Offical NFL 2008-2009 Season Thread

NFL.com has a video compilation of plays from this year. I enjoyed watching it and the song was pretty fitting: http://www.nfl.com/videos?videoId=09000d5d80ddf5c8

My favorite parts were at 0:37 and 3:50, with Jacobs rolling over a Redskins player and McClain shoving the Cowboy player with one arm. And, of course, the amazing catches.

WOW WHAT A Thriller is this game!!! :D
I felt my heart beating when Stover lined up for that FG...

This will be a great division championship! Either the Chargers or Steelers face the Ravens, should make for another great game! The AFC sure delivers :D

I'm calling a rematch between the Steelers and the Ravens for the game they played near the end of the season. The Steelers went into the lion's den and won, I think we'll see a repeat of another close game.

In other news, I'm stunned that the Cardinals are dominating the Panthers. Stunned :|

You really think the Chargers have a chance?

Absolutely, why wouldn't we? When the teams last met in week 11 (at Pittsburgh), the Chargers lost by 1.

We were underdogs in the Tampa, Denver and Indy games, and look what happened there. Not to mention the Colts were on a 9 game winning streak.

The Chargers do have a chance if you ask me if Sproles and Gates are having a good day - Pittsburgh however needs to have a good day on offense too if they want to win this I think...

I just hope that it's going to be a great game :D

Same goes for the Eagles versus the Giants, yet here I'm more biased and I hope the Giants do win, I love their running game...

Well, the underdogs have seriously stepped it up. After seeing 3 of the 4 of the top seeds lose, I can see the Steelers losing this game, which is funny because the Chargers didn't even have a winning record, barely making it into the playoffs (something of which I take serious issue with... who cares if you won the division, you don't have a winning record!)

Now that it's official, I'm pulling for the Cardinals in next week's NFC Championship game. I'm simply stunned that the top seeds were taken out. Well, not so much with the Titans, I was iffy and would've picked the Ravens, their D is intense. I'm pulling for the Steelers and want to see a rematch of the Steelers and Ravens for the AFC Championship.

Wow, did not see a loss for the Giants coming - but the Eagles really deserved it, they were better all the way, the Giants just seemed powerless...

I agree with Mathachew though, I'm pulling for the Cardinals as well, Fitzgerald is just a blast to watch!

Still hoping that one of the AFC teams win the Superbowl though :p

Very nicely done for the Steelers D pushing them back and holding them. This is not exactly what I expected the game to do, I expected slush, slip-n-slide kind of playing; I'm very glad that it wasn't one of those, I can't stand those types of games.

    • OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT memory by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI is rolling out a major upgrade to ChatGPT's memory, making the system more capable, current, and scalable across long-term use. Memory allows ChatGPT to remember useful details about users, including their preferences, projects, and constraints. Instead of starting every conversation from scratch, ChatGPT can use this context to provide more relevant responses in future chats. OpenAI first launched saved memories in February 2024. That feature allowed users to explicitly ask ChatGPT to save information into its memory, such as travel plans or writing preferences. However, this system had limits because it depended heavily on users giving clear instructions to remember something. Additionally, saved memories could become stale over time. In April 2025, OpenAI expanded memory by allowing ChatGPT to reference past chat context outside the saved memories list. This was powered by a background process called “dreaming,” which automatically curates memories from chat history. This made ChatGPT better at learning from natural conversation without requiring users to manually save every detail. Today, OpenAI announced a more capable and compute-efficient memory architecture built on top of dreaming. This new system improves ChatGPT’s ability to carry forward useful context, follow user preferences, and remain accurate as time passes. According to OpenAI’s internal evaluations, the new system improves factual recall from 67.9% in 2025 to 82.8% in 2026. Preference adherence improves from 55.3% to 71.3%, while accuracy over time improves from 52.2% to 75.1%. The best part of this new system is a new memory summary page where users can review ChatGPT's memories. Users can even update details, correct information, or give instructions on what topics ChatGPT should bring up and when. This new, improved memory system is available to ChatGPT Plus and Pro users in the US starting today. It will roll out to more countries, as well as Free and Go users, in the coming weeks.
    • I work for a video production company in Australia. The camera operators shoot footage and then pass the SD card over to the editors. Much easier than handing over the entire camera. Plus, on a busy day you can hand off the SD card and then pop another in for the next shoot. Or, you might have used multiple SD cards because you need the extra space for a long shoot. I also use USB cables and wifi for transferring footage, but in many cases an SD card reader is the easiest method.
