Guest
How do you make thumbnails then? Can't seem to find it :/ Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/666334-localhostr-uploadr-windowsos-x/page/6/#findComment-591322072 Share on other sites
Mike
You don't make thumbnails, they're done automatically and shown in the history. Guest
You don't make thumbnails, they're done automatically and shown in the history. History? Where can you see that? Do you need an account? If so, where can you get one? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/666334-localhostr-uploadr-windowsos-x/page/6/#findComment-591322140 Share on other sites

Mike
As I said, they're generated automatically and shown in the history area (I assume you know where that is now?), and as mail said, they're only for images (can't make thumbnails of programs :p) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/666334-localhostr-uploadr-windowsos-x/page/6/#findComment-591322206 Share on other sites

mail
I know what you meant though ... you want thumbnail of the image to post on forums etc ... This is not a feature we have yet but we might implement it in the future (Y). Mike
The thumbnail is on the left ;) If you want access to the actual file, find the URL for the uploaded file, eg for the one above its: http://localhostr.com/files/742b9d/capture.png and insert "thumbs/" after "files/", so for the above it'd be http://localhostr.com/files/thumbs/742b9d/capture.png Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/666334-localhostr-uploadr-windowsos-x/page/6/#findComment-591322264 Share on other sites

Jamushroom Veteran Posted July 24, 2009 Veteran Share Posted July 24, 2009 Could you maybe add is a taskbar item for the Windows release in the future? I'm used to dragging a file to the taskbar item so that the Window pops up. moloko
Great program. Though I wish I could put stuff on my remote server instead of localhostr. Jamushroom Veteran Posted July 24, 2009 Veteran Share Posted July 24, 2009 Use the "Send To" shortcut (Y)Radish™ Thanks, I recreated that shortcut. I never use the "Send To" menu which is why I didn't notice that feature. So yeah, my feature request can be forgotten :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/666334-localhostr-uploadr-windowsos-x/page/6/#findComment-591322906 Share on other sites

Mike
As mail said, it has the taskbar entry in Win 7 (mainly due to the jump list feature) but continues to not have one in XP/Vista as the app is meant to feel more like a widget/gadget than an application. I can look into have either the tray icon drag 'n' droppable or having a hotkey to bring the window to the front. Jamushroom Veteran Posted July 24, 2009 Veteran Share Posted July 24, 2009 For now I'll use the "Send To" option :) Maybe you can add the taskbar item as an optional setting? For the latter; that's currently already possible by enabling "Always On Top". It's basically the same idea as yours thought in a different way. Anyways, the feature is not a must as the "Send To" option is just as easy and handy :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/666334-localhostr-uploadr-windowsos-x/page/6/#findComment-591323964 Share on other sites
Mike
I may look into having it as a setting in the config, it's unlikely to go on the preferences window though. There would need to be other changes / fixes for me to release a version with it though, there are one or two other things I can add in, but again they're only small things and don't warrant an update so soon after a previous one.
