If this is to be a one-fight deal, Goldberg will lose.  WWE can't help but keep feeding Lesnar wins he doesn't deserve.

'Deserve' is such a silly thing in pro wrestling since its scripted. Not only that, but how would Goldberg 'deserve' to win? He hasn't wrestled in what, 12 years?

I have no interest in this match. Zero. Goldberg back then was a sh*ttier Roman Reigns. Now he's probably downright terrible.

Of course it's scripted.  But Brock is being fed people who need the win to get their character over, have contributed towards the WWE by wrestling many events and house shows.  I just don't rate him as a wrestler or human being.

How does Goldberg fit into any of that? I would book Goldberg to get beat by a goddamn mop handle. He's bad (both in the ring and everything written about him says also as a human being) and deserves nothing.

I've not heard that about him.  I know he is very much "turn up, fight, get paid" and has no allegiance, but I've never heard anything bad about him as a person.  But yes, I take your point about really he's just as Lesnar as far as the business end goes.

Well, with that in mind and bearing that I met Jericho in person (outside of his WWE persona and as the frontman of Fozzy) and found him one of the most open, personable, fun and also humble people I've ever encountered - I take the quotes at face value.

Brock is being fed people

really ?

Destroying Cena , Roman etc was really what he does.

Love it when he gets into his destroying mode & most people do too.

Please read about him more & you will change that opinion.

Like it or not Brock does give it all in ring

WWE could have used him better(Champion? More main events?) but people love to see him unlike "ROMAN" or "CENA"

With Brock Anybody that he steps into the ring with, he can elevate just by his intensity which most others cannot do and he brings that AURA with him.

EVEN Biggest Draw in UFC History(It's no small thing not even Georges St-Pierre or Anderson Silva headlined cards have broken Lesnar’s 1.6 million PPV record at UFC 100)

Plus he works is A-OFF

Read somewhere MMA training camp are insanely difficult. You have to work out twice a day for six days a week while also eating healthy and possibly managing media at the same time. Now imagine doing that with a disease which wreaks havoc on your large intestine. But that's not all Lesnar was stricken by an attack of diverticulitis, a disease which occurs when pouches in the large intestine become inflamed or infected. For Lesnar, the disease meant that he almost died due to doctors not being able to find out what was wrong with him initially. Lesnar ran from Canada’s “third world health care” to North Dakota where he learnt that fecal matter was dropping into his abdomen.

Due to his immune system working overtime, Lesnar also contracted mononucleosis at the same time. Through a freak miracle Lesnar avoided surgery when his body healed itself with antibiotics and a change in diet, allowing him to return to the UFC. The disease flared up again in 2011, but that time surgery was needed to fix him and a 12 inch piece of his colon was cut out and repaired to cure him of his disease.

As a person just read in his 2011 autobiography “Death Clutch” — which was co-authored by Paul Heyman — stating that the sword on his chest represents the myriad pressures he felt during a dark period in his life after leaving WWE.

“I felt like life was holding a sword right up against my throat, so I went under the ink gun because I never wanted to forget exactly how I felt at that time,” Lesnar wrote. “The tattoo on my chest has so much meaning to me. In some ways, it’s funny, because the period of my life that I’m talking about is a time I so want to forget, but I know I can use this memory as motivation.”

I like him for the Man he is in and out of the ring

Brock Lesnar is the most passionate wrestler to have ever stepped in the wrestling ring. If  put him in an octagon,in a fight situation, there's no one on this planet that could possibly take him down.

WWE consists of wrestlers that are portrayed as the "good" guys and the "bad" guys.Surely,Brock has been continuously portrayed as a "bad" guy.
The reasons are many. One probable reason is because he never had a smooth-understanding relationship with the WWE stakeholders and owners, like the one John Cena has.

Wrestling career, particularly in WWE,doesn't essentially rely only on being athletic, having a daunting physique and equipped with wrestling skills. But,it too relies on being a good orator.

For instance,John Cena can connect with the WWE Universe with ease.He is the master speaker when it comes to entertain the public with the mic, which makes him a "good" guy. That makes him a likeable guy because the public can relate with him and he didn't hurl abuses at them at any point in his whole career till date.

On the other side,Brock has, since his debut, only focussed on being the best wrestler with his 'ring' performance. He doesn't like to speak much in the ring which makes him a lesser speaker.
He represents animalistic strength and the desire to be the best. To which the general common public cannot relate much.

Being a successful WWE Superstar, one cannot be his true self and he has to portray a false identity. This was one of the reasons that Brock despised the most and still does

watching the following video, one can pretty much figure out what truely Brock is.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2e4Fs5xP4O8

He is more of a Man than others yet he is Just like jerico a great guy outside too.

But hate it when people do not appreciate what the are getting with BROCK LESNAR. Glodberg etc don't even come close to him.

He is in the mix with the best  not just for the person he is out side the ring but also he can elevate just by his intensity which most others cannot do.

Not disrespecting you, just felt it was a lot to quote.  I shall read your comments.  I just find some of the things he has said in interviews quite offensive.

Not disrespecting you too but some of the things he has said in interviews might be quite offensive but sometimes it's also part of his work which he has to do.

Uhmm, what?! I'm sorry, but to me this is like comparing Doink to Taker. Reigns is pathetic to say the least, I don't like how they dress him, how he wrestles, how he speaks, absolutely nothing. Goldberg, on the other hand, had basically squash matches his entire WCW run and people loved it. Never god tired of it, as I also never did back then. There was something about this guy that got you really pumped up on his matches. Reigns...is useless. Or maybe used improperly, I don't know. In 1 million years he will never have Goldberg's charisma. I don't care if he only cares about money, if he's not a good wrestler, he is entertaining people and that is all that matters. To be fair, there were different times, he was younger and no PG crap, but I still think he can do it in the ring. At least for a handful of matches.

I might be the only one who is absolutely thrilled for Goldberg's appearance next week (yet I wish they wouldn't announce it...), but I don't care, I will enjoy every second of it. And considering how hard it was for both parties to agree to terms so far, I would imagine that he won't be back just to play a ###### script or get demolished by Lesnar. He's not a stupid man. This might turn out to be much better than anyone is thinking right now. :)

Whoa, I didn't say people didn't/don't enjoy Goldberg. But he is/was not very talented in the ring. He has NEVER 'done it' in the ring. He has what, 3 total moves? And people talk about Cena being limited? Please.

His 'charisma'? That he slaps himself in the head and roars? Yeah, thats some great character there. He's a train wreck on the mic. No way you can dispute that.

Goldberg and Brock are very much the same - their sole focus is making money.

I agree, but that was the best thing about him and, in my opinion, the only thing that matters these days: he didn't need more than 3 moves and 2 words to entertain people. :) To me that's one of the greatest gifts a wrestler can have. Take Lesnar for example. I really believe that without Heyman he would be just another Rayback. He does what Goldberg used to do, but there is THAT one thing that's missing. And Goldberg always had it.

This match won't be entertaining. Unless Brock murders him.

I guess we will have to wait and see :) And to be honest I'm mostly looking forward to everything LEADING to that match.

Ugh why, the only one who can talk on the mic is Heyman. Lesnar is horrible on the mic, and Goldberg isn't much better. Though he has done more acting and what not than Lesnar has since the last time he was in a ring. So maybe he might be able to talk some... Heyman would be the only reason I'd tune in, other than to see each week as one beats the other to a pulp unless they are going to Lesnar-ize Goldberg completely.

If he is back just for one match then it could go other way too,

last time they met Brock was one the way from WWE (Which was to prove himself like CM PUNK)

Any ideas on which ppv the match will be?

As noted, suspended WWE star Paige’s family has spoken out publicly about her 60 day suspension, with Paige’s father claiming that she is taking doctor prescribed painkillers to treat an ongoing neck injury.

Paige’s brothers Zak and Roy also offered their opinions on social media, and claimed Paige was not being treated properly for her medical issues, leading to her “going private” and receiving the painkiller prescriptions.

WWE released a statement to The New York Post, responding to the above claims, and it reads as follows:

Quote

“Saraya-Jade Bevis tested positive for an illegal substance, not a prescription drug. In addition, WWE is providing world-class medical care for her in-ring injury.”

    • yeah it seems to be Edge only. The dialog buttons work as expected in Chrome and Firefox. The phone is using Android 16 (OneUI 8.5) and Edge version  149.0.4022.53
    • I'm not aware of this issue, but to help the other guys.  What version of Android are you using? Did you try a different browser? To see if Edge is the issue here.

Here is a better article so you actually know what is going on and answers questions you had in other comments --> https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/05/speed-boosting-low-latency-profile-is-one-of-the-improvements-coming-to-windows-11/ It is unclear if one will be able to disable the new profile at this point but I am not seeing any reason why one would.
