[Official] Warhammer Online

No, there isn't keys to give out or invites. The only way to access open beta is being a closed beta/Elder tester, Collector's Edition/ Standard Edition preorders or belonging to FilePlanet's and Founders' Club Exclusive Access. Sort of a misnomer calling it open beta, isn't it?

I have beta tested it and find the game extremely appealing to say the least. There is bugs in the last build, but this is the most polished of any I have seen previously.

Here's a link to one of the major Warhammer forums, take a look around and see if it might be something you are interested in.

They made it clear way back before CE pre-orders started that OB would be open to anyone with internet.

All I can offer is this page:

and the Beta signup page:

https://betacenter.eamythic.com/login.php

Concerning the beta sign-up, I think it is still taking applications, worth a shot and it's free.

Other than that, you could post in the Warhammer forums to get a better answer. I personally wish it was open more, but I'm not running the show.

So, can someone who is already in the beta send a invite/beta key to someone? Are they doing that?

Only testers in game at the moment are Elder. Who are hand selected by Mythic due to their excellent feedback. So In short, not yet :p

With you being in Europe if I manage to find a key I'll throw you a PM but I should have a spare account lying about from a guild member who is moving soon so I'm sure he'd be happy to relinquish that as he has the CE too.

Still no word on being able to patch with the fileplanet client?

I am pretty sure I read on Warhammer Alliance that the Preview Weekend client will be able to be updated to the Open Beta and Head Start clients when appropriate. There is also a grace period of sorts after official release to input your real cd key so that your play time will be uninterrupted.

Is it just me or does this just look like WoW? I've been looking forward to this game for ages but it just seems to have slightly updated graphics. Can anyone in the beta enlighten me in changes, and maybe positives and negatives.

Also I thought Warhammer had machine guns and explosives in it rather than focusing on melee and magic :s

The trailer is very good though.

No they don't, the similarities are there because blizz nicked the IP. But that can't be helped. WAR is much, much darker.

Yeah. :/

I could C&P the patch notes but it would help if you told us what you want information on!

All of the classes are C&P from the lore (xpt the Zealot which was constructed for WAR).

haha, sorry, for some reason I remembered WoW being better graphics than that  Thanks for the comparison image.

Well I shall have a nose around the site and forums, it does look promising but I don't think I will get it since I'm busy with college atm :(

So, I used a Proxy to get a hold of a US/AUS/NZ key from Fileplanet last week and downloaded the client.

Now I got one of these keys as well, which points me to download the same client and register at the same website.

Well there be two different regions for the Open Beta or can I join European servers with my US key account?

Fileplanet download for the client sucks, waiting in line and slow download.

Anyone got a link to a faster download?

I wasn't aware fileplanet had an EU link to the client. :/

Correct, there will be US and EU betas at the same time.

No you can't join the EU servers with a US account, hell you can't even enter a US key on the EU website.

    • Well I've done a grand total of nothing, and it now clocks between 2010mhz and 1995mhz (stock is 1710mhz) and hovers around 80c, warmer than it used to, but tolerable clocks seem to have returned. Thanks for all the advice on this thread. Will review the evidence and make a choice.

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
