Things Valve claims they fixed, but not really:

Civilian Engie (see my video above)

Mini level 2/3 sentries. They are still quite possible, here's how...

1. Open up PDA and select sentry, but don't build yet

2. Switch load out to Gunslinger, touch supply cabinet

3. Build, Upgrade to level 3

4. Pick it up, and place where you would like

5. ???

6. PROFIT!

That still works? I didn't even bother trying after they said it was fixed. :p

is the gunslinger a random drop or you have to do something to get it?

You get each new weapon when you complete a certain amount of achievements and reach the appropriate milestone.

They've made it much easier to unlock the weapons with each update too, so it doesn't take long. I've unlocked everything but the Wrangler and I've only been playing casually (no achievement farming) since the update was released.

Mini sentries are awesome. Fast rate of fire, and despite their inability to be repaired they're quick to rebuild and spam everywhere. :D

The following videos are linked in TF2's news feed in Steam, but here they are again - just freaking amazing.

 at this one:

and the most amazing one for last:

(the demoman one sucked in my opinion)

Yep, this works perfectly. People don't like it when you drop a level 3 mini-sentry down on a choke point.

Especially if you have The Wrangler.

I managed to get the third Milestone achievement by taunt-killing an unaware sniper by bashing his head in with the guitar. I've never had a more satisfying taunt-kill

You might find this video a bit hilarious then  Specifically the last kill!

I need 2 more achievements for Milestone 2. I've already got the Wrangler through random drops :p

Haha, priceless XD I've already managed to get the new Engineer items. Melee kills are the hardest if you ask me :p

I just assumed it was for a new bunch of misc items, but it does make sense to allow you to equip 2 different misc ones (Like the medic mask and the badge)

I thought that too, but when I thought more about it I figured they'd want you to be able to equip your badges/medals as well as any other misc item, such as the medic mask or spy beard. Plus I don't really expect an influx of new misc items before all the other stuff they have planned (like the modding update).

a little, but I'm still trying to tweak it to run well. TF2 just runs like utter crap on my system, where I get like 20- fps on the move, but if I die and it freeze frames someone, it shoots up to 300+ lol. Going to test horrible dx8 settings tonight to see if it will be playable.

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
    • MSN defined our generation in some ways, kind of like Snapchat and TikTok have done for future generations. I have great memories of the MSN era in the late 90s / early 2000s. In the UK everyone seemed to come home from School and go on MSN for the evening. We didn't really have mobile phones then, so other than going and knocking on your friends door it was a totally new way of interacting with people. I also loved how I could talk to people I’d met playing online games from around the world. Inviting people to NetMeeting and messing about with the shared white board and webcams was pretty fun, even if webcams only ran at a couple of fps over dial-up. All the random things you could do with MsgPlus! were really fun - I suspect that made a few people jump with /shello randomly blasting Mr Hankey out their speakers! Maybe I’m just nostalgic, however I do feel the internet and computers were more fun back then.
