Heroes Volume 4 : Fugitives

Recommended Posts

everytime i watch heroes im still amazed at Hayden Panettiere, same age as me and just blown away by her acting abilities... lol wish i had talent like that. (don't we all tho)

less than 6 hours :D gunna be sweet. The teasers for the episode have me excited.

im hooked for the season lol no doubt in my mind after that show.... why couldn't they start off the season with a 2 episode type deal? :(

anyone else surprised and curious as to how claires dad got mixed back into the whole contain everyone plan again?! I coulda sworn he was done with it he said last season or something to that extent! (that being horned glass' dad ;) )

Now THAT was an episode of Heroes.

Loved the entire last 10 minutes or so, really starts to set the rest of the volume up nicely. And the preview for next week looks awesome (though I'm pretty sure some of those scenes were from later episodes)

Nice to see Suresh isn't a dumbass anymore though, maybe they won't screw up his storyline to much more this volume now :D

They ****ing botched Peter's power, now he needs direct contact like his father, or he also has that ability now? So now he can fly, super strength, can heal... and should hopefully have the powers of everyone else on that plane since he's a nurse and will try to help them all. He did touch one other person on the plane, but not sure who, maybe the person who got ejected out of the plane... He again doesn't seem to understand the powers he has and they still appear to occur based on need/thought, perhaps he'll retrain himself better.

It doesn't look like he steals the powers, just learns them, as Suresh had the super strength to get out of his own restraints (plus no one screamed or was in discomfort when he touched them). I hope there are some people on that plane with useful powers, perhaps the guy with a room full of sea water or whatever, and hopefully others... Peter needs to get jacked up to Sylar's level

I wonder what Ando's effect on Peter would be now. I am guessing they tweaked his power to allow Hiro's power to return, but slightly tweaked (i.e. no time travel, but he can teleport to different places or slow down time)

Felt really slow for the most part, uber predictable

Going by what we saw in the show, Nathan wouldn't know that his dad stole his power, but Nathan did know he is someone that had an ability at one point, so take no chances.

No it was taken from him in the past, only his memory was taken from him in Africa.

Doh, that's true. I try to erase the 2nd and 3rd volume from my memory because of how awful they were, so some details will be fuzzy :D

All I know is, Sylar kicked some ass in this episode, hell even Peter started to whale on some normals heh. They seriously need more scenes like those.

Oh and Peter touched Ali Later's character and absorbed her "ice" power. And Suresh hanging on to Peter with his fingers was very well done. You know, the whole "they have to work toegether" thing. I just sorta got a Lost vibe from the preview though, now that I think about it. Bleech.

    • Nice, hope they *finally* fixed the issue with the NTFS driver where the system would completely brick during large file copies using the built in driver. It's been broken for years requiring me to use the older, slower, NTFS-3G FUSE driver.
    • Windows 11 KB5094126 BSODing, freezing, forcing BitLocker lockout, breaks OneDrive, and more by Sayan Sen Microsoft released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 last week as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. While Microsoft has so far not acknowledged any major problems with the release, some users online are running into problems. These range from OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. The most common one seems to be happening with HP systems wherein affected users say they hit 0xc0430001 BSOD (blue screen of death) error code after the KB5094126 update. We wonder if this could be related to the recent bug we covered on HP devices wherein the ongoing Secure Boot certificate updates are leading to similar issues. While we are not certain, users affected by this issue likely need to ensure that the boot.stl file is included on the installation media (such as a USB installer or ISO), if the above-mentioned dynamic updates are deployed. If this file is missing, computers may fail to boot from the installation media and could display the error 0xc0430001. This STL file is used by Secure Boot to verify that the boot files are trusted, so it must match the same Windows version and system architecture. To ensure the file is included, Microsoft recommends using the Update WinPE script, which automatically updates the image and handles the required files. Alternatively, you can manually copy the boot.stl file from the Windows\Boot\EFI folder on a Windows device and place it in the matching folder on your installation media before deploying the updated image. Aside from blue screening some users also note their systems have been freezing following the update. This could be happening to Lenovo PCs specifically. In the case of the OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, a user figured out that there could be a conflict with UAC. He explained: "Okay, so I did some digging, and in our environment KB5094126 breaks OneDrive and Dropbox in Explorer. I went through all our GPOs and found out that the combination of disabling UAC and having my user being a local admin breaks OneDrive in Explorer. ... If I enable UAC again, then it works, even with KB5094126 still installed." Hopefully, Microsoft will look into these issues. • It is when it's a desktop in my house though for a PC that's lightly used and not really important when it is. If it was a laptop, it would be a different story. The real solution is varied and begins starting at post #22 in that thread.
