It was Man Utd's biggest loss at Old Trafford for 17 years, and it came against their biggest rivals.

Are you gutted ?

after the third goal, 630 AM, i was yelling, couldn't keep my composure anymore. woke up mom and brother... dad was walking out the room (HUGE MANC!!!). Great great start to the day!

First i was confused why gerrard didn't take it, but then that thought quickly vanished...

 WHO THE **** IS MAN UNITED!?!?!

Vidic sent off with a red I was like yes thank you god and then the free kick was a beauty for a goal!!! Could it get any better yes yes it did Dosennas goal omg life is great hopefully we can keep it up and someone will beat Man United aswell

I great team never lost twice. We are a great team, and yesterday we just stumble. It hurts, god yes it really hurts, but we are strong enough and showed much more regularity trough the season than Liverpool. I'm not woried for the games to come.

Well done Chelsea today, should of been a lot more goals for you guys. Did you notice Ballack? Seems like hes having a tough time keeping up to the pace of the play. Anyways good job and the Title race is in full effect. I'm watching the Aston Villa game right now Spurs in the lead 0-2 they are playing very well away from home.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!))

What a great 6 days its turned out to be!! :D

Back in fourth and staying there! and hopefully moving up a spot :p especially with our injured guns returning :)

oh and great game Spurs.. and thanks ;)

Bring on Hull! :p Bring on the ECL draw..

btw talking abt that table that mail posted here yesterday.. I noticed one thing above all others.. Liverpool lost the least games.. the problem is too many draws..

So what's the news on Rafa staying on? Word is that he's off to Madrid!

Wouldn't be surprised if Ballack ends up in Italy after next year when his contract is up. He has stated he wants to stay but I doubt it... They just play a much more slower and defensive game in the Serie A compared to the PL, BL and La Liga. It's where old players go to die :).

One of the longest-running disputes in English football ended this morning when West Ham United agreed to pay Sheffield United up to ?25 million to draw a line under the Carlos Tevez affair.

In a statement the clubs said that they had reached an out-of-court settlement and agreed that it was time to move on and bring the matter to a close.

The agreement means today?s meeting of the independent tribunal, chaired by Lord Griffiths, that was due to rule on how much compensation Sheffield United should receive from their Barclays Premier League rivals has been cancelled.

In a joint statement, Scott Duxbury, the West Ham chief executive officer, and Kevin McCabe, the Sheffield United chairman, said: "Both clubs are pleased to announce that a satisfactory settlement for compensation has been reached which brings the dispute between Sheffield United and West Ham United to an end. The tribunal will not be resuming."

?25M for Tevez.. Seems reasonable.. no?

"This will really hurt their players, because we are their big rivals," Gerrard is quoted as saying by Setanta with regard to Saturday's result.

"I have lost here [at Old Trafford] a few times and I know it hurts badly in the games that come after.

"This will give us a huge confidence boost and, hopefully, have an effect on them. There is still a big job to do, though, and a lot of work ahead.

"They are a magnificent team with match-winners all over the place. But we now have to make sure we stay on their tails and hope they slip up.

"I think we can still win the league. It is still tough, there is still a big gap and we are running out of time as there are not many games left.

"But anything is possible, and while it remains possible, we will keep on fighting."

:p

Rafa Benitez has signed a contract extension with Liverpool FC, keeping him at the club until 2014.

The Liverpool manager has extended his current deal, which took him to the end of next season, by a further four years.

"My heart is with Liverpool Football Club, so I'm delighted to sign this new deal," said Rafa. "I love the club, the fans and the city and with a club like this and supporters like this, I could never say no to staying. I always made clear I wanted to be here for a long time and when I complete my new contract it will mean I have spent over a decade in Liverpool.

"The club is greatly respected around the world due to its incredible history and tremendous heritage. It is my aim to uphold those values and help create a new chapter in our history.

"Throughout this process, I would like to thank the owners for their hard work in finalising the deal. All of us at the club want the same thing, which is to be successful by winning major trophies."

The completion of contract talks with Rafa is the third major boost for Liverpool fans in recent days, coming after fabulous wins against Real Madrid in the Champions League and Manchester United in the Premier League. The 4-1 win at Old Trafford saw Rafa achieve 100 league wins in the third fastest period of time for a Liverpool manager, surpassing Bill Shankly.

Liverpool Co-Chairman Tom Hicks said: "It is wonderful news that Rafa has made a long-term commitment to the football club. Since he became manager in 2004, he has been responsible for the great progress we have made. I know he will continue to build on his achievements as he has a tremendous hunger and desire to bring more success to the club - success our fans and everyone connected with the club deserves."

Co-Chairman George Gillett added: "With Rafa continuing to manage the team, we can look forward to more great football and success on the pitch. He has special abilities and qualities which are admired here at the club and around the world. Coming after our excellent wins over Real Madrid and Manchester United, this gives us great momentum going into the final stages of the season."

Rafa joined the Reds in 2004 following a successful period in charge of Spanish club Valencia, who he guided to two La Liga titles and a UEFA Cup success.

While he has been at the helm, Liverpool won the UEFA Champions League in Istanbul in 2005, the FA Cup the following year and reached another Champions League final in Athens in 2007. He has also overseen success in both the UEFA Super Cup and Community Shield.

The club are currently the number one team in Europe according to UEFA's co-efficient ranking system, based on results over the past five years in European competition.

Excellent, excellent news :D

“Almunia could be back,” Wenger told Arsenal TV Online. “He had a good training session today so it looks like he will be available.

“Fabregas and Eduardo have come back into full training today but I think they will be short for Saturday.

“It is the first time back for Cesc. He is physically fit but he needs a few training sessions. So it will be after the international break for him.

“Silvestre is fit and available but Adebayor is not ready yet.”

I hope they don't play Silvestre :s

Spurs 5 points of UEFA....

It is a crazy league this year don't you think? There are so few points between relegation and a European place that is shaping up to be a cracking end to the season.

Hopefully Liverpool can narrow the gap at the top so it is an exciting table and finish at both ends.

Hope so too.. coz the battle at the bottom is way interesting than at the top.. New Castle can go and so can Portsmouth and everyone from number 6 down!!

"Cesc should be fit in two weeks," confirmed Ars?ne Wenger at his pre-match press conference.

"He is back in full training now and during the international break he has two weeks to sharpen up. Normally, he should be available again against Manchester City."

An assault charge against England and Liverpool footballer Steven Gerrard has been dropped.

The 28-year-old still faces a charge of affray in connection with an incident at a nightclub in Southport. Six other men face the same charge.

Mr Gerrard had been in the Lounge Inn after a 5-1 win over Newcastle United when a disturbance broke out.

A 34-year-old man had suffered facial injuries in the incident in December, North Sefton magistrates were told.

Mr Gerrard was not required to make a formal plea in relation to the affray charge which he now faces.

The footballer, and six other defendants, will have a plea and case management hearing at Liverpool Crown Court on 3 April.

Charges dropped

Nick Evans, prosecuting, told the court that after a "review of the evidence in full" it was decided that all seven defendants should only face affray charges.

Assault charges were also dropped against John Doran, 29, of Woodlands Road, and Ian Smith, 19, of Hilary Avenue, both Huyton, Merseyside.

Appearing alongside Mr Gerrard on Friday were Accrington Stanley players Ian Dunbavin, 28, of Guildford Road, Southport, and midfielder Robert Grant, 18, of Enstone Avenue, Litherland.

Also in the dock were John McGrattan, 33, of Rimmer Avenue, and Paul McGrattan, 31, of Linden Drive, both Huyton.

Mr Gerrard was arrested along with a number of other men outside the venue after the disturbance on 29 December last year.

The father-of-two was escorted out of the court building by members of his legal team after the short hearing and driven away in a black car.

    • Any decent ITSM will A) have a web form that allows a user to raise a ticket, if you're writing an email you can write a ticket. B) Monitor a mailbox and auto-generate tickets based on inbound mails for those users that really can't get their heads around the concept that if you have an issue you go to support.mycompany.com and fill in the box. From your description you're having users email the desk, and then having a human read each one and manually raise a ticket on behalf of the user.

    • Fixing things? Have you ever tried linux? Everything works out of the box nowadays in most common hardware. This includes Wifi and Bluetooth. If anything, if they return back to windows is because they haven't found an equivalent program which often used on windows.
