No one called you an idiot.. He was talking about those who made asinine comments on the blog. Your taking this a bit personal. He'll still get paid with or without your loyalty.

He called me an idiot by extension because i share some of the same opinions of the 'idiots' that are being very vocal at the minute of course im going to take it personal, ive spent thousands and thousands on Stargate stuff and i dont appreciate the show creator having a hissy fit because some people dont like his new show. I will spend my thousands and thousands elsewhere from now on and i hope more people do the same.

yeah it does seem kinda funny for them to start calling fans idiots this early in a shows run, that might be a record.

yeah but its the first time I have seen a writer come out on his personal blog and rant but his blog so he's fully entitled to how he thinks.

He's not the creator, it's not his show. He writes on it, and not even all episodes. I guess thousands and thousands of explanations won't make a difference though. So just stop checking the thread. Burn everything Stargate, make your sign and go protest on your lawn. :ike:

I have always been a HUGH Stargate fan from the beginning(starting from the movie of course), but with the Universe series I do not know yet, I am really bored with most of the series so far and really lost some interest. The only episode(s) I enjoyed so far have been the first episode and the one where they had to fly into the run to replenish their energy levels, but other then that last episode I feel asleep a couple of times while watching and really have not found any characters that really stands out for me and keeps my interest. I am still going to give it a chance through the first season and see if it gets better, but if not then this might end up being the last season for me, we shall see..

P.S. Rodney McKay is my all time favorite SG character, without question.

1.07 Earth Press Release

With the situation onboard the Destiny dire, General O'Neill and Home World Command orders Col. Young to execute a high risk plan concocted by the I.O.A. scientists which, in theory, could return the crew to earth. Col. Young tries to buy more time so that he can consult those on the ship whose lives are at stake. While using the communication stones, Camile Wray is approached by I.O.A. representative Dale Strom who suggests that she steer opinion on the ship in favor of the plan.

Eli and Chloe are allowed to use the communication stones to visit Earth and their loved ones for what may be the last time. Their homecoming is not what they expected and the two try to drink away their worries at a club (featuring Janelle Mon?e), but are unable to ignore the looming fate of the Destiny that they have left behind.

Ah the Phillip Fry reference was gold, well that was a far more well paced episode than a few of them, full credit there. I would like to know what the hell telford is doing at the end there, he wouldn't dare...

As for Rush, I know why he did what he did and for the first time at least he was somewhat aligned with Young (he bought them more time) but then young goes right off in to his usual "I don't trust rush" routine.

Kinda freaked me out when Telford showed up at Young's wife's place. Kinda made sense when he had that "look" when they were switching bodies over and over lol Dunno if there's something there or not, gotta wait and see I guess.

I really enjoyed that episode. And WOW talk about awesome weapon system the destiny has! Sweet effects.

Also that last scene with Telford, I wonder now if he has some sorta, grudge against Young, and since he knew that Young was getting intimiate with his wife, in telfords body, that now he is going to take advantage of that and make youngs wife think its actually young. Wow this gets confusing. Hahaha

lol, yeah it is getting pretty confusing, i would think "wtf" when the stones skipped whilst going in and out of FTL.

Gotta say, Eli and Rush are the best 2 characters, Not 100% sure if you can trust Rush though, Think he has more access to more systems than we know of...

they've done a good job of making Telford an *******, I hope they don't take him to that level, that extra step isn't necessary for us to hate him. I also think that it was an invasion of Telford's body and lack of respect for Young to have sex with the woman. For a second I thought that Chloe and Ellie were going to have sex in those bodies they were in too.

The ending was good, but I wish the crew and people would start giving Rush some credit and stop trying to question him at everything, but begging for his help when they need something.

In the previous episodes it seemed like Telford had an issue with Young.

Yeah Rush is turning out to be an alright guy. He's like an older, more arrogant McKay. :p

I agree with you to a point. If Rush is given more credit by people on Destiny, it would be very similar with the way people responded to McKay. While I think some people should cut Rush some slack, I think the new angle is good. :)

Also, how often will they do the "we found a way to get you guys home" angle? On Voyager it happened at least once a season (if not more lol) and it was stupid because everyone knew if they got home the show ended. With Universe, just because they get home doesn't mean the show ends, which is a plus. They could find a way to gate home and send a real crew in season 2 lets say and explore things that way, or a way to send the ship itself back to the Milky Way and explore things that way.

Regardless if they do the "we got a way home" thing every 5 episodes it's going to get dumb and old real quick.

So far, SGU is right on course with Voyager. This episode, Earth, is the 7th episode. (or 6th, depending if you count the first as 1 or 2) In Star Trek Voyager their first "hope" for home was also in the 7th episode (again, or 6th). Eye of the Needle. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eye_of_the_Ne...rek:_Voyager%29 Where a wormhole is discovered.

So, going by the Voyager timeline, it won't be long before they encounter humans from 1937 brought to a planet by aliens

    • All versions is correct. The bug appears on any version of Windows with KB5094126 installed. It's a little insane to expect the author to explain that systems that can't possibly have that patch installed, will not experience the bug. If you have any gripe about the title, it would be that it doesn't mention the update at all, but I wouldn't agree with that either. A title is not expected to be a full summery of the article.
    • (Can't see if he's still wearing the clompy clown shoes though)
    • I'd say the first one failed to be as popular as Apple anticipated, but the easy adjustment here is to make fewer of them next time around. It would only be a "flop" if it isn't possible for Apple to recover the design and factory tooling costs given the number of units sold, which I doubt would be the case. It isn't like no one bought them; it just failed to become the new hot phone of the year.
    • You're right that it does not follow the plain meaning of the word, but in this context, it is a legal term defined in 49 U.S.C. Kind of how "wire fraud" laws apply even if a physical wire was not used. Given that it is codified in law, and it isn't just automotive journalists that don't understand evolving technology, I highly doubt congress would change a well understood term just because technology makes the term slightly less actuate.
