If I wanted to use the Windows flag for Emico then I would. Like I already said, I want Emico Blue SE to have it's own logo to suit the theme. The Windows flag is being used in lots of themes already. Also, the Watercolor flag is the same flag that Windows 2000 has which looks ugly.

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to have some opinions on this start button:

And yes, it's a Windows logo. It doesn't mean that I don't want to use an original logo. I first want opinions about the current one because I kinda like it :) This would be the hover state for the new start button (if it's going to be used).

Very nice looking shade of blue. I'd prefer just the logo without any label or borders, myself. Will this new Start button be for just the new blue version, or for all of them?

I love this theme, been using it for a while now :)

I love it!

@Yochanan: In case you didn't know, this is for Blue SE. There aren't going to be more color variations of this version. Using just the logo will look to plain in the taskbar. I tried it with the start button that's in the current versions and I constantly felt there was something missing.

IF I'm going to use this button there will be only 1 variation of it. Which is icon + text + borders. Removing all this will make it look like the alternative start button from LE 3.

@SoapyHamHock: You haven't seen the start menu yet ;)

@Spartan Erik: What do you mean "other than the golden yellow" (which is actually orange)? It's not possible to use other colors in the taskbar. The new resize bar is green so using the same green on the start button won't look good. It's either the Orange sides or no sides at all. And removing the sides is not an option so they will stay. The normal state has blue sides.

Thanks guys :)

I noticed that I'm not even keeping my own promises :p I previously said that I wouldn't show of new buttons etc but yet I did. So therefore the start button is the last teaser that I'm giving.

Excellent

I personally like the "Start" text, though "Menu" would work well too.

Thanks guys :)

Yes, you still haven't released the shellstyles even though you said it a few weeks ago   !

On topic though, I quite like the Start button but is it only for Blue SE or for all the previous themes? Because I can't see how the gold border can fit into the other themes, especially Olive.

Scirwode

I've never given a release date for the shellstyles :p The only one that's currently release-worthy is the blue one.

Blue SE isn't an updated version from the current Blue version, it's still getting a new name. The stuff in Blue SE is for Blue SE only and will not be made for the previous themes. The previous themes are considered finished once the shellstyles are ready to be released.

I'm sure that not everyone will like Blue SE because lot's of stuff is totally different then the previous versions.
