Heroes Volume 4 : Fugitives

Recommended Posts

Hey All,

As most of you know last week Kristin at E! Online reported that a Heroes star wanted off the show, but the key was that NBC might not let them out of their contract.

Of course this opened the doors to debate who she was hinting at and why?

Well apparently during the Red Carpet tonight at the Golden Globes, Kristin reported that BOTH Hayden Panettiere and Ali Larter have asked off the show!?

I did not see this myself, but this was sent in via Rebel a reader of the site, if anyone else has seen this or has the actual video, please let us know.

What do you all think!?

Here is what Kristin apparently said:

"I have to tell you, we have some breaking TV news. It seems to me that all of our favorite stars are jumping ship. Okay. Now, we've heard that T.R. Knight on "Grey's Anatomy" has asked out of his contract and maybe leaving at the end of this season.

He's not the only one. Okay. "Heroes" sources are now telling me that one of the two biggest stars. Biggest names on the show, so we're either talking Hayden or...or...Ali Larter will be leaving the show because they've asked off the show. So now NBC has not yet decided if they're going to let them out of it."

Kristen then goes to talk about another actor on another show I don't

know about. Then closes with:

"I hope I can talk some of these TV stars to stay with their shows."

Waits to hear the millions of fans screaming "NO!" to this news....

Oh, nevermind then

I don't want to see Claire go but even I have to admit her story as gone as far as it could.

I don't know why you guys want to see either of them go. I'd much rather have better writing for them then see them gone. As we have seen in the past, both Ali and Hayden are good actresses when given good material.

Also, even if you get rid of them that doesn't mean they won't replace them with characters just as bad... or even worse and they won't even have the advantage of being established on the show.

As long as we don't get any more alejandros I don't care

I agree that the writing for them was poor for the last two seasons for their characters, but their usefulness and effectiveness has expired.

Larter has been nothing but the show's slut since day one. She mostly had a use in season one, but two and three were just crap for her character.

Hayden, similarly to Larter, had a use in season one, but in the last two season's, she's had a central role in the grand scheme of things only because Hayden became a better known actress.

Enough is enough, they have served their purpose for the show, and now it's time to move on. Actually, that can be said of several of the cast members, but this is mostly due to the poor writing for the last two seasons. Replacing them with equally useless/annoying characters would only hurt the show even more than the current cast already has.

I agree, the writers have done a really poor job with Larter's character and if I were her I would for sure want off the show. They should've never droped DL and Her. The whole "family of heroes" aspect could have played out well. Instead they bring her back as a f**king long lost sister? Hayden's Claire on the other hand I don't think is two far from reality. There are some more extreme moments with her. Overall though, I think she has reacted pretty much like I would have expected someone 16 to react to finding out she pretty much cant die and on top of that that her father is not only an agent who huts down people just like her but is also a killer and has lied to her most of her life.

As a part of her weekly spoilers post, Kristin at E! Online says that when Heroes returns for Volume 4 Fugitives, Peter will "take" Mohinder's super strength ability to escape a "hairy situation".

Now Kristin uses the word "take", so I have no idea if she means takes the ability literally. Meaning Mohinder will no longer have an ability, but I am assuming this means Peter will just gain the ability by absorbing.

Now what could this "hairy situation" be!? Well we know from previous spoilers that Peter will try to save the Heroes while on the transport plane and that Mohinder is on the plane also. So perhaps that is why and when Peter will absorb the ability!?

Part 5, The Recruit: Truth Within is now online. Seems to be the last of this series. More curiously is which woman might Angela be calling at the very end? Perhaps another key to knowing what Angela's role in this season is, considering we have not heard much about her yet. Could it be Tracy (judging by the long nails) or someone we have yet to meet? It would make sense if it was Tracy since we already got a little scoop earlier suggesting Nathan turns on her and she ends up on the fugitive plane

No its Leona who is Rachels mum, the one who had the ability she couldn't control so she committed suicide

Easter Egg

Question: Got any good intel on Heroes, specifically Sylar? -- Edward

Ausiello: Zachary Quinto just shot the episode that introduces his real dad, played by John Glover, and he offers this critique: "He was the perfect choice," gushes TV son Zachary Quinto. "The only downside was that we shot our scenes outside in a tarpaulin shack and it was pouring rain for two days, so we were literally slogging through mud. The logistics weren't that great, but the experience was. It traded off in the end."

Question: What are the chances of there being a fourth season of Heroes? -- Tim

Ausiello: Zachary Quinto is cautiously optimistic. "I don't make those decisions," he says. "I'm certainly hopeful. I'd love to be a part of the show for as long as it exists, but I feel like there's so much transition at NBC and in the industry right now that I really don't know. Those decisions are best left to others."

er, just to point out something, whilst speculating on who's gonna be written off the show is great, provide some evidence as least that suggests their disappearance. for instance: claire or peter would be understandable because of their healing powers, however i really hope that it's not a fake death.

Ali Larter would be my first guess though, simply because they could easily bring her back as the third sister (if they do I shall have to cut my wrists.) And despite what some people have said on the forum, her name I believe was the biggest upon the launch of the series, and I believe it was mentioned in several E! Articles as such. I'll try and find the sources.

But if it is Ali then I doubt they're going to bring her back. Because the article from E! doesn't say that a character will be killed, rather that a cast-member is leaving, therefore meaning that not only will the character leave but the actor/tress will not be returning to show. So if it's Ali, thank god, because as I already said, she's just getting annoying.

Otherwise I'd agree, Claire is becoming a bore, and Noah's part, ever since he went "rogue" is also diminishing. Honestly, very few members of the original cast still have roles worth bringing back. Furthermore, the interview with the creators, wherein they stated that the show is "open-ended" is not a good sign for this TV Series. The first season was fantastic. Since, the ratings and views have declined, and I wouldn't be surprised if it gets canceled before they even write an ending. It's unfortunate, but that's kinda what happens when you don't plan ahead.

If the series wants to survive, however, I think they should resort to what they HAD originally planned, with a shifting cast. Ok, so the public has really grown to like several cast members, such as Matt and Hiro and even Sylar as an anti-hero, but having a shifting cast doesn't mean that you can't bring back other members. The show has reached a point in time wherein it's no longer about the abilities of the people, rather the lives of the people themselves. There are, apparently, tons of people with abilities in 'their world', and the show could easily re-draft and adopt a whole new line up of characters. It would be, almost, reverting to the original series. Then, as we learn more about the new characters, old characters might be brought back on. The biggest problem right now is that the writers are limiting the script to the original 12-14 characters, and the people that they are writing in are pointless and a waste of time to watch (Maya and Alejandro). It's gotten absurd, and like Smallville before this, I think I'm going to have to stop watching.

    • Uhm, that's every business ever, though. It doesn't matter if a bajillion users are using it. As long as it's not making bank, it's probably headed for the graveyard.

    • Samsung is the new Google... they don't care if millions of people are using it.
    • Still no word on Tides of Annihilation...... so weird that it wasn't shown at the big Game Fest. Guess I'll put it in the bin like Judas and Squadron 42.
    • Samsung is shutting down yet another app used by millions by David Uzondu Samsung has announced that it is shutting down Samsung Max, its VPN service used by more than 50 million people, effective today. Samsung Max VPN, if you don't know, was an Android app born on February 23, 2018, out of the ashes of Opera Max, a very popular data-saving VPN that Opera had discontinued the previous year. Samsung bought the discontinued service, rebranded it, and added a native Samsung UI to fit the Galaxy ecosystem. The app could do things like compress images, help you manage background data on a per-app basis, reduce video data consumption, shrink music files, optimize webpages, block advertisement trackers in incognito mode, and encrypt your internet traffic on public Wi-Fi networks. Image via SammyGuru If you open the app now, you'd be greeted by a shutdown banner warning that all VPN, data saving, and privacy services stopped functioning on June 15, 2026. The creators failed to provide a reason for the shutdown, instead publishing a farewell note that read: "Thank you for being with us over the years. Your support and activity truly meant a lot to us and helped shape this app into what it became." This same message appears on the Google Play Store listing for the app as well. Max VPN is the latest service from Samsung to join the list of discontinued applications from the company. Just two months ago, the Korean tech giant announced that it is completely shutting down Samsung Messages, forcing millions of users to migrate to Google Messages by next month. The only devices that the shutdown won't affect are older smartphones running Android 11 or lower. Some of the features of Google Messages that Samsung hopes will entice users include AI-powered scam detection to block suspicious links, integrated Gemini AI tools to generate quick replies, custom chat bubbles, and universal RCS compatibility for sharing high-quality media with iOS users. The platform also offers seamless syncing across tablets and smartwatches. In addition to that, users gain access to message scheduling, smart classification, and automated category sorting.
