[Cancelled] Caprica (Season 1)

What I don't get is why she's doesn't want people to know she's in the cylon? Also, I think this was explained in the first episode that I saw ages ago but what is difference between the real zoe and this virtual one that graystone got from that virtual world place....

You answer your own question, the difference is she is a copy, digital copy.

So she's evil? Is she staying hidden so that she can do monotheist terrorist stuff?

Where do you get evil from? She's an exact copy (more to it then that, but basically). If you are referring to the bomb and the soldiers of the one, well she didn't know, or didn't believe they were evil/bad.

We loved the second week of the Battlestar Galactica prequel, but viewers didn't. Only about 1.4 million viewers watched it on Friday night, down from 1.6 million the first week. (For an episode that wasn't available on DVD beforehand.)

Yea that does not sound good. I think networks should start taking in a count all the downloads from torrents and usenet, then ratings might be more correct. I know it's not really useful to them, but still.

Yet, I bet the third episode will be more then 1.6.

Esai Morales says the season finale script left him sobbing. And Joseph Adama and Daniel Graystone may have to set aside their differences at some point and work together. Also, there's an upcoming episode called "Adamarama" (really!) that goes into the relationship between Joseph and Sam, and the actors who play the two brothers as little kids are fantastic. Does this show have the best CG effects ever, or is it just me ? Tthe station scene with the balloons going up in the air was amazing !

yeah it really does, alot of the scenes from the last episode were amazing!

I'm loving this so far. I just hope they don't end up rushing it like I felt they did in BSG season 4. Also, I hope they take into account people downloading Caprica when looking at their ratings. They do have an audience that is dedicated thus far and to cut it off after a season or two like the networks have with so many good shows would be a crime. Please let it run it's course!

loved this weeks! show is going in a real cool direction!

anyone recognise the BSG actress!

I actually didn't recognise her at all, obviously wasn't paying enough attention.

However, did anyone else notice Dr Janet Frasier from Stargate SG-1?

I tried to upload an image but it says I'm not allowed to, which seems really stupid.

Yeah I did notice her! :shiftyninja:

I only knew it was her because I remember watching a podcast where she said she was pleased to be in Caprica after being in BSG

    • If you don't care to read what I said, then you prove my point. Maybe written media is beyond your attention span. Titles are not summaries my friend.
    • Nobody asked... in fact, I said "I don't care about political leanings"
    • TLDR. Here is a far better title (just a basic example): Windows 11 26H2 to allow disabling Web search results
    • Restore will get my vote, only if to see if things are any different, doubt it though but Labour and Conservatives too out of touch and same thing over and over and over…, Lib Dem who?
    • There is nothing wrong with this title. You have completely missed the plot when it comes to "clickbait." The issue was never that a title tries to entice you to click, that is how titles have worked for over 100 years. The issue is when the title subverts expectations, getting you to click expecting something that isn't there. The classic clickbait example is "Boyfriend caught cheating, what happens next will shock you," then what happened next is the girlfriend was upset...which is probably the least shocking outcome imaginable. If sounds like what you want is for the titles to be a collection of 10-word summaries that you can skim, get the just of the story, and only click if you want more details. That is not, never has been, and never will be what titles are. You can go all the way back to print newspapers during the great depression and see the same thing. The newspaper was locked in a vending machine, all you can see is the headline, you choose to put in 5¢ to buy the paper and read the rest if you want. Those headlines were written in a way to sell the paper, not just to provide a summery. Here are two actual headlines from that time, "Wall Street Lays an Egg," or "Stocks Hit Bottom?" Maybe you'd say something like "it was wrong then and it's still wrong now." Okay, fine opinion to have, but it isn't like Neowin is doing something unjurnalistic, they are just following the age-old standards for written media.
