XP SP3 Integrated Images on MSDN & Technet!

Recommended Posts

Can this be downloaded from a torrent and installed legally if one (read: me :D ) has a legit XP key? It should work (right?), but is it legal? Because wouldn't this be like slipstreaming SP3 into my gold XP disc?

Yes it will work, and yes it's legal.

Since I am only seeing "Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 3 (x86) - CD (English)" on MSDN

Can I assume that do to the cd-key changes, this one ISO can be used with OEM, VLK and Retail keys?

Ahh no I see what they did, they have 2 copies on their but neither is labeled Retail or VL.... hmmm.

The 1st hash you posted is from the standalone Service Pack, the 2nd hash is from the slipstreamed ISO.

Download them from MSDN or Technet and you won't need to be concerned about the hash codes (you know what you are getting). But wait! 99% of people downloading from some God only knows P2P site think because the hash code is the same, no viruses have been added. Good luck!

hash codes are reliable... changing a single byte in the file would result in a complete different hash.

AFAIK , no one is able to create an ISO with all hash the same & size the same,

while filling the ISO with junk.

Are you saying that an image with the same SHA1 can be faked?

Don't be so naive. If you download scene releases from a private source, there is no need to worry about viruses. :shiftyninja:

Well, these 99% know their sh*t.

But I see where the real problem is. You - obviously - don't understand what a "hash" is. It's not the stuff you smoke!

Here are 2 wikipedia links for your reading pleasure:

That guy is right, hash codes are a sham! You wouldn't want to download the wrong horsie porn vid because of a hash collision, would you? CRC? Cyclic my ass! >=\

LoL. Some of the comments here are simply dumb. Once the SHA-1 hash is the same, it is the EXACT SAME FILE. It's that simple. It can't be "faked" (I'm talking about SHA-1 of course. MD5 can be faked, but only without keeping the same iso directory tree and with a LOT of math work). Don't be lame.

Some people just don't get sarcasm. Watch more horsie porn.

Edit: Btw, it is practically impossible to fake a hash code (depends on the hash algorithm, but even so,it's impossible). It would take much less effort and time to just punch everyone on the planet.

    • Salesforce to acquire Fin, formerly Intercom, for over $3 billion by David Uzondu Image via DepositPhotos.com Salesforce today announced that it has reached an agreement with customer support software company Fin to buy the company for around $3.6 billion. Salesforce expects the transaction to close in the fourth quarter of its fiscal year 2027, and the acquisition will not change its financial guidance previously announced on May 27. Marc Benioff, CEO of Salesforce, in its press release, claimed that acquiring the startup gives Salesforce an immediate AI agent that resolves support tickets across email, WhatsApp, SMS, and Slack: You might know Fin by its former name, Intercom. If you have ever been on a website or inside a mobile app and noticed a little chat bubble widget floating in the bottom right corner of your screen, often featuring a friendly face and a message like, "Hi! How can we help you today?" you were almost certainly looking at Intercom. Intercom became Fin just last month, transforming itself into an "AI-first" platform that handles customer issues with little need for humans to intervene. The new name originates from the company's highly successful AI customer service agent, which it launched way back in 2023. This digital assistant supposedly resolves about 76% of customer service volume end-to-end on its own, so the business rebranded to match its primary software tool. Fin's new owners, Salesforce, went on an acquisition spree over the last few years, and some of them you might recognize, like its 2020 $27.7 Billion acquisition of Slack. The last few months saw the enterprise giant buy several startups, including m3ter, Momentum, Cimulate, and Contentful. Salesforce said that when the Fin deal pulls through, customers will "deploy AI agents across" various service operations, which will complement Agentforce, the platform that enables businesses to deploy customizable autonomous digital workers.
