Lost - Season 5

As for next ep I still think the plane crashed 2008/9

Yeah, I'm going retract what I said about "ALL" of them being in 1970s above. I need to watch the preview again to make sure Ben wasn't with Juliet or Sawyer.

Lapidus, Ben, Sun, Locke are in the normal time line, i.e. the timeline with Richard Alpert and the Others at the Temple. People who were in the flash on the plane are in 1970s, I suppose this is what the Island demands? Jack, Sayid (?), Kate, Hugo.

because juliet and co found airja stuff at the camp, so the ones who were shooting at them on the boats are the Ajira survivors ?

Goes hand in hand with Walt's dream. Locke standing in the water with a suit and people around him want to hurt him. Hopefully this is not what Widmore, Ben, etc. were saying when they said a war is coming. A war with newbies? :/

edit: from that preview, it looks like my theory on the 3 year of Dharma history might be wrong. Though, its only a preview - I'll wait till I see next week's episode before I dismiss it completely.

how many boats were there when sayid, juliet, etc took the boat and got attacked by people on another boat? that day they had found an ajira-branded bottle, and now this girl says that there were 3 boats but one of them was taken by the pilot and someone else?

I really liked this episode. Im confused but I liked it!

HOLY HELL! Why didn't I see that coming?

Jin being alive apparently changes everything Ben first thought.

Jin being alive probably gives ben a way to bring sun back as well (locke wasnt going to do it anyway), and him knowing about eloise meant to ben that jacob was involved somehow so he killed john this time, just like he tried to kill him before. Remember Ben for some reason always ends up doing what jacob asks john to do.

Ben seems to want to take Lockes place, but fate/destiny keeps trying to fix that.

The ultimate question of the entire show I feel, is what is Locke's ultimate fate/destiny?

Whidmore appears to want locke to fulfill his destiny, whereas Ben wants to be the one who fulfills Locke's part. Is "the war" that is coming Ben vs Whidmore? Which Ben ultimately loses somehow due to the part of Locke? ... Just some random speculation.

Amazing episode! As if he killed Locke!

So who to trust now, Ben or Charles?

Also Christian was meant to appear in this episode...

I don't have a clue who to trust other than Locke. We've seen Locke going through stuff, but we still know very little about Ben and Charles other than their deceiving pasts.

I don't think we can trust either of them. Both of them want back to the island and Locke is the pawn unfortunately. Yet, he is clearly the true leader of the Others. I think Charles is right about the war and Locke will lead the Others into battle. I'm just not sure who he will be fighting, Ben or Charles? Or both? Would the Others even fight against Ben? Or will they listen to Richard, who clearly thinks Ben has been leading them down the wrong path, and go with Locke?

So many questions lol

Hmm.. i don't remember.

We did indeed.

Claire's in season 1 and Ben's in season 3

Hurmoth - Completely agree with you there. Locke is being used from right to left, he doesn't know what to do because he can't trust any of them.

I feel sorry for Locke as he was hanging himself, he's gone through so much shi- throughout his life.

Can I just get something straight about the events though. The people on the original flight 815 was not in the spotlight for anyone prior to the crash right? The came down from the skies unexpectedly, and the only explanation of the events on Lost is simply "fate"?

He did at the beginning, we started the episode from when Locke turned the wheel and he was there thus he was in the show.

But that was old footage wasn't it? Happened in "316"

    • Nice, hope they *finally* fixed the issue with the NTFS driver where the system would completely brick during large file copies using the built in driver. It's been broken for years requiring me to use the older, slower, NTFS-3G FUSE driver.
    • Windows 11 KB5094126 BSODing, freezing, forcing BitLocker lockout, breaks OneDrive, and more by Sayan Sen Microsoft released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 last week as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. While Microsoft has so far not acknowledged any major problems with the release, some users online are running into problems. These range from OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. The most common one seems to be happening with HP systems wherein affected users say they hit 0xc0430001 BSOD (blue screen of death) error code after the KB5094126 update. We wonder if this could be related to the recent bug we covered on HP devices wherein the ongoing Secure Boot certificate updates are leading to similar issues. While we are not certain, users affected by this issue likely need to ensure that the boot.stl file is included on the installation media (such as a USB installer or ISO), if the above-mentioned dynamic updates are deployed. If this file is missing, computers may fail to boot from the installation media and could display the error 0xc0430001. This STL file is used by Secure Boot to verify that the boot files are trusted, so it must match the same Windows version and system architecture. To ensure the file is included, Microsoft recommends using the Update WinPE script, which automatically updates the image and handles the required files. Alternatively, you can manually copy the boot.stl file from the Windows\Boot\EFI folder on a Windows device and place it in the matching folder on your installation media before deploying the updated image. Aside from blue screening some users also note their systems have been freezing following the update. This could be happening to Lenovo PCs specifically. In the case of the OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, a user figured out that there could be a conflict with UAC. He explained: "Okay, so I did some digging, and in our environment KB5094126 breaks OneDrive and Dropbox in Explorer. I went through all our GPOs and found out that the combination of disabling UAC and having my user being a local admin breaks OneDrive in Explorer. ... If I enable UAC again, then it works, even with KB5094126 still installed." Hopefully, Microsoft will look into these issues. • It is when it's a desktop in my house though for a PC that's lightly used and not really important when it is. If it was a laptop, it would be a different story. The real solution is varied and begins starting at post #22 in that thread.
