Yeah, they're annoying. People who join servers, sit in spectate, and randomly initiate trades with you, or spam the chat box.

I've seen trade-only maps pop up (trade_convention for instance).

On my server all trade messages are required to be tagged /trade , and you can turn them off.

This coming Tuesday November 9th, 2010 the TF2 item system will be down for maintenance starting at 1pm PST and ending at approximately 2:30PST.
