  1. 1. Who should lead on Destiny?

hate it when people say the old "don't watch it line". I'm gonna keep watching it, in hope that something actually happens.

it's true though if you dont like it don't continue to waste your time...but anyway I did love this episode as I said I think from now on this show will be going at full speed!

Now that power isnt an issue and they've all addressed their own mortalities its time to move the story itself on a bit and start exploring the ship. Remember we haven't even seen the main bridge area yet! Just a small science room.

Now that their power issue is sorted maybe they could gate back to Earth?

Pretty good, wish they'd left it on a high note, rather then casting doubt on whether he knew all along, slightly ruined it for me, but not enough to deter from what is a great show.

It actually did the opposite for me. Did he actually suspect that would happen? Did he know? and if did then what else does Dr Rush know about Destiny?

I really hope they get rid of the Senator's daughter because her character adds nothing to the show at all. Everytime she's in a scene I feel like fast forwarding.

But she adds Canadian hotness to the show. :p

But why would Rush not tell anyone if he knew?

Rush comes across as a loner and doesn't really get along with any of the crew, so he doesn't really have any incentives to share or divulge information about Destiny.

Well the episode was exceptionally predictable. I was hoping they'd ditch the shuttle on the planet, but then that would have been as cliche as the last second landing.

and wow that must be the smallest star system in the universes.... as Evidenced by the way off scale Star they flew over, wich also changed scale later on as they flew into it... (artists needs to learn to use proper scale and proper camera FOV's on their scenes so scales don't look all messed up). Then the fact they could see the shuttle from the observation window... seriously, even planets drop out of sight really quick when you're n space, never mind shuttles. and the shuttle didn't manage to catch up to the ship BUT it had enough time to return to the planet, slingshot around it and get back with enough speed to land... seriously.. are they taking us for idiots ?

It's a better episode than last, but they still have a long way to go.

and speaking of scale. the ship is supposed to be huge, almost atlantis huge. YEt the shuttle that took off from it, was in the shot and scale they used 1/10th the size of the ship, which would make it huge, like Earth battleship huge (like the Hammond) and would definately fit more than 20 people, more like everyone and their extended families.

The CGI aren't really up to par with atlantis at all, and with all these mistakes they do with scales and using badly scaled models combined with bad camera FOV's, instead of setting up a bigger scene with proper scales and FOV (more work but looks right) makes it seem like they just fired the whole FX crew from Atlantis and hired a brand new crew, all of which happen to be interns.

Yea I guess they have a point. Carter/Tela/Weir were all pretty strong female roles. Nothing really so far in SGU. Although the doc chick seems like she could pick up the throne as the strong female lead. She at least has some aggression to take out. All others seem pretty laid back.

I don't really care. We all know woman are perfectly capable of doing everything a man can do, except, math, chess, running, jumping, lifting stuff, fixing things, making money, hockey, surfing, driving, making decisions, being tall, taking out the garbage, tipping, fishing, being funny (on purpose), reading a map, listening to good bands, writing, running the country or inventing anything important. :)

..there might be some sarcasm in that post.

While I surely do appreciate the shower scenes and similar stuff, I also have to say that a strong female figure is indeed missing, and the characters are indeed a bit too stereotyped - they really need to wind down that heavy stereotyping quite a bit (while keeping the shower scenes 'n' stuff, of course ;) ).

Rush comes across as a loner and doesn't really get along with any of the crew, so he doesn't really have any incentives to share or divulge information about Destiny.

and that's why he allowed Young to infer that he knew all along - he didn't though. Good though cos I thought he was becoming less belligerent and heading towards being more involved with the "family" of stowaways but he's not so result.

Those online clips were added way before post-production ended, so unfortunately the creators decided to delete a few scenes. :(

But there is hope they'll put them together into webisodes, so we can all watch them some day, probably during hiatus [they did that with Battlestar Galactica].

Young is a truly dumb and irritating leader. He has not been able to establish a working relationship with the only person who really understands ancient technology. He has not been able to form teams and he has not been able to prioritize. I am just curious how the rest of the story will unfold.

    • While I agree with all that, it just proves there's an a** built for every seat.
    • Lol are you mad because I'm not using AI? I'd rather pay people than lose a bunch of potential customers and get humilated because I used AI. A lot of people won't purchase a game if it used AI during development.
