[Official] Call of Duty: World at War

God, I suck online. I was decent in CoD4, but I'm terrible at this. I'm online now practicing and looking really bad at it.

Don't feel bad, I suck horribly at it most of the time. Best I can usually manage is a 50/50 ratio, maybe a bit above depending on the map.

Piece of advice though, once you hit level 8 or 12 whatever it is, and unlock the rest of the playlist, play Headquaters mode. You level up much, much faster in there. (I don't remember if CoD4 had it or not) If I see you online again and you are joinable I might join ya :)

I'm getting the hang of it, I've had a few rounds where I was able to call on the dogs more than once. I know about headquarters mode from CoD4, so I plan on playing it once I unlock it. I don't care about how fast it levels me. It's just more fun to play and forces more teamwork, which I prefer.

Well, the Ray Gun does exist in SP Campaign. Either that, or someone did a real good video editing job.

In order to get it, you're supposed to jump into those craters as shown, then wait in the last one.

I haven't tried it yet, (too late here tonight), but I'm going to try it tomorrow.

Now that is cool. I still need to finish it, among other games, getting behind !!

Just finished the PC campaign and had a decent time. Not sure if COD4 was like this or not but I forgot the whole part about if you don't get to a certain place on the map, guys just don't stop coming. Kind of crappy because then I had to make like suicide charges half the time, go prone, and wait for my guys to advance. Other than that, pretty fun SP...well until the end of the game. Way to reminiscent of COD4's ending.

What's up with that Ray Gun youtube video posted above?

Just had a great few rounds with MasterGreenEye a little whole ago. It's nice to play with people I know, lol.

Yeah top games there bangbang you don't give yourself enough credit you played awesome (Y)

Apart from THAT round, you know the one :D I won't mention it here :p

I found the game enjoyable but I agree with you. The scripted/triggered non-stop respawning enemies is getting tiresome. I don't know if I could play through another COD game where I'm FORCED to charge forward instead of being able to clear the enemies first.

The Ray Gun is in Zombie Mode as a "buyable gun" (for lack of a better term). Treyarch hid it in SP mode as an Easter Egg.

I finally did the mission when you are an American and the gunner in the airplane and have to switch positions, worth playing the SP for that part alone IMO, and I am enjoying the rest of the SP too, just that part was really kick ass.

Just curious, how many more levels do I have left in the SP Campaign??

As I said, I did the Airplane level, and I think I left off with the level afterwards, might have played a bit longer but not much.

Just go to the Co-op menu and check the levels, the ones you haven't completed should be grayed out, that's what I did to check my progress.

Nice, did not know that, thanks for the tip.

If anyone is interested, me and habnad and a buddy of his are almost definitely hopping on to play some HQ MP in 30 minutes. Well he and his buddy definitely are, I still am a possible no show, but should be good for a few I hope.

    • Apple reportedly looks to blacklisted Chinese memory chips as RAM prices climb by Karthik Mudaliar Image via Apple Apple is reportedly trying to get a clearance from the Trump administration to buy memory from ChangXin Memory Technologies (CXMT) to get some relief from soaring DRAM prices. As per a report by the Financial Times, Apple approached the Commerce Department more than a month ago and also spoke to other officials and allies in Washington. For starters, CXMT is a company that's already been placed on the Pentagon's list of Chinese military companies. The Chinese company is the country's top DRAM maker. For Apple, the timing is certainly awkward but not surprising. Tim Cook had recently warned that Apple would have to raise prices because AI companies are buying up large amounts of memory for data centers, and just like that, Apple raised MacBook and iPad prices. Micron also recently revealed that customers have committed billions of dollars to secure memory supply years in advance, which shows us how aggressive securing infrastructure has become. This gives suppliers such as Samsung, SK Hynix, and Micron more leverage, while pushing hardware makers to look for alternatives. CXMT is one of those alternatives, but not the simplest one. Apple has spent many years trying to diversify parts of its supply chain away from China, especially for final assembly, while still depending heavily on Chinese manufacturing and suppliers. Even domestic brands from China are moving towards CXMT and YMTC instead of relying on Samsung, Micron, and SK Hynix. For Apple, though, it would invite more scrutiny than local Chinese companies. For now, this is more like a lobbying effort rather than a confirmed supply deal. There's no official statement from either of the parties. What is clearer, though, is the pressure behind such a request. AI demand has certainly made hardware a bottleneck, and companies are trying everything they can to bring things back to normal, even if that means making politically sensitive choices. • I did test it a month or so back, but ... the results I expect to be on the first page are not there.
    • Neowin is saying these are good prices? Thats crazy. As others have said they are just ######. Time for big tech to bring down the prices for real not this fake crap.
    • The iFlyTek AINote 2 is among the thinnest E-Ink tablets. It has an EMR stylus, a built-in fingerprint reader, and plenty of built-in AI features. You had me until "and plenty of built-in AI features." That and any company that still does the iProduct naming trope is an immediate pass. It suggests the company isn't very imaginative or creative and is trying to piggyback off another company's success. Extremely lame. Also kind of expensive. Better choices at lower prices out there.
