[Official] Far Cry 2

If they would fix the A.I. Taking 5000 hits to kill I would really love this game. Really enjoying it so far though. Other thing that annoys me is the guard posts. You can't drive anywhere without some douche in a jeep attacking you for no reason. And if you kill everyone in a guard post and come back they all regenerate.

You know i haven't tested this in full but do they go down faster shooting them in the head?? I seem to take a beating when under attack but it takes me forever to kill them. My aim must suck bad.

Well don't bother aiming with the LMG's because that aim is just atrocious. I realize they are hard to aim in real life but why even bother shooting from the him when you will be aiming at the sky in half a second with all that muzzle rise.

For the people stating what FPS they are getting - can you please post system specs so we can compare? :)

Vista Sp1

GIGABYTE GA-EP35C-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P35

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz LGA 775

PALiT NE/880TSXT302 GeForce 8800GT SONIC 1GB

CORSAIR 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1066 (PC3 8500)

Windows XP SP3

Intel Core2 Extreme X6800 2.93GHz

4,00GB RAM ( 3 Seen by XP )

nVidia Geforce 8800 Ultra

Running around 40 FPS at 1920x1200 - Everything Maxed ( Ultra High ), no AA/AF.

Are you kidding? I can run World in Conflict with almost max AA at 1920x1080 which would kill my rig if I tried to do the same with Crysis. :p

Nah I'm not kidding :p World in Conflict run like crap on my PC :( but Crysis runs fine (on low) :/ go figure.

Hmm sounds like you need a fairly beefy GPU to run this game, most of the people reporting the game running well have fairly high end cards...I don't think my lowly 8600GTS would cope with this game, guess I'm skipping it after all :p

I was at the top of a tower and started shooting down at this vehicle with two baddies in it. It just drove around in circles ... So stupid.

And I got caught up in a rainstorm earlier! :o So neat, the trees start blowing around... and I had my first weapon jam! Not nice while being under fire.

What is with everyone saying it takes 1000 shots to kill enemies? You guys must have the worst ****ing aim of all time, headshots are one shot kills, aim at the chest and it takes six shots, the legs take over 10 for obvious reasons. Shotguns are one-two shot kills depending on range, so I don't see how this game is any different to most games out now. The only thing that ****es me off is that I don't have enough diamonds for more syrette spots and I keep running out.

    • Not even an OLED display on the laptops. Also it seems that the laptop design isn't the same as the Surface Ultra model. Looks like bargain bin at high prices.
    • VirtualBox 7.2.10 by Razvan Serea VirtualBox is a powerful x86 and AMD64/Intel64 virtualization product for enterprise as well as home use. Targeted at server, desktop and embedded use, it is now the only professional-quality virtualization solution that is also Open Source Software. Presently, VirtualBox runs on Windows, Linux, macOS, and Solaris hosts and supports a large number of guest operating systems including but not limited to Windows (NT 4.0, 2000, XP, Server 2003, Vista, 7, 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11), DOS/Windows 3.x, Linux (2.4, 2.6, 3.x, 4.x, 5.x and 6.x), Solaris and OpenSolaris, OS/2, OpenBSD, NetBSD and FreeBSD. Some of the features of VirtualBox are: Modularity. VirtualBox has an extremely modular design with well-defined internal programming interfaces and a client/server design. This makes it easy to control it from several interfaces at once: for example, you can start a virtual machine in a typical virtual machine GUI and then control that machine from the command line, or possibly remotely. VirtualBox also comes with a full Software Development Kit: even though it is Open Source Software, you don't have to hack the source to write a new interface for VirtualBox. Virtual machine descriptions in XML. The configuration settings of virtual machines are stored entirely in XML and are independent of the local machines. Virtual machine definitions can therefore easily be ported to other computers. • OK, now ask yourself how are they going to enforce that law? By requiring every single adult to prove their age and provide their legal identity documents to an UNREGULATED 3rd party company that already has a long track record of multiple data breaches. Not to mention, parliament have voted AGAINST this ban, twice, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. So, where's the democracy here, because that looks like dictatorship to me. The solution here is parental responsibility, not government control. Run some public service announcements on TV and UK social media teaching parents how to setup parental controls. That's already been proven to actually work. But the, this is not and has NEVER been about keeping kids safe. It's about control and monitoring. Watching what you're doing online and controlling what you can see and what you can say.
    • Interesting read. I knew the adware was quite controversial at the time, however never realised to the point The Guardian wrote an article about Patchou. I just said no and enjoyed his creation, I’d probably be a lot more wary of something like that today though.
