedlocal.com reports that a clerk magistrate will determine if the incident warrants a criminal complaint.

The teenager says he took a photo of Orton from a distance, then walked up to Orton looking for a photo together, which led to the alleged incident.

Orton was at the Raw TV taping on Monday, January 11 in Minneapolis, Minn., but it's not clear why he was in the Boston area on Tuesday.

While Vince McMahon was no-selling Jeff Hardy appearing on TNA's three-hour iMPACT! broadcast last week backstage, it's been said that he was "privately seething" over the former WWE Champion's decision to jump ship to the competition. As noted earlier, WWE promptly removed Hardy from its opening video montage. Many others have been removed as well.

WWE officials were hoping his legal issues would be settled in time for a match with CM Punk at WrestleMania, but with those plans now out the window, they'll likely go with Punk vs. Rey Mysterio in a Hair vs. Mask Match as we reported Monday here on the website.

Just read on The Sun, they chose Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle as the wrestlers of the decade.

SUNSPORT today name Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels as our wrestlers of the decade.

Rated solely on work inside in the ring ? rather than storylines, characters or promos ? TNA's Olympic gold medallist and WWE's Heartbreak Kid easily came out on top.

Our team of five wrestling writers spent the last few months compiling an in-depth look back at 2000-2009.

For each year they selected the three best matches ? and it is these on which our results are based.

Of the 30 best bouts of the decade, which you can see by clicking here, Michaels and Angle appeared in EIGHT each.

That is double their closest rivals ? Triple H, Edge and Samoa Joe ? who all scored four. Behind them were Undertaker and Mick Foley with three apiece.

Simon Rothstein, who headed up our panel, said: "Nobody in wrestling, and perhaps no one in any sport, came close to the consistent brilliance Michaels and Angle showed throughout the decade.

"Some, such as Triple H and Mick Foley, started the noughties with a bang while others ended in top form, most notably TNA's Samoa Joe and WWE legend The Undertaker.

"But Michaels and Angle were the guys who, year after year, were having the sort of outstanding matches fans will be still be watching a decade from now."

When 1990s legend Michaels returned to the ring in 2002, after a 'career-ending' back injury, everyone thought it was just for a short non-wrestling run.

But his first bout back, against pal Triple H at SummerSlam, stole the show and he is still turning the back years today at 44.

Michaels can also be confirmed as Mr WrestleMania ? five of his eight prize-winning fights were at WWE's showpiece event.

They were the triple threat with HHH and Chris Benoit, and singles outings against Chris Jericho, Angle, Ric Flair and Undertaker.

His other three bouts to rate were against Hunter, Jericho and John Cena.

Angle, 41, has also showed impressive staying power throughout the last 10 years.

He scored five of his eight top clashes in WWE ? against Steve Austin, Benoit, Edge, Michaels and Brock Lesnar.

However, when he left the federation under a cloud, and plagued by personal problems, many assumed it was the end of a brilliant career.

Yet the man who won his gold medal with a broken neck showed the same resilience in bouncing back and performing at the same elevated level in TNA.

There we rated two of his bouts with Samoa Joe and his recent contest with Desmond Wolfe as among as the best in their years.

Rothstein concluded: "Michaels and Angle have always given their all to put on the best show possible for the fans.

"This is a richly deserved prize."

WWE has officially announced that the comedy duo Cheech and Chong, comprised of Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong, will host the March 1st edition of WWE Raw.

LOL that should be interesting if not hysterical to watch.

The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Edge's Achilles heel injury is healing ahead of schedule, and there is a possibility that he might be ready to return to the ring in time for The Royal Rumble. If he does not return then, the feeling is that he will most likely return shortly after the PPV. Either way, it seems that he will be returning prior to WrestleMania which would allow him to wrestle at the big PPV. We exclusively reported last week that WWE definitely wants to book Edge vs Chris Jericho for Mania, playing off the angle set up between the two of them when Jericho replaced Edge with Big Show as his tag team partner.

W00T

Who do you guys think will be the other two participants?

RVD has said that he does not want to come back to wrestling full-time, but I am going to call his bluff. He will be in the Rumble, dudes. The second participant I have a feeling will be Edge - which I cannot freaking wait for. He is one of my favorite wrestlers of all time, probably second or third.

My "dream" participant would be The Rock - but we know that pansy will not be doing ring work for now. He will eventually, I know it! Wrestling never leaves your heart and soul for good.

    • The very fact that a TPM (v2.0 specifically which is part of the issue I suspect) is now a baseline for any supported Windows installation will naturally mean other vendors will start to leverage it as they know it'll be there. It's called progress, and it's always been the way. A TPM isn't a windows thing, it's just a module designed to securely store keys. Secure boot isn't a Windows thing (although MS are the TCA as I recall hence the upheaval this year as the 2011 certs expire), it's just a way to verify a bootloader is signed. Windows simply leverages them.

    • AMD RX 9070 GRE AI, Blender benchmarks vs 9070 XT, 7800XT, Nvidia RTX 5070, 4070 by Sayan Sen Earlier this week, we shared the first part of our review of AMD's new RX 9070 GRE. It was about the gaming performance of the GPU, and we gave it an 8 out of 10. As a follow-up, similar to how we did with the 9070 XT and non-XT, we are doing a dedicated productivity review for the RX 9070 GRE as well, where we compare it against the 9070 XT, 9070, 7800 XT, as well as Nvidia's 5070 and 4070. This will include AI, rendering, compute, and more benchmarks. AI performance, especially, is a very important metric in today's world, and AMD also promised big improvements thanks to its underlying architectural improvements. We will be pitching it against the data we already have for the RX 9070, and RX 9070 XT, but also the Nvidia 5070 FE, MSI GeForce RTX 4070 VENTUS 2X 12G, and Gigabyte Radeon RX 7800 XT GAMING OC 16G as they are in a similar price class, but also because we do not have a comparable 5060 Ti card lying around here that we can compare it against. Before we get underway, this is a collaboration between Sayan Sen and Steven Parker, who lent me his test bed. Also, there was no editorial input from AMD. First up, the specs of the RX 9070, 9070 XT, and 9070 GRE, which were given to us by AMD: Radeon RX 9070 GRE Radeon RX 9070 Radeon RX 9070 XT Boost Clock: Game Clock: up to 2.79GHz up to 2.20GHz up to 2.52GHz up to 2.07GHz up to 2.97GHz up to 2.40GHz Stream Processors 3,072 (48 CU) 3,584 (56 CU) 4,096 (64 CU) Ray Accelerator 48 56 64 AI Accelerator 96 112 128 ROPs 96 128 Texture Mapping Units 192 224 256 Memory 12 GB GDDR6, 18Gbps Clock, 192-bit Bus 432 GB/s 16 GB GDDR6, 20Gbps Clock, 256-bit Bus Effective Memory Bandwidth: 640 GB/s Infinity Cache 48 MB (3rd Gen) 64 MB (3rd Gen) Card Bus PCI-E 5.0 X16 Output 2x HDMI 2.1b 2x DisplayPort 2.1a Power consumption 220W 304W Recommended PSU 650W 750W Slot width 2x 3x Price (SEP) $549 $599 As you can see from the specs above, it is less than the standard RX 9070 in every way that counts, except for slightly higher Boost and Game clock speed. Design Moving on, the RX 9070 GRE we were given is an XFX Swift triple-fan, dual-slot design with two 8-pin connectors. At 30cm (self-measured), it will fit in most systems easily. There is no RGB either. The AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE by XFX from all angles. Test system Our test system consists of the following: Lian Li O11 Dynamic Mini V2 Flow (Amazon|Newegg) ASUS Z890 ProArt Creator WiFi (Amazon|Newegg) Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus (Amazon|Newegg) Thermal Grizzly KryoSheet - 44x37 (Amazon|Newegg) 2x 16GB G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB (7200 MT/s in XMP) (Amazon|Newegg) Sabrent Rocket4 Plus 2TB SSD (Amazon) Windows 11 25H2 (Build 26200.8246) AMD shared a press driver based on the recently released Adrenaline 26.5.2 that we were required to use. We now move on to our benchmarks. First up, we have Geekbench AI running on ONNX. For some reason, the 9070 GRE does exceptionally well here in both half-precision (FP16) and single-precision (FP32). It manages to beat the RTX 5070 and RX 9070 non-XT, and is only behind the 9070 XT. Since Geekbench runs in short bursts instead of continuously hammering the graphics card, it seems the GRE's faster boost clocks are helping here. Next up, we move to the UL Procyon AI test suite, starting with the image generation benchmark. We chose the Stable Diffusion XL FP16 test since it is the most intense workload available on Procyon. The Nvidia cards do very well here, as even the 4070 out-muscles AMD's best fairy easily. The positive thing about the GRE is that it gets quite close to the 9070 non-XT in this test; this indicates that the VRAM does not play a very big role here, as SD XL relies on float16 (FP16). So this is something to keep in mind again. If you wish to work with float32 AI workloads, graphics cards with larger than 12 GB buffers would likely emerge as victors. Regardless, the gains are still massive on AMD's 9000 series compared to the 7000 series. Following image generation, we move to the text generation benchmark. This is one test where the 9070 GRE struggled, quite a lot. It seems that the 12 GB VRAM and lower memory bandwidth of the new Radeon 9070 GRE are hurting it quite a bit; the split is massive, especially in a test like Llama2, which packs 13 billion parameters. As such, in all the tests, the 9070 GRE is the slowest of the lot. Next, we tried Blender, and here the AMD GPUs were beaten by Nvidia. Rendering is something the Green team has always had a lead over the Red side, and it has not changed so far. On the positive side, though, the 9070 GRE shows significantly better results than the 7800 XT, which means AMD is on the right path. Catching up to Nvidia, though, will require a lot more effort. And we hope HIP and ROCm can keep improving. Wrapping up AI testing, we measured OpenCL throughput in the Geekbench compute benchmark. The RX 9070 GRE alongside the 9070 did not fare well here at all, even falling behind the 7800 XT. Interestingly, even the RTX 5070 could not beat the 4070 on OpenCL, so perhaps this suggests that OpenCL optimization may not have been a priority for either AMD or Nvidia in the modern era. Conclusion We reached the end of our productivity performance review of the 9070 GRE, and we have to say it's a mixed bag. Unlike the 9070 and 9070 XT, the GRE excels in some areas while losing ground fairly easily in others. Similar to how it happened in gaming, any time the card's memory subsystem gets hammered, it tends to fall behind the others. This was the case with text generation, wherein we saw the VRAM sometimes hit its maximum available 12 GB of usage with larger model sizes. So what do we make of the RX 9070 as a productivity hardware? It can certainly be used, but you have to know it has its limitations. For those looking for a GPU that can deal with more, AMD recently unveiled the Radeon AI PRO R9700, which is essentially a 32 GB refresh of the 9070 XT with some additional workstation-based optimizations. On a similar note, the new Ryzen AI Halo platform is something you can consider if you want to set up a local AI processing station. Considering everything, we rate AMD's Radeon RX 9070 GRE a 7.5 out of 10 for its productivity performance. Price is less of a factor for those looking at productivity cases compared to those considering the GPU for gaming, and as such, we felt it did quite decently on many occasions and can be handy if you need a 12 GB GPU and, for some reason, don't want to get Nvidia.
