@boday: I thought about making a Crimson Red version. Also, my brother showed me a mobile phone that had nice colors but it's hard to find complementing colors for the controls. If I'm going to make more colors they'll be made after all the application skins that I'm going to make.

I think the orange controls would still fit pretty well, though you'd probably have to adjust the hue a bit. It would be pretty neat to see if you were to pull off a red version. Red can be tricky if you don't want people to go blind. Look at this color.

Also, regarding the silver version and hard to read fonts... for people modding the theme, I would suggest adding a drop shadow. That way you can keep the white text and have it look like cap wanted, and still be able to read w/o it being such a drastic change as white --> black.

TextShadowOffset = 1,1
TextShadowColor = 0 0 0
TextShadowType = Single [or substitute Continuous]

Single: a simple shadow in the shape of whatever the letters are.
Continuous: a fuzzy glow around the letters.

I was thinking about a nicer color of red ;) I shade of red which is a bit brighter and not to saturated. Maybe a bit like the red that the shutdown button as in Watercolor Emico: Silver.

Also, the only problem was the clock text right? The clock text already has a shadow behind it. You can easily make that shadow a bit darker. Adding shadow to the taskbar button text isn't nice at all IMO.

Aww man.. the more I'm working on Blue SE the more I want to finish it before Watercolor Emico: Olive.

What are you waiting for then :p ?

Scirwode

I'm SO glad i still use XP on my work computer :D

Black Modern is just so....I'm in loss of words :D

I just wish someone would make this theme for vista, so i could i apply it to ALL my computers....

wonder how it would look, running native under aero :)

If anyone knows of a port...please PM me :D

I'll release Olive before Blue SE then.

I'm not going to post teasers from Blue SE. You might even call it Blue Secret Edition. This version is going to be the version that I wanted to make from the beginning. Since I didn't have the Photoshop skills back then I couldn't. It'll also have a different name, but it'll still be Watercolor Emico.

Blue SE is totally different then the Olive version so I think it's better to release the Olive version before Blue SE. But Blue SE is a lot more fun to work on for me. Olive is just simple recolor, Blue SE isn't. So I think it's best to finish the first pack off.

Capric0rn, if the SE is totally different from Watercolor Emico Blue, are you planning of making a black version of it?

Blue SE has just been turned into a Personal Mod by me.

Blue SE will be release but with a different frame color that I had in mind. Watercolor Emico: Olive is going to have a slight delay this time.

Now that was weird - I saw the unedited post, quoted it and the edited post turned up :p

Why these fast changes of mind?

Let's just say I changed it for the sake of a different popular theme :p It'll still be blue though but not the same blue as the current version has. And expect a lot more changes. One thing to not expect is this version to be released as fast as the other versions :p

The reason why Olive is having a delay is because I'm bored of working on it. Blue SE is more fun for me to work on because of the new things.

    • Apple are scared of their customers! They have built a brand over the years of "it just works out of the box", but that slows innovation. Samsung's master stroke was the Galaxy Ultra: "Let's cram everything into one handset, make it so stupid only real nerds will love it, some of the features will work, some won't, but the audience will have such a high tolerance they won't care". Apple has no such device and so they are constantly worrying these days about the fallout of creating a new experience that customers might not like. I know it is often cited the reason they don't build a touchscreen Mac Book is they don't want to cannibalise the the iPad market, but I think it's equally cold feet after the criticism Microsoft receive trying to make a touch compatible desktop OS

    • So, an article that has nothing to do with Windows 11, still gets Windows 11 in the title and a build number as the picture? Dell have a buggy build of Support Assist HP have UEFI settings that need unlocking for the secureboot cert upgrade to take place.
    • What I can't seem to understand is that Google are paying SpaceX? Surely it would be the other way round, with SpaceX needing Google's datacenters etc.? Oh well, this level of money and power is way outside of my comprehension at the best of times.
