  1. 1. Who should lead on Destiny?

No, I'm not at the point of calling it the best stargate ever or anything, that will take many seasons. SG1 was fantastic until near the end, it got a bit stale. Atlantis was hit and miss with me. It just seemed a bit of the same take on the original story for the most part. Universe is something completely different, and while I hate that whiny ###### Chloe, I like the story and a lot of the characters. I keep thinking to myself "Man, SG1 would have been great with Rush"

he's the only one on there with an ounce of acting ability & style. He would've been great on sg1 or atlantis. I don't like any of the other characters atm, they all seem like they came off some dull soap and joined the cast. I want to know why they went for the "drama" instead of "actual entertainment"...

In the mid-season finale, "Justice," a crew member is found dead from a gunshot wound, and the gun is found in Colonel Young's quarters. Young will turn over command to Camille Wray. Meanwhile, Rush gains access to the Ancient interface, and a planet harbors a secret that threatens the Destiny. [GateWorld]

Stargate Universe - Amanda Tapping to return to SGU

Colonel Samantha Carter will be back on the small screen before the first season of Stargate Universe is over. Actress Amanda Tapping confirmed to The Huffington Post that she will return for another guest appearance at the end of the season.

?I?ve done two episodes,? Tapping told the site. ?I did their first two-parter and I?m at the very end of their season. And I just shot that a few weeks ago. So I started their season and I?m ending their season, which was very cool. But I didn?t get to play with anyone. If they were ever to have me come back, I?d want to be with people. I?m kind of off on my ship, which I think is awesome.?

The actress made a guest appearance in ?Air, Part 1,? with Colonel Carter now in command of the Earth ship Hammond. The ship ferried characters to the Icarus Base, then unsuccessfully defended the outpost from an enemy attack

damn, getting me happy making me think they killed Chloe off and then bam :( . I could believe they got rid of big boobs, but when they killed Chloe too I knew meh everybody is going to live sigh. Overall it felt like a filler episode to me, we learned a few new insights into the characters, but for the most part it literally didn't advance the story any further lol.

I feel the episode was all about character progression, we and everyone watching the Kino recording learned a bit more about Eli and a few other characters (though the most about Eli) while they set themselves up to actually progress past that planet in the next episode (they will find both Kino's, the one from the first time loop and the one from the second) they will get to the planet during day to get one of the creatures and create a vaccine for the bug in their water supply before anyone even shows the symptoms of getting sick (or at least before anyone gets close enough to dying from it).

I still liked the episode though, it was cool seeing some of the characters die. Hopefully the next episode will have them make a bit more progress right now.....currently they know exactly when they would be able to send a Kino back in time from that planet and therefore reset the timeline to before they got to the planet, they are stuck in a loop so they could essentially take multiple episodes to explore and develop a cure....simply document everything for your past selves to find and you can keep the cycle going until you learn enough to save everyone. :p

I really liked Time even if it ended 'unfinished' I would have preferred seeing a proper ending. Still really entertaining. It was nice seeing the whole solar flare plot make an appearance in this show and it was cool watching everyones reactions both present and past. I loved when Eli in the past was bitching about things and then in the present agreeing with himself. Those creatures kicked their asses badly. They survived several nights initially but the second time, all gone within minutes.

Next episode seems to pick up where the previous one ended so I suppose that makes Time a pure filler episode. Still better than some of the others. And I for one like the Kino shots. Adds a level of realism similar to Cloverfield did.

I liked the way Chloe was chest bursted :D

yeah even i'll admit she did her death scene pretty well, everybody else overacted the hell out of it. I was like lol you aren't even trying to make it believable.

    • Glad these prices are starting to come down, but that is still crazy. I bought the 2TB 9100 Pro (slightly more expensive version with PCIe 5.0) last year for $240.
    • The 2TB Samsung 990 PRO NVMe SSD hits lowest price in over three months by Sayan Sen Yesterday, we covered a really good deal wherein you can get a 4TB TeamGroup T-FORCE G50 NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSD for a low price of just $400 with a special discount coupon. That's just $100 per TB, making it a very good offer during these hard times. The deal is still live, so you can check it out in its dedicated article here if you do not want to miss out. Meanwhile, if you don't have that kind of budget but still wish to buy an SSD for a good price, the 2TB variant of the TeamGroup SSD at $280 its lowest price in over three months. Meanwhile, those seeking 2TB but faster performance can check out Samsung's 990 PRO, which has hit the lowest price also in the last quarter or so, as it's on sale for $370 (purchase links under the specs table down below). Thus, you want a faster drive, get the 990 Pro, or you want more capacity, grab the TeamGroup 4TB linked in the first para. The 990 PRO is a PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD and still one of the fastest drives available today for under $500. Speaking of fast, sequential reads and writes are rated at 7450 MB/s and 6900 MB/s, respectively. The random throughputs for reads and writes are 1400K IOPS and 1550K IOPS, respectively. The 990 PRO is based on Samsung's 7th Gen V-NAND flash, and it too is TLC. It packs 2 gigs of LPDDR4 DRAM cache, which helps the random performance. The endurance rating for this is 1200 TBW (terabytes written), which should be sufficient for most users. The Samsung 990 PRO is compatible with the PlayStation 5, but if you are going to use the 990 PRO on a PC, check out the Samsung Magician app that lets you track your drive's health, update its firmware, customize various settings, and more. • If you can't spell a simple word that 2nd graders learn, your entire argument is suspect.
    • And here goes the "Won't someone think of the children" brigade. Get stuffed mate. This has NOTHING to do with making the internet safe. It's about tracking adults, spying on your online activity, and sending the boys around when they don't like something you post. Also, again, parliament have voted TWICE against this, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. THAT is anti-democratic bullsh**. They will use this law to track you, they will use this law to control you, and they will use this law to punish you if they don't like what you do, even if it's legal. And your data? Say bye bye to that. It'll be on the darkweb in weeks. I'm not some rando online. I've been an IT professional for 40 years, many of it in security. I know exactly what this means and what will happen to your data. I do not consent and I will not comply.
    • "...but it may not be Microsoft's fault" seems like a reasonable way to tease what is going on without leaving the user with a false impression that an update is the problem. A title isn't a summery, it is meant to entice the user to read the article. It should not contain a misleading premise; which this title does not. You could maybe complain that the first paragraph should have included that detail. The writing style popularized over 100 years ago in newspapers will cover the most important information as soon as possible with details and nuance added later; the idea being that with each new paragraph you have less of the reader's focus.
