i am totally confused after sucessfully creating a Japanese PSN id.

now how do I sign on japanase network , by using UK Id i created to get in HOME originally as i have all profile and things bought at HOME stored at UK id , i.e kyro1234 , my japanese psn id is kyrojp .

if i sign into HOME as kyrojp, wont it just create NEW profile and i wont be able to merge/transfer things bought at japanese home with my UK id.

Sorry for making my question all messy, hope someone understands me and help me out here.

No, what you want to do is this.

Log into Japanese account, go to the store, click the first link, then second icon along is the Namco Home Museum Beta.

Download it.

Log back into your normal account, then load the Namco Museum from the XMB. I think you then need to get high scores in the games which unlocks stuff in Home - T-shirts/caps/the actual games machines shown on the page before, etc.

So here's the list of unlockables.

Male

* Namco Cap

* 5 t-shirts

* 1 pair of pants

Female

* 5 t-shirts

* 1 pair of shorts

* 1 ugly as sin pair of shoes

Homespace deco stuff

* 4 arcade cabinets

* 1 pooka statue

* 1 Namco chair

* 1 four in one table top arcade cabinet. (gives you the option to select from the four games)

Which makes a grand total of 21 items to unlock.

Those Namco games look interesting, do we know if they are going to come over to us on the English speaking areas at any time in the future?

LOL I can just see Corris now staying in for new year sitting in the PS3 Home countdown, so he can get his "I spent New Year in Home" Trophy unlock :p

When reading I was going to post "OMG I know where I will be for New Years".

But it seems you beat me to it, lol.

No idea :/

Why wait but? Just make a Japanese account and download them. They're region free!

Why wait but?

You calling me a but? :p

I have a Japanese account, lol, It would take very little effort to do it, I was just wondering.

Have you done it yourself?

Yeah!

Unlocked some stuff, going into Home to see now!

Hope it's the Pacman tshirt :p

The Home Museum shows you what you've still to unlock.

Cool.

I will have to look later, I've got tons of work to do for the next 3 days and then Uni brakes up, woo!

She'll have commandeered your PS3, happened to my DS last year with stupid brain training.

I wouldn't mind, but she was wanting to communicate with the headset, and I was like NO, text input only :p

My mum just sat and played a game of chess with my avatar, she won!

Woot :p

Sad thing is, she thinks Home is "cool" :laugh:

lol!

When will she be on-line. :shiftyninja:

I jest, I'm assuming she isn't like the other parents that think the internet is inherently evil and such things as Home will lead you to meeting some 40 year old bloke looking for buttsecks? :p

I wouldn't mind, but she was wanting to communicate with the headset, and I was like NO, text input only tongue.gif

Let her make a female avatar and put the had set on, then that will show her why she doesn't want to do either of them.

Hey I am 40 :( and whats wrong with "In the butt in the butt".....

juss kidding :) .. but i am 31 =|

lol!

Haha she was just wanting to be polite and say thanks for the game of chess, not really run around talking to people.

Nah, my parents use the internet often, they know it isn't "evil", unless you go looking for buttsecks :shiftyninja:

I am downloading this and I am not sure is this the one or not.

It is not released yet, most of the stuff mentioned in the articles should appear tomorrow with the full release of Home.

Damn, this mean Home is getting updated? it took hours just to install it the first time, I don't think I can put up waiting hours for it to update again :/ I am really really disappointed with PSN in general, it's so damn slow! it takes about 4 hours to download a ~70Mb file, it's unacceptable...still I guess it's what you get what you pay nothing for it :p

That's gotta somehow be your issue.

People have varying speeds, but I've never seen anyone say it takes 4 hours to download 77mb - That's practically 56k speeds, genuinely. Either your ports aren't open for PSN or your ISP is capping PSN somehow.

4 hours for 77mb isn't right, regardless of what the hecklers say :/

I don't know, the 360 and PCs in my home download quite fast..even my iPod downloads (wirelessly) quicker the the PS3. Also I've tried putting the PS3 in a DMZ with no effect and tried a wired connection and is just as bad :/ if the issue isn't with Sony, then the only other thing I can think of is my ISP is intentionally throttling PSN traffic and it's #%#@ annoying! :(

EDIT: Someone on the official PlayStation forums suggested entering the internet settings manually, rather then letting the PS3 auto detect it might fix the issue. I'll give that a go when I get home tonight. It seems this is a common problem, while most people find PSN faster then XBL, there are a few people (like me) where it's unbearably slow...
