Is it just me or do the gates look smaller now?

and wtf was that thing that came off the ship?

Yes they look smaller, noticed that to, they are older gates afterall

this was posted on another forum, thought it fit about the ship flying off at the end, thought it was funny cause it will prob happen.

Anyway, the ship flying off shows they're not alone on the ship and someone else knows what they're doing/how to use stuff. I bet that person will help them fix the power and show them basic repairs, but not after a long cat & mouse game of trying to capture them. Insert the "outsider" who will later be added to the team that goes off on missions...

The gates are newer, not older. That wouldn't make any sense.

How do you figure? These stargates should be older than the ones in the milky way and peagus galaxies. Definately the peagus at least since they don't rotate while these gates do. Dr. Rush said he believed that the Ancients sent seed ships ahead of this ship, since this ship is a few hundred thousand years old that would imply the gates along the ships path being older than the ship itself.

Overall i thought the episode was pretty boring. The only thing it did was confirm to me at least that somebody was watching them in the last episode. On a side note, I hope that solider and scientist that were trapped together on that planet have alot of "fun" :hump: since they are going to be there forever lol.

That makes sense. That's the format they've followed in previous Stargate series.

I'll keep watching because they seem to want to actually develop characters over time but I haven't seen anything I didn't expect yet. Just finished watching episode 3 and I'm not sure what I really took away from it except for the last 5 seconds of the show.

One problem, did they address what happened to the women and the soldier who went through the gate to the locked out planet? If they did I must of missed it somehow.

No. Eli tried to contact them using the radio but got no response. It's reasonable to assume they're now stranded on that planet.

probably dead from toxic atmosphere.

they said the planet had vegatation and what not before they went, so i would assume they have a good atmosphere, just probably not food or what they need to last for very long. I'll be glad when the flashback nonsense stop and they can get to a proper form of storytelling.

Vegetation does not equal breathable human atmosphere.

There are creatures living next to volcanic vents on the bottom of our own ocean, who don't even require sunlight but to an alternative form of photosynthesis from the hot gases.

though it's probably more likely that they'll be taken over by some form of symbiotic creature that will either take over their bodies or transform them. and then they'll become allies/enemies depending on mood with the people on the ship. seems to be the usual way things work out in the Stargate shows. and so far it's following a familier script we've already seen in the previous shows.

how many times can you really do the same show with minor script changes and different locations.

Their wormhole passed through a spatial anomaly sending them back hundreds of millions of years. They spawned a new civilization on some distant planet which would become the ancestors to the ones we know as the ancients.

This will probably never happen. :p

Well Universe premiered here in Australia the other day, haven't decided if I like it or not yet. It is interesting (and different) so I'll keep watching it and see how it goes, but I'll give it a chance as I hated Atlantis when it first started and it took me some time to warm up to it (as I love it as much as SG-1 now :) )

    • LibreWolf 152.0-1 by Razvan Serea LibreWolf is an independent “fork” of Firefox, with the primary goals of privacy security and user freedom. It is the community run successor to LibreFox. LibreWolf is designed to increase protection against tracking and fingerprinting techniques, while also including a few security improvements. This is achieved through our privacy and security oriented settings and patches. LibreWolf also aims to remove all the telemetry, data collection and annoyances, as well as disabling anti-freedom features like DRM. LibreWolf features: Latest Firefox — LibreWolf is compiled directly from the latest build of Firefox Stable. You will have the the latest features, and security updates. Independent Build — LibreWolf uses a build independent of Firefox and has its own settings, profile folder and installation path. As a result, it can be installed alongside Firefox or any other browser. No phoning home — Embedded server links and other calling home functions are removed. In other words, minimal background connections by default. User settings updates Extensions firewall: limit internet access for extensions. Multi-platform (Windows/Linux/Mac/and soon Android) Community-Driven Dark theme (classic and advanced) LibreWolf privacy features: Delete cookies and website data on close. Include only privacy respecting search engines like DuckDuckGo and Searx. Include uBlockOrigin with custom default filter lists, and Tracking Protection in strict mode, to block trackers and ads. Strip tracking elements from URLs, both natively and through uBO. Enable dFPI, also known as Total Cookie Protection. Enable RFP which is part of the Tor Uplift project. RFP is considered the best in class anti-fingerprinting solution, and its goal is to make users look the same and cover as many metrics as possible, in an effort to block fingerprinting techniques. Always display user language as en-US to websites, in order to protect the language used in the browser and in the OS. Disable WebGL, as it is a strong fingerprinting vector. Prevent access to the location services of the OS, and use Mozilla's location API instead of Google's API. Limit ICE candidates generation to a single interface when sharing video or audio during a videoconference. Force DNS and WebRTC inside the proxy, when one is being used. Trim cross-origin referrers, so that they don't include the full URI. Disable link prefetching and speculative connections. Disable disk cache and clear temporary files on close. Disable form autofill. Disable search and form history...and more. • hahahahah wow hahahah you sure got me there hahahahahah, you know that bad performance is always due to poor optimization by the developers, right???
    • "I know for a fact I'll never own one of these." This is why choice is better than government regulation. Globaly Android has something like 72% of the smartphone market. Granted the vast majority of that is low end phones. Apple can and should charge whatever they want. The market will decide if it is too much.
    • I dont mind the AI stuff the time its released its going to be super mature. My hope is the AI can optimise or at least work out if things could be and the devs prompted. This would help offset sloppy copy/paste and asset flips resulting is rushed bloated games.
    • its an online game, the better part of it, piracy is not the problem. If that was so, it wouldnt release 1 year after for PCs, the piracy will be there Its probably some contract with the console brands
