Lost - Season 5

but how did he make him not age? The produces said that everything in the show could be explained scientifically. No aging? Shape shifting? Also, what ever happened to Michael and walt? Yea they are on the mainland, but is that it? Why did they not have to go back? It's going to be hard to get michael back since he is doing some new dumb cop show.

the nose bleed is a mystery to me because it supposedly had somethign to do with the fact that she had already been on the island. faraday got one also, but he was not on the island long, and the "survivors" were and they had no effects. linus had a bleed as well iirc. why was her's so bad that it killed her?

and they are not only doing de-climatation there, or else faraday would have had no place there as a physicist.

also, how do they "fall" into the desert? another wormhole?

I'd not played the game, but if they are just variables in the equation, how/why do they keep popping up everywhere?

/edit

and fair enough about movies not being 16 hours long. i concede a point on that :)

Did you even see the show? He died in season 4 finale i think, when the freighter exploded......

And about the desert, there are pocket holes everywhere in the world, i think theyre connected somehow, so thats why they showed up in the desert, that was explained by Faradays mom...

They didn't say scientifically, they said it would be explained with psuedo-science, which is pretty much science fiction. Jacob has been around for at least 100 years, doesn't age, lives in a shoe and has a crazy Island travelling cabin and you really expect him stopping Richards age to be explained with hard science? As for Michael and Walt, well Michael is dead as he was blown up last season on the freighter (did you maybe miss last season? lol). Dharma were doing de-climitization at the Hydra station, as we know there were/are plenty of other Dharma stations on the Island where a physicist would be needed, the Orchid for one.

As for the desert exit point, look into Vile Vortices on wikipedia, and check out the map

What i meant was what did they do while they were off island. I was unclear I admit. oh well. just 10 short months then i can get my wednesday nights back :)

I have a feeling we're going to see many more biblical references in the coming season. Jacob throughout the episode is portrayed as a kind, helpful man. If you remember at the beginning of the episode, the character aside Jacob said that if he finds a way to kill him, he will. Could that man have taken the form of Locke (believe someone touched on this)? Also, Ben is livid that all these years of following Jacob's wishes and Richard never taking him to see him. My take on this is that Ben is the only one that is able to kill Jacob, hence the reason Richard never brought him to the statue. I believe Ben is actually the important one, not Locke. All these years he's felt insignificant but I feel that in the final season, Ben's true purpose will be revealed and it will be much more important than he ever imagined. I also believe that you can obviously parallel Jacob with Jesus, possibly Richard with Moses... Now, if Richard in fact knew that Ben was the only one who could kill Jacob, why would he let him into see him? Maybe because Jacob explained his purpose to Richard and told him that he would sacrifice himself...? I think the creators did a fairly good job of answering some questions and get us thinking some more, which makes me extremely eager to see the final season in 2010. Last thought, thinking what Miles said at the end of the episode is the truth...that them blowing up the bomb was actually what caused this all in the first place. Amazing show.

thats anubis for sure!

No actually its Taweret.....notice how the mouth is wide and rounded , the ears (though pointed) are short and close to the head and there appears to be a hat of some sort on the top of the head. If it were anubis the ears would be MUCH longer and the snout would be much thinner compared to the rest of the head.

No, it's Sobek. He's even carrying the ankh.
