I hope I made it clear. Gigabyte, Abit, Asus,MSI,Shuttle,etc... are boards one uses to make standard PCs. I hope no one is putting them under Other unidentifiable. I made that catagory for those who weren't sure or didn't have a common brand, like some chinese computer or third world computer company.

Why?

Because it is poor etiquette. If everyone was bumping their threads here just so people could see them more, we'd have chaos. If people want to post here, they will. If no one posts here after a day, there is no need to bump it any more.

Why would you want all those hard drives when you could have got a better video card?

Why would you want all those hard drives when you could have got a better video card?

Because I don't need a more powerful video card... the only game I play handles my graphics card just fine (americas army).

And I need those drives to store the home brew videos I make. I need a decent capture card now.

My PC would not boot with anything other then 2 power supplies. It was using just too much power.

I had 1 antec and 1 compusa PSU and the antec blew up. Literally.

I was surfing the web and I hear like 10 gun shots from my computer. It was the lowdest thing I ever herd. PC instantly dies. I was freaked out. Ended up that the Antec PSU blew up. I opened the PSU and **** was all melted in it.

Haven't had any problems with compusa PSU's. Plus, their cheap around here.

I recently got a camera and new hard drive for just that. Althrough not that many hard drives :/

As for capture cards any very decent one is expensive: s-video intput, hdtv, other digital: I searched the web a few weeks looking for hdtv capture cards and noticed they were all very expensive also any card other then a standard cable jack input was over 350$. I ended up getting some 500$ hdtv capture card with plently of inputs and an1800$ base unit progressive/hdtv/converter/everything to base comparisons on.

A sony DCR-TRV38, DCR-TRV33, and a Sony DCR-Trv22. Guess what. The sony dcr-trv33 seemed to be the best.

DCR-TRV22 was of poor quality while 38 and 33 use same chips. The base unit was of course the best and looked wonderful but I didn't need it for my purpose. The hdtv capture card did just as good as the dcr-trv33. I ended up returning everything cept the dcr-trv33. If your looking to get a capture device, the dcr-trv33 is great as it has analog and digital passthrough(I got a pb/prpy converter plugin 10$ radioshack) for the camera. So since you want it for homevideos. You could get the DCR-TRV33 plug it into your audigy2's firewire port and stream higher then dvd quality video from it. This way it will be flexable what you will be able to record. You can always get a higher end model or something different dependent on your needs. I havn't found any specific details on the quality of the hdtv/dv converter plug/pass-through into the DCR-TRV33 but the recording looks the same on my monitor as on the hdtv.
