Heroes Volume 4 : Fugitives

How far this show has fallen for me. I'm not 'excited' for it at all. I'll watch, but I'm not awaiting its return.

I feel the same. I watch it when I remember it's on, but I don't go out of my way to make sure I watch it. It's turned to crap, IMO.

It has been said in the past that peter can only use one of his powers at a time. Anyway was a great episode, cant wait to see what they have in store for us the rest of the season.

Can only USE one at a time. But now he can only POSSESS one at a time.

Which is also flawed, because he has at least two. The leech ability and whatever ability he has.

I have to say I never noticed him losing one and then replacing it with something else, didn't Nathan say "what powers have you used" or something like that so he must know.

He said 'what can you do these days'.

Peter was just as stunned as anyone that the strength went away. Look at his reaction when he got knocked down.

Dude, there has been one episode, stop spouting it as fact when you don't know it as fact. I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm saying you could be wrong. Also, when he grabs mohinder's hand as he is about to fall out of the plane wouldn't he have regained the strength power?

Great episode. No complaints on my end. Everything seemed to go pretty smoothly. I hate how they are making Ando's character get all full of himself though.

On a Directors note, how the hell did they miss the africans staff on his shoulders or on his side in the shots. Go back to where matt is talking with the african, and you will notice his staff goes from on shoulders to off shoulders multiple times , back and forth, between each shot that he isnt in. Was either put in for a trip effect or just horrible direction and editing lol.

And peter can use more than 1 power, because he still had strength after blowing the hull open. If not, i dont think he could keep hanging onto the rope while the metal clamps were breaking... if the metal claps were giving way, peter would have been sucked through long before without the super strength. Remember, he doesnt use his powers all by thought, but normally by emotion.

Ummm He was stunned because he had no Idea he can now mimic the Ice ability and started to freeze the side of the plane. Wouldnt you be a little suprised as well? This has been one episode, and although there are flaws, it would not make sense to have peter only be able to have one power at a time. I'm still standing ground saying he can absorb multiple powers just as before (although perhaps acquired differently). Its just in that situation it was a little iffy. At this point it is still only speculation, no one can 100% say how his powers work now.

It is established already. So what its only one episode? You can clearly see it happen.

He touches Tracy, then punches the guy. He barely recoils from it. Before, he was flying halfway across the plane. Then Peter gets knocked down and freezes the plane.

I'm not sure about Mohinder touching him. Claire touches him and he doesn't leech her ability, so it appears Peter has to initiate contact. The two people he touched, he took their abilities.

Mohinder still has his ability, because he got himself out of the chair. So Peter doesn't take it away from the person.

He clearly doesn't have the strength once he takes the freezing ability. How else would you explain that he punches the guard in the face and the guard is unaffected?

Only part I found funny, was the black guy in the apartment. His staff (stick) was on his neck one scene, than was on the floor / in his hand, and back on his neck. It did it a few times actually :p

ya lyle, thats what I was talking about. What was up with that? trip effect or horrible editing?

The clips were breaking due the weight and force of Peter being on the lines, and being pulled back. Not directly from the suction.

I think they did that intentionally. At least I hope so.

thats a cargo net, which I would believe is made to be able to support hundreds of pounds normally. This is a force that pulled a chair out of the frame and sucked it out. These weren't some crappy metal clips. They obviously had strength. And to be able to hold onto that for so long, would take even more strength. Same with people able to hold fingertips through something like that.

There's nothing of substantial proof that peter cant have more than 1 power still stored in him. It would be going far too off on a limb to guess that he can only have 1 at a time now. I believe he can still gather powers up, because they have to have someone who can fight sylar. And i dont think we want peter running around poking everyone during that fight lol.

Nothing is clear about it at all dude. Plus, if you go back to the end of volume 3 where he injects himself he is flying before he touches Nathan. So again, stop talking in fact when you don't know it as fact. Just because you see something someway doesn't make it fact.

I already pointed that out as what is going to be a continuity error.

Same question as I asked shakey. If he has strength, why didn't he hurt the guard when he punched him?

If you remember, Kring and others talked about how they made the people too powerful. Sylar, Peter, and Hiro were the examples of those. Hiro has no ability now. Peter is neutered. Keeping Sylar with powers is fine, since hes the bad guy and they are supposed to have an advantage.

Maybe because he had just taken on the frost ability and was in shock and or using that ability and thus could also not have been using strength at the same time? Remember when peter learns new ability's he doesn't always learn how to use them right away, he isn't sylar :)

Right, thats why he froze the side of the plane.

But if he still had flying, why wouldn't he have flown out of the plane?

Right, thats why he froze the side of the plane.

But if he still had flying, why wouldn't he have flown out of the plane?

He's a hero. He doesn't want to leave anyone there. If he gets sucked out, he doesn't know if they will live the crash, or if he would even be able to maybe find them. Probably also not really thinking straight as to the plane crashing is pretty intense. Peter doesn't run man, you know this.

We don't know for sure if he can only get one ability at a time... I seriously hope that's not the case... Maybe they want all the characters to be important, but out of all the characters in the show, Peter is the only true and pure "Hero".

As of right now, Peter is still learning his ability. How he figured out he needed to touch Mohinder had super strength and needed to touch his hand to absorb the power remains puzzling. Going back to when the season finale for volume 3 where the Peter flew Nathan out of the building, Petar just took jumped toward Nathan just to try to push them both out the window but then the flying ability was absorbed and kicked in immediately. Based on that, maybe Peter that is how he learned he had to touch Mohinder first (but still doesnt explain how he knew his superstrength ability). When he was fighting and touched Tracy, he was stunned at why he lost the superstrength and gained the freezing ability. So now, this sets the stage for Peter knowing he can only absorb one ability at a time.

Teamwork is the main theme they are to shape since Peter will need to stay close to as many others to have access to as many abilities as possible. Who knows, maybe he just needs to learn the ability some more to hold multiple abilities, or it seems more likely now that Ando's supercharging ability can give Peter the ability to have multiple powers temporarily. Speaking of Ando, he should be hunting down Hiro over the next few episodes.

Good episode with quite a few flaws as to how things happen. Overall it sets up for an interesting season.

    • If you can't spell a simple word that 2nd graders learn, your entire argument is suspect.
    • And here goes the "Won't someone think of the children" brigade. Get stuffed mate. This has NOTHING to do with making the internet safe. It's about tracking adults, spying on your online activity, and sending the boys around when they don't like something you post. Also, again, parliament have voted TWICE against this, and Starmer is going ahead anyway. THAT is anti-democratic bullsh**. They will use this law to track you, they will use this law to control you, and they will use this law to punish you if they don't like what you do, even if it's legal. And your data? Say bye bye to that. It'll be on the darkweb in weeks. I'm not some rando online. I've been an IT professional for 40 years, many of it in security. I know exactly what this means and what will happen to your data. I do not consent and I will not comply.
    • "...but it may not be Microsoft's fault" seems like a reasonable way to tease what is going on without leaving the user with a false impression that an update is the problem. A title isn't a summery, it is meant to entice the user to read the article. It should not contain a misleading premise; which this title does not. You could maybe complain that the first paragraph should have included that detail. The writing style popularized over 100 years ago in newspapers will cover the most important information as soon as possible with details and nuance added later; the idea being that with each new paragraph you have less of the reader's focus.
    • Samsung Galaxy XR arrives in the UK with new AI and enterprise features by Fiza Ali Samsung is bringing its Galaxy XR headset to the UK several months after the device made its debut as the first headset built on Google's Android XR platform. The headset was first teased in late 2024 alongside Google's introduction of Android XR before making its commercial debut in 2025. Developed in collaboration with Google and Qualcomm, Galaxy XR combines mixed reality experiences with Gemini-powered AI features, allowing users to interact with digital content using voice, gestures, and visual inputs. While the hardware itself remains largely unchanged from the version Samsung unveiled last year, the company is using the UK launch to spotlight several software enhancements that have arrived through recent updates. Among the most notable additions is deeper integration with Google's ecosystem. Galaxy XR users can explore destinations through Google Maps' Immersive View, receiving AI-powered recommendations and contextual information from Gemini while navigating virtual environments. Furthermore, entertainment experiences have also expanded; users can watch 180-degree and 360-degree videos on YouTube, browse spatial content converted into 3D, and ask Gemini questions about on-screen content without interrupting playback. Samsung is also highlighting mixed-reality features such as Circle to Search, which allows users to identify real-world objects through hand gestures while using the headset's video pass-through mode. Another feature automatically converts photos and videos into spatial 3D experiences. Moreover, the headset now also supports Android Enterprise, allowing organisations to manage deployments using existing Android management tools. Annika Bizon, Vice President, Product and Marketing, Mobile Experience, Samsung UK & Ireland, talked about the device, stating: The headset is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 platform and features dual 4K Micro-OLED displays. The tech giant says that users can expect up to 2.5 hours of battery life. Samsung also confirmed that Galaxy XR will continue receiving software and security updates as the company works alongside Google and Qualcomm to expand the Android XR ecosystem. Galaxy XR is now available for pre-order and will go on sale on 8 July. Customers interested in trying the headset before launch can visit Samsung KX in London and selected Samsung Experience Stores from 17 June. Finally, the company will also host a livestream on 19 June showcasing the headset's capabilities and answering questions from prospective customers.
