Killzone 2

And I'm the one who posts irony?

You're definitely not the brightest crayon in the box dude.

Anyways, hands on sounds good. Looking forwarding to seeing their review score.

How is what I posted ironic in the slightest? I don't like Eurogamer. This opinion has nothing to do with this hands on review, it goes back to poor reviews they have conducted in the past.

I posted this simply because it's on topic and provides another look at the game.

No need at all to start name calling is there?

Ouch

It's from the pre-alpha build instead of review, but it has that Sony dev guy (cant remember his name) walking you through it which is quite cool (Y)

They are leaving it a bit to be finalizing dates aren't they? Can't remember the last time we didn't know the date this close to launch.

Wouldn't complain with the 6th though :p

Definitely not, as long as it is all working great and they have fixed bugs/glitches/possible online problems (which I would assume the beta helped with) then I say give it to us!

Can't wait. :D

It has been rumoured plenty of times that we would be getting it early here in the EU, but I didn't know the rumours were of up to like 3 weeks early.

And ty the not going wild and making an official topic already, make it on the week of release, whenever it is confirmed, that way we will only get a few pages of general talking and then the game should be out so we can talk about the game itself, and say start talking about the game 30 pages in. :p

Chit-chat doing the rounds is Sony announced the 28th as the release date and now that everyone is trying to counter the KZ2 release with other releases (I believe Halo Wars hits 27th, and SF4 is also there, or around), Guerilla are going to pull the date back at the last minute

Some conspiracy theory, but I'll be damned if I care, the sooner the better (Y)

However I think it might just be us Europeans getting it early, unlucky America ;)

No early release for us :(

Killzone 2 gets firm Euro release date

Sony has just announced that the Guerilla Shooter, Killzone 2 will release on February 25th in Europe which is two days before it will be released in the US.

Up until now, the Euro date has been somewhat a mystery with Sony only saying a release would be in the same ?time-frame as the US, so to learn the Europe will be getting the game earlier, is somewhat of a surprise.

However, it?s worth noting that games in Europe come out on a Wednesday, so expect a UK release on Friday 27.

Anyway, all?s well that ends well.

Well LBP released on a Wednesday, but that was down to the delay more than anything..I think it was originally planned to release on a Thursday?

Think it was down to the delay, as it was suppose to come out on a Friday 24th, Tomb Raider Underworld was Friday as was the new Prince of Persia.

And I'm sure many more, though I have noticed from looking at some release dates that the UK has sometimes been a day or 2 behind the EU release to be released on a Friday, how very odd.

Not that this has anything to do with Killzone, I was just being nit picky, lol.

Oh yeah not arguing games don't come out on friday, about 98% of the time they do.

There is exceptions though. Halo 3 came out on a Wedneday too. It happens a lot when they try to do a world wide launch (or at least in the west), so US gets it on the Tuesday as usual and we're in the future on Wednesday :p

It would be nice if they were all global released on the same day, and maybe its me, but a Friday is the best day so you get the week end to play it.

Plus it means people can't post about it beforehand, lol.

That and I only have an hours lesson in Uni, so when I have bought a game I could go home to play it. :D

Zomg Edit!

Here's some Irony for you.

Retailers say Killzone 2 hits UK on February 27th

Sometimes when Sony refuses to comment on something, there are others who will be happy to do so. In the case of release dates, retailers are the best people to turn to and, as Eurogamer have found out, tend to know when high profile games are likely to be released. Like Killzone 2 hitting the UK on February 27th, two days after certain other European territories. It's unconfirmed by SCEE, but these are the dates certain retailers have been "advised to expect" the launch.

This falls in line with the American release date, which is also February 27th. A demo is also expected to hit sometime before the game launches.

Guess what, its a Friday, lols.

    • RevPDF 4.5.0 by Razvan Serea RevPDF is a free, fully offline PDF editor for Windows, macOS, and Linux that lets you edit text and images directly inside PDF files — no internet connection, no account, and no cloud uploads required. Unlike bloated alternatives that demand subscriptions and constant connectivity, RevPDF fits in under 60MB on desktop while delivering a complete editing toolkit: annotate, redact, sign, compress, split, merge, convert, and reorganize pages, all processed locally on your device. Smart font matching ensures edited text blends seamlessly with the original, and multi-language support includes RTL scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew. Where most PDF editors force you to choose between features and simplicity, RevPDF manages both. You can build interactive forms from scratch with text fields, checkboxes, and dropdowns, permanently redact sensitive data before sharing, draw freehand on contracts and diagrams, and add custom watermarks — all without a single file leaving your machine. Edit Text and Images Directly Inside PDFs RevPDF supports true inline PDF editing — not just annotation layers on top of a document, but actual modification of existing text and images within the file. A smart font-matching engine identifies the font used in the original document and applies it automatically when you make edits, so changes blend naturally with the surrounding content. You can reposition elements, resize images, and update text across single pages or entire documents. RevPDF 4.5.0 release notes: This is one of the biggest updates to RevPDF yet. A lot of things people have been asking for are finally here. New Features Auto Redaction Permanently redact sensitive text and areas from your PDFs before sharing. Clean, irreversible, and fully offline. Comments, Links & Bookmarks Add comments for review, insert clickable links, and create bookmarks to jump around long documents without scrolling forever. Find & Replace Search across the whole document and replace text in one go. Long overdue. Split Pages Vertically or Horizontally Split any page down the middle, vertically or horizontally. Perfect for scanned books or double-page spreads. New Drawing Tools More tools for freehand drawing and markup, better for annotations, sketches, and detailed notes. Continuous Scrolling in Editor The editor now scrolls continuously through pages instead of jumping between them. Working through long documents is a lot smoother now. PDF Metadata Editor View and edit the metadata stored inside your PDFs, including title, author, subject, and keywords. Better Font Matching Text edits now blend in more naturally by doing a better job of matching the original font. Tabbed PDF Viewer Open multiple PDFs at once in tabs and switch between them without going back to the home screen. Add Links Insert hyperlinks anywhere in your PDF, to external URLs or to other pages within the document. Share & Print Shortcuts Share or print directly from the editing screen, home screen, and viewer. No extra steps. Minor Updates Paste images directly from clipboard into your PDF New image editing tools for more control over images inside documents Bug Fixes Fixed file saving issues on Windows and Linux Everything still works fully offline. No login, no cloud, no account. Your files stay on your device.
