[Official] Call of Duty: World at War

It is not that easy but Veteran is about twice as hard. Treyarch messed it up again like they did in COD3.

I'm still on my first play through on Hardened, and the game is stupidly difficult. Some of the level design on the mortar/tunnel mission was hideous. The enemies weren't actually difficult to kill, their positioning was just ridiculous.

I have no intent on doing anymore single player now that I beat it on Normal. It was ridiculous and, honestly, the strategy seemed to be tons of grenades and constantly respawning enemies. They weren't smart at all.

So I am on the level "burn em out" and right at the end where it says regroup in the final mortar pit but when I get there nothing happens, glitch? I restarted but it does the same.

Exactly. It wasn't difficulty in the sense that it required you to think over your stratergy or consider other methods, it was just plain dumb and incredibly frustrating.

I hate it when developers get lazy and resort to multiplying enemies rather than actually making them smarter. It's plain lazy.

I managed to get him in the end, persistence DOES pay off. But yeah, that was a very annoying level. I kept finding myself stuck to various objects throughout the room when trying to take cover. Not to mention the Russian soldier guy was practically useless with his late position calling.

I've been playing it on hardened and I nearly threw the damn thing because of this, you have to be really quick to hit him first.. really quick . Took me a good 30mins to finally kill him

I finally did those 2 levels only to go to Soviet level and drive tanks :( I hate driving in shooting games.

I thought the tank level was awesome. Wait for Plane level, it is even more awesome and Watchout for 2nd last level of game. Its so ****ing tough especially in hard or veteran difficulty.

Double XP again this weekend. Two of my friends already playing, will be playing myself within an hour or so. Maybe finally prestige.

Anyone want to join us feel free to join the party I am in once I am on.

As what was posted in another thread, a new map was released as part of a PC patch for WaW, Makin Day.

Over in the xbox forums, JD 2020, a Treyarch Community Manager, said Makin Day will be released as free DLC on the consoles.

Walkthrough of map during "day"

    • Population especially in high density areas creates more heat and more humidity. This can be noticed in an indoor arena or concert room which heats up when the room or arena fills with people, without air conditoning to cool it down, Watering of lawns creates more humidity as the moisture from the watering rises into the atmosphere, creating a more humid condition. The again, depopulating an arena or room after an event will drop the temperature inside. Desert areas are less humid for a number of reasons, including a lower population density. Tel Aviv has horrible weather, unless you like it hot and humid. Summer days are regularly 90+ F with humidity well over 70%. It is probably not as bad as Mississippi but still it is bad enough.
    • Where is the "Wow!" emoji? This'll have to do 🤩
    • I hear you on browser password manager, in my case I have two Google profiles, one was created when Google decided to grandfather us out of Workspace for Domains (with the replacement being too expensive for 25 users) resulting in my domain email address no longer being able to be registered to a new Workspace I created (for myself and another co-owner) so I could use Takeout and sync over some stuff to the new Workspace. Then I have my personal Google profile which I could be logged into on my desktop or Mobile, so I am saving passwords on one or the other, and when an URL changes another password for the same service gets added, it basically ends up being a giant mess. Unless I missed something is there a local decent password manager that can override the browser password managers for Chrome, Edge, Firefox (profiles) so that there is only one vault, and does that also support Passkeys (which to me are still confusing because sometimes it will ask for a Passkey on a phone I am no longer using!) Microsofts implementation of Passkeys is the worst!
    • It's utterly baffling that we have no idea when we'll get new features even well after they've been released. Why Microsoft thinks this is a good rollout strategy is beyond me.
    • If it makes anybody happy, others will need to be bitter about it. (apologies to Yogi Berra)
