As noted, Chancellor Ellen Hobbs Lyle today ruled against Billy Corgan’s request for a temporary injunction against TNA, which as noted would have prevented the company from making major business decisions or sell the company without Corgan being involved in the decision.

Corgan is currently owed $1.8 million in loans he made to TNA, and the company has until tomorrow, November 1st to pay the money back to Corgan. As a result of today’s courtroom ruling, Corgan is effectively out of the business decision making process in TNA, but he can move forward with his lawsuit should he choose to do so. Corgan has made three loans to TNA, with the final loan carrying a provision that would grant Corgan Dixie Carter’s 92.5% voting rights in TNA. The judge today ruled that provision is not enforceable by law.

Anthem Sports & Entertainment Corp. previously agreed to repay Billy Corgan the money he is owed, but they refused to pay a 50% transaction fee, which according to PWInsider.com, the court ruled Corgan is not owed a transaction fee since there is no evidence of any filings proving any acquisition of TNA and its parent company.

If Anthem does indeed pay Corgan back the money, that would likely give them 85% control of the company, with Aroluxe having a 10% stake and Dixie Carter the remaining 5%.

Anthem Sports & Entertainment and Impact Ventures Announce Credit Relationship

Toronto, Canada (November 3, 2016) – Anthem Sports & Entertainment Corp. and Impact Ventures, parent company of TNA Impact Wrestling, today announced that Anthem has provided a credit facility to TNA to fund operations.

Anthem Sports & Entertainment Corp. is a global sports media company that operates Fight Network, Impact Wrestling’s exclusive broadcaster in Canada, as well as the exclusive worldwide digital streaming partner for all TNA programming. It is also an equity stakeholder of Impact Ventures.

The agreement includes the appointment of Anthem Executive Vice President Ed Nordholm to the Impact Ventures Board of Managers. The company will be managed by the Board with Mr. Nordholm representing the Board on all major operating and restructuring decisions. Dixie Carter will continue as Chair of the Company, as well as her position on the Board of Managers. Billy Corgan is no longer with the company.

“We have had a successful, long-term partnership with Fight Network as our Canadian broadcaster, and more recently as our global digital partner,” said Dixie Carter. “Anthem’s team has extensive media experience, and I am excited to have that available to us as we plan for the future.”

“We have consistently maintained that investing in content as we grow our distribution is important as a strategic necessity, and working more closely with a strong brand like TNA is in line with that. This financing is an extension of the support we have been providing since the beginning of the year,” said Leonard Asper, CEO of Anthem. “There are tremendous opportunities to support the company’s growth on all platforms and in all media along side Dixie and the incredible talent and staff at TNA.”

For ######'s sake, there goes the one chance TNA had to turn things around.

Yeah, not sure what they were thinking with this offer/deal. They couldn't have been that blind as to why the company was in the crapper to begin with, but they saw fit to accept a deal to keep Dixie Carter in there, and get rid of Corgan who was literally the one thing trying to keep the company from collapsing in on itself? Sure, why not.

Wow, Corgan sure did have a Twitter meltdown I guess? Could have been worse I suppose. Don't blame him though, at all. In the end this whole thing is just ridiculous - not to mention people's livelihoods are at stake and an entire company is hanging by a thread (literally). I just wonder how much leverage Corgan has at this point, or even Matt/Jeff Hardy, what with them saying they wanted to buy TNA etc.

The American Electoral College Explained for Wrestling Fans

Quote

With a historic election just days away, the Kayfabe News Political Affairs Bureau in Washington has created a handy guide to help wrestling fans understand how the complicated democratic system actually chooses, or “puts over,” a new president of the United States.

Citizens of the US do not directly elect a president, but rather choose “electors” — essentially a creative team — who pledge to “push” a given candidate.

The number of “electors” is proportional to a state’s members of Congress, similarly to how Monday Night Raw (the wrestling equivalent of, say, California) has many more backstage agents than TNA Impact (the wrestling equivalent of, fittingly, Tennessee).

All states, except for jobber states Maine and Nebraska, have chosen a “winner-takes-all” basis, meaning the presidential candidate that amasses the most votes (like a WWE App poll) will be booked to “go over” by the electors.

On rare occasions, the electors will “turn heel” by voting contrary to their pledge — a screwjob swerve that which puts the heel elector at risk of party censure (essentially a loser-leaves-town stipulation).

The candidate who receives an absolute majority of electoral votes goes over via clean finish, but if there’s a broadway to a Dusty Finish or schmoz with no absolute majority, the winner is chosen by the House of Representatives (i.e. the McMahon family).

Given that this election is rare heel-versus-heel deathmatch, however, whichever worker gets the presidential strap will surely draw X-Pac Heat and be a paper champion for four years until a new babyface gets the rub during the primaries (or house shows).

Recent polls suggest that the majority of voters would prefer if the Oval Office were occupied by Vacant.

LOL, attacked by masked dudes, then "slightly" kicked off a fork lift, Matt has amnesia heh. Maybe he's getting tired of doing that horrible accent of his and super tired of the over acting he's doing? :D

Best part? Grado asking for a selfie with Jeff/Brother Nero and he did it and it looked funny as hell.

^^ Serves them right for going to ICW territory; they love a good singsong up Glesga!

Not long to go until it's ICW's turn to pack out the Hydro. Roll on the 20th and bollocks to Survivor Series!

    • If its the devs fault you would think Unreal would help M$ take full advantage of Unreal and work with them to fix the performance issues. Otherwise they are catching unwarranted bad press.
    • Thanks for the advice guys, I'll give my current GPU a clean and then run the benchmarks to see how similar it is. Hopefully a bit of a clean-out will help it last a bit longer.
    • Pretty sure those will still be in this game. The series' well-explored psychosis themes will return as well.

    • Microsoft making much needed change to Windows 11, 10 Patch Tuesday security updates by Sayan Sen Recently, Microsoft delivered its latest Defender patches for Windows 11 ISOs. These definitions are released from time to time alongside the general security updates available during Patch Tuesday. Speaking of Defender, the company has now announced another important change that affects how security updates are delivered to enterprise devices running Windows. According to a recent announcement, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint's endpoint detection and response (EDR) updates will no longer be bundled with the monthly Windows security updates or Patch Tuesdays. Instead the company is shifting delivery of these updates to Microsoft Update, bringing EDR servicing in line with several other Microsoft Defender components. If you recall, Microsoft last year moved PowerShell updates to Microsoft Update (MU) as well since it provides automatic updates for Microsoft products and services. Thus the move is intended to allow Microsoft to deliver EDR improvements and security enhancements independently of the OS's regular monthly update cycle; this should enable faster deployment of protection updates without requiring organizations to wait for the next Patch release. For those unfamiliar, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint's EDR capabilities are designed to help organizations detect, investigate, and respond to advanced threats across managed devices. Keeping these components updated is critical for maintaining protection against evolving attack techniques. The rollout has already began for Windows 10 devices in late May 2026 (last month) and Microsoft says it will gradually expand support to Windows 11 and the remaining supported Windows versions over the coming months. The company expects deployment across Windows 10 and Windows 11 to be completed by fall 2026 or around Q3 of this year. Once the transition is complete, EDR updates will be delivered through Microsoft Update using KB5005292, provided the required prerequisite updates have already been installed. Microsoft is also introducing a new Defender Update Service as part of the change. Following installation of the first update, devices will automatically create a new directory located at %ProgramData%\Microsoft\Microsoft Defender\Defender Update. Microsoft notes that restarts may occasionally be necessary in case of "rare" failure scenarios. For most organizations, the tech giant says no action will be required as long as Microsoft Update is already permitted within their update management strategy. Admins who rely on manually deployed update packages, however, will need to adjust their processes to ensure the new Defender update package is included. Microsoft also recommends reviewing internal documentation and notifying helpdesk and security operations teams about the updated delivery mechanism to avoid confusion during the transition. As a prerequisite, the tech giant notes that systems must be running Sense version 10.8798.25857.1000 or later and have one of the following Windows updates (or later) installed: Win11 24H2 KB5062660 (2025-07 Cumulative Update Preview) Win11 23H2 KB5062663 (2025-07 Cumulative Update Preview) Win11 22H2 KB5062663 (2025-07 Cumulative Update Preview) Win10 22H2 KB5062649 (2025-07 Cumulative Update Preview) Win10 1809 KB5063877 (2025-08 Cumulative Update) Server 2019 KB5063877 (2025-08 Cumulative Update) Server 2022 KB5063880 (2025-08 Cumulative Update) Server 2025 KB5063878 (2025-08 Cumulative Update) As always, organizations should verify that their update policies align with the new servicing approach before the broader rollout reaches all supported Windows platforms later this year. In case of major problems, the EDR update can be rolled back to the inbox version stored in %ProgramFiles%\\Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) using: MpCmdRun.exe -RevertMde -Product Edr -ToVersion Inbox For those who have access to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center portal, you can view the message here under ID MC1381119.
