LBP has gone gold!

Its Official! - LittleBigPlanet on shelves 10/21/08!

For those of you who’ve pre-ordered and are anxiously waiting, we’ve received great news from Media Molecule - the game code has gone ‘GOLD’ and we’ve started manufacturing the PS3 cases, manuals and most importantly Blu-ray discs. Meaning, LittleBigPlanet will hit stores in North & Latin America on October 21 (With Europe releasing the same week). But trust us, you’ll want to be there with us during the first week. Why you ask?

During the first week only, to celebrate “Launch”, LBP fans everywhere will be able to download a FREE, Limited Edition Spacesuit costume for your SackBoy on the PLAYSTATION Store. (Get it…Launch…Spacesuit…o never mind)

In addition to the freebie, there will also be a rare “I was there Week One” T-Shirt available - to prove that you were… well… “there Week One.”

Now for those of you that haven’t pre-ordered, we would hate to think you went to the store and saw the dreadful “Sold Out” sign and missed out on the FREE download. So, if you want your spacesuit, you’re best bet is to guarantee your copy by heading to your nearest participating retailer and pre-ordering your copy. Besides…you’ll get additional pre-order goodies for FREE too.

***

In addition to the “gold” news, check out our LBP News Site for the official release for the final word on LittleBigPlanet’s features and how Media Molecule is still hard at work, to continually build the online community with new features to make your online experience an ever-evolving one.

See you there.

Shopto - ?36.99

I have a ?2 voucher as well so ?35 (Eurogamer gave them out months ago)

Ah right, so no Kratos DLC the:p :p

I'm tempted just to pay a bit extra for it.

But I dunno...

Ah right, so no Kratos DLC then? :p

I'm tempted just to pay a bit extra for it.

But I dunno...

You can get Kratos with the next issue of OPM (Sept 30th) remember. That's what I plan to do anyways. I want Nariko as well but not paying extra at Play just for that.

FYI, I just posted a new ?5 voucher for Game.co.uk, so you can get it for ?35 also. I'm gonna cancel my Shopto order and save the ?2 for something else. I'd may as well when I have ?5 vouchers at the dispo:pl :p

Ahhh yeah I meant Nariko!

I forgot Kratos was coming with OPM. It has the first review as well, but I think we know it'll end up being 9/10 any:py :p Or maybe 10, but probably 9 I'm thinking.

In the 360 deals topic I guess? I'll go look!

I'm actually hoping for an ebay repeat of M:laugh:ugh: Get the Australian LBP a week early!

^^ Ignore that

You can get LBP for ?35 at Play with this voucher:VTWMDLHGPQ>. *Single use only*

Thank you and goodday to you Play:DD

Two unlocks and free DLC for me:punk::

Awesome:DD

Where did you get the code? :shifty::

The only thing that annoys me about Play is their delivery. Times I've pre-ordered there before, the game hasn't come for release:((

I'd explode if LBP didn't come on day 1!

I jumped the gun, it's for orders ?50 or over only:((. And yeah I had the same concerns when I found the voucher. I get it cheaper but might not receive it day one. Also they didn't have enough codes for preorders of Battlefield and were hopeless apparently to get customer support from.

Ah well, Kratos and free DLC for ?35 is still amazin(Y)Y)

I'll post back here if I find it cheaper.

    • Given only Volume license customers and specific resellers can obtain the LTSC versions legitimately it seems likely that this has been tinkered with quite a lot!
    • Apple CEO Tim Cook confirms looming price hikes due to memory shortages by Hamid Ganji Image via Apple Memory and chip shortages have led to significant price increases for electronics over the past year, and it seems that more hikes are on the way for upcoming smartphones and computers. Apple CEO Tim Cook has confirmed that the company is planning to increase the prices of some of its products due to the ongoing memory and storage shortages. In an interview with The Wall Street Journal, Cook confirmed the looming price hikes for Apple’s future products, adding that “Unfortunately, price increases are unavoidable.” He also said the company is doing its best to “mitigate the huge increases that are being passed to us, and we’ve been trying to shield our customers from the increases, but the situation has become unsustainable.” The Apple CEO also noted that the allocation of a large portion of memory chips to AI companies has contributed to shortages in the market, resulting in lower supply at a time when demand for devices remains high. “We definitely need memory pricing and supply to return to reasonable levels for consumer products. That’s the bottom line,” Cook said. Cook also added that Apple is ready to use its vast cash reserves to help boost supply in the market because additional production capacity is needed. While he declined to specify how Apple plans to do that, he said the company will not build its own memory and storage factories despite its financial resources and silicon expertise. Cook did not provide further details on the scale of the price increases or which Apple products would be affected, though iPads and Macs could see higher prices sooner than other products. Apple’s next product launch event is scheduled for September, when the company is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and its first foldable iPhone. It remains unclear whether the upcoming iPhones will be affected by the price increases, but given the current memory shortage, higher prices seem increasingly likely. There is currently no clear timeline for the end of the memory shortage. Samsung, one of the world’s three largest memory chip manufacturers, recently said the shortage could persist for several more years.
    • Downloads does not equal actual usage, even less when the app is pre-installed in some Galaxy phones.
    • +1000 to this, don't understand why they added that margin around the top bar, even the close button is a PITA to click without aiming. Ofc, this is just preview and hopefully they will revert such odd UX decision before hitting final version.
