NBC isn't showing track events live because they want the most viewers possible for it, which is in the primetime hours (late night, which is morning in China -- and most track finals are at night there).

It's bullcrap for the fans who want to see it live, but it's still smart business.

They could have shown the live round 1 200m and 400m events starting at 9:30pm, which included Usain Bolt, and Jeremy Wariner. Or at least shown them on CNBC(HD), Universal(HD), USA(HD), and whatever the other channel they have is.
