Assassins Creed 2 for ?24.85.

Is that a good deal? Haven't been keeping up with game prices lately and am looking for something to buy for when I'm home for easter for a couple of weeks.

That is a very good price considering it hasn't been out for long and it's about 40 pounds at the normal price, if that sale ends tonight i'd buy it at 25 quid now, if i had the money like :p

Assassins Creed 2 - Special Edition - ?23.98 @ Gamestation

  • 2 weeks later...

Some good choices under £20, dunno what to pick!

Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time - £17.89

Katamari Forever - £14.89

Bayonetta - £19.89

White Knight Chronicles - £19.89

Was considering WKC after AT said he's enjoying it more than FF13, a game I just can't play longer than 30-45 mins, however I guess I have a fair few RPGs now. I might pickup Ratchet and Clank (Y)

Had a fix with GoW3, although I know Bayonetta is suppose to be really good, and I loved the Katamari games on the PS2 :p

Anyone know of any really good in store PS3 bundles?

I am buying myself a new PS3 at the end of the upcoming week or beginning of the week after and am looking for a bundle.

Preferably a bundle that comes with one or two out of GoW3/Heavy Rain/Bad Company 2/Just Cause 2, or two games that will be good to trade in that can go towards one of the mentioned games.

Check out the Amazon PS3 page mate. They have a continous running deal. PS3 + 2 popular/latest games + hdmi cable. It all works out to PS3 + one game after the automatic discount at the checkout.

Went with A Crack in Time, reviewed well - http://www.metacriti...ureacrackintime

I hate these cheap ****ty sites, cancelled the order and bumped the price back up.

That's simplygames and thegamecollection I'm avoiding, complete ******s.

Strange, I got my WKC from TheGameCollection and it arrived the very next day. Never used simplygames though. Not good on the cancelling of the order though, any reason given?

Ouch WKC now up to £34.89, Bayonetta still same price though at the moment.

Nope, I suspect a large volume of orders for R&C so they didn't want to fufill at that price, they've bumped the price back up now.

TheGameCollection said there was a problem with my card for GoW3 at £33.99, but when I checked my account they had successfuly charged me the price, but refunded it the next day. Just a case of too many pre-orders as it was the cheapest online.

Their solution was re-order, but they had stated on their site any order after the 10th of march would be late, I ordered on the 3rd. Cancelled a few days before release.

Reliability for the smaller sites is terrible, and instead of telling the truth they always make up excuses, so much bad reputation for these sites if you search online.

Thats awesome, cheers.

I've found this one online at GAME. http://www.game.co.uk/Consoles/PlayStation-3/Sony-Playstation-3-250Gb-PS3-Slim-with-God-of-War-III-and-Battlefield-Bad-Company-2/~r347681/

But its out of stock dammit!

I'm going to go hunting through shops come Friday/Saturday for something similiar.

Apparently Bionic Commando is selling for ?4.50 in Tesco - http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/655665/bionic-commando-for-ps3-for-4-50-at

Asked my GF to check tonight when she goes to work, I'll give that a playthrough at that price and with her discount card :p

This deal was a couple of weeks back according to Tesco, no more, I forgot to say.

Bayonetta is tempting at the current prices - www.dvdbargainalerts.co.uk/fetch/GAME/B001JEPWDG/Bayonetta-(PS3)

Edge gave it 10/10 and I'm still itching after GoW3. Second hand copies on ebay are going cheap, trying to nab one. Wonder why it lost it's value so quickly and it got very good scores?

It's very Japanese and very difficult... Oh and it's ****. :D

Well I love Japanese games, and I love difficulty ;) My two favourite games this generation couldn't be any more Japanese/Old school.

Although most reviews I've watched say it's easy to button mash your way through

Lost my first auction to ?12.50, only bid up to ?12.

Anyone know what Gamestation are doing this for in-store new or second hand? I'll be in town a few times this week and I might take in GT5P and trade it in for a few pounds off of Bayonetta if they're selling it cheap enough.

    • Apple reportedly looks to blacklisted Chinese memory chips as RAM prices climb by Karthik Mudaliar Image via Apple Apple is reportedly trying to get a clearance from the Trump administration to buy memory from ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) to get some relief from soaring DRAM prices. As per a report by the Financial Times, Apple approached the Commerce Department more than a month ago and also spoke to other officials and allies in Washington. For starters, CXMT is a company that's already been placed on the Pentagon's list of Chinese military companies. The Chinese company is the country's top DRAM maker. For Apple, the timing is certainly awkward but not surprising. Tim Cook had recently warned that Apple would have to raise prices because AI companies are buying up large amounts of memory for data centers, and just like that, Apple raised MacBook and iPad prices. Micron also recently revealed that customers have committed billions of dollars to secure memory supply years in advance, which shows us how aggressive securing infrastructure has become. This gives suppliers such as Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron more leverage, while pushing hardware makers to look for alternatives. CXMT is one of those alternatives, but not the simplest one. Apple has spent many years trying to diversify parts of its supply chain away from China, especially for final assembly, while still depending heavily on Chinese manufacturing and suppliers. Even domestic brands from China are moving towards CXMT and YMTC instead of relying on Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix. For Apple, though, it would invite more scrutiny than local Chinese companies. For now, this is more like a lobbying effort rather than a confirmed supply deal. There's no official statement from either of the parties. What is clearer, though, is the pressure behind such a request. AI demand has certainly made hardware a bottleneck, and companies are trying everything they can to bring things back to normal, even if that means making politically sensitive choices. Source: Financial Times
    • I did test it a month or so back, but ... the results I expect to be on the first page are not there.
    • Neowin is saying these are good prices? Thats crazy. As others have said they are just ######. Time for big tech to bring down the prices for real not this fake crap.
    • The iFlyTek AINote 2 is among the thinnest E-Ink tablets. It has an EMR stylus, a built-in fingerprint reader, and plenty of built-in AI features. You had me until "and plenty of built-in AI features." That and any company that still does the iProduct naming trope is an immediate pass. It suggests the company isn't very imaginative or creative and is trying to piggyback off another company's success. Extremely lame. Also kind of expensive. Better choices at lower prices out there.
