Anyone tried Haze? It's terrible!

So because Free Radical wanted to make a PS3 game that wouldn't feature on the 360 it automatically makes it bad? The logic shown on these forums is shocking at times.

OBVIOUSLY! lol

the ps3 has more hardware sales, and making it on one console simplifies there job, so why not.

Downloaded it, took a bit of time, but I don't expect super download speeds with only a 2Mb connection, lol.

I am not quite sure why people are saying how great it looked, maybe I wasn't paying enough attention, but there wasn't really anything that stood out to be that great to me.

The trees all looked very placed, walking up to some fo the plants revealed horrible bland textures, it didn't seem to be anything special in any way, maybe it is that way due to them getting 4-player co-op from one console into it, or just because its a demo, but we will see in time.

The game play was ok, I quite like the necter part, just because its something kinda new I suppose, getting it into the system and seeing people easier was interesting and hitting someone and seeing them fly off was quite cool, but nothing really innovative in any way.

I was generally disappointed, I was expecting something a bit more form the guys that brought us Timesplitters, or maybe I need to play it with friends to get the most fun out of it, though like Heavenly Sword for downloading over a gigabyte I did expect it to be a bit longer.

I can't stand it when people use the wrong "their".

I'm right there with you man! I have since stopped correcting people, however, because when I do correct someone they're always like, "Oh, I didn't know I was in English class" or some crap. Idiots.

Anyway, I usually just provide a helpful link to a site like so: http://www.wikihow.com/Use-There,-Their-and-They're

With a smiley for good measure. :)

It does in the case of the PS3. It appears that some of the wifi cards are not up to speed. I've spoken to Sony about it and they told me that they are working on a firmware for PS3's with slow wifi. Not sure when/if its due out.

The way around it is to use a wireless bridge.

That won't help me since it is connected directly with ethernet. There is also no slightly slower to it. It is mind boggling slower.

I'm trying to work out what part of that quote says the title is bad because it's a PS3 exclusive...Infact he never even said it was a bad game just one he wasn't interested in...

Anyway hopefully the game does turn out alright. Honestly but from the preview videos I wasn't that interested in this game. For some reason the game looked a bit flat to me, not the graphics but the combat and gameplay. I'm sure 4player coop would be cool but and if it reviews alright I'll give it a shot maybe when i do get a PS3.

Except what I said was that this game didn't even catch any of my attention and I didn't know it was cancelled for the 360 until this thread. It's okay. :p

I agree with you all, Haze is pretty lame. I wasn't expecting much of a game based on what Ive seen so far, and the demo was just that. With MGS4 and Ninja Gaiden 2 right around the corner, I'll pass on Haze. Games like Haze are what gamefly is for.

I have let my friends try the demo out just to see what they thought of it. I have let people that don't play games try it out and find it terrible. I have read on other forums what people think of the game and most people will not even consider buying it. Haze will definitely be a rent-only game, it's just another typical FPS....

The demo took close to 35 mins to download and 10 mins to install. Tried it out... and the demo doesn't seem to do justice on this product. I think they approached this demo completely wrong completely removing a story driven push. I think they were trying to go more for a Tech Demo than anything to show off, and they have had that demo for awhile now. Usually game companies will not spend a lot of man hours / time and money on demos depending on the product. The marketing team just shelled out a lot of money for the group, Korn to push it more than anything else. There was no more than nothing embedded into this demo; just to show off. I did check it out, look around, demo done style. From trailers I've watched, it could be better once it is released. The 4 player coop could save it, it may not. It just all depends. But, I will buy the game, even if it does suck to give it my fair play of it. I'm a FPS junkie and can't get enough of them, unless the game is a true suck like some of those lurking fps out there. Remember, the only true verdict is yourself, but opinions can persuade your decision on games.

Judging by the demo I wouldn't call it terrible, but it ain't no gem either... with all the delays I expected it to be at least a bit better.

Like someone said before, maybe the co-op will give some edge to the game, it just seems too average.

Maybe just a bad demo?

The demo is old code

Just a mediocre FPS at the end of the day
