Mozilla Firefox 3.0 RC1

Recommended Posts

There's little need for Session Manager anymore.

Anyway to save the currently opened tabs when I exit Firefox 3.0 RC1?

With 2.0, I shut my computer down without closing FF and then was able to reopen FF with the tabs when I restart the computer.

With 3.0 Beta 5, I had to click file, exit, then save before I shut down my computer.

Trying that same procedure in 3.0 RC1 doesn't not prompt me to save, nor does it save any of my open tabs.

Does

History -> Restore from last session...

fulfill your needs?

how about:

Options -> Main -> When Firefox Starts: -> Show my windows and tabs from last time

?

I'll check it out thanks.

I like Forecastbar enchanced 0.96: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1978

Thanks, I switched to that one after trying a couple others.

Saw that but it does nothing currently in FF 3.0 RC1.

It works perfectly for me.

Firefox 3 RC1 is miles better for me, bigger back button and smaller forward button is nice, i like the refresh/go button is 1 now, the history drop down menu takes about 1sec to open now instead of about 10secs which was LUDICROUS, you can now pause your downloads which was badly needed, just soooo many things that are better, especially scrolling your tabs before it lagged badly.

Firefox 3 is a LEAP ahead of firefox 2. I havent experienced a single problem with RC1 either which im very happy about. Hopefully 3.5 might add full acid test 3 compatibility.

Here's the update, firstly I figured out why the basic "show windows and tabs open from the last session" wasn't working. I normally close out of FF by right clicking it on the taskbar and clicking close. When I would go to reopen FF the tabs would not appear. Simply by clicking the X in the top right to close FF, makes the tabs reappear when I open FF again.

I think I am going to continue with the new profile I made as well. For some reason, my old profile also had some other issues as well.

Thanks for all the help guys!
