You'd think that with it being MS and all, they'd have some idea of server structure and how to maintain, even for massive demand.

For instance, if 2.5m keys are available, have resources for 2.5m+ people trying to get keys. Surely that makes sense.

Good for you! Now they can stop working on the Beta issue and take time out of their day to read your whining.

I'm sure they will hand-deliver a key to your door with their most sincere apology for any inconvenience their free beta software may have caused you.

ROFL!!!

Calm down. Take a deep breath. Good. Now, copy and paste the link into the address bar instead of just clicking the link. Bam, it works.

I think you keep missing the point. In a nutshell, MS is one of the biggest corporations in the world. It's an absolute joke that they have never been able to deliver on time since the dawn of civilization. Windows is the single most important piece of software in the world and shapes every single one of our daily lives. Because of their monopoly, if you want a computer like everyone else has, you have to take whatever they shove up your ***. That is why we are so ****ed that they can' t even deliver a public beta without their servers crashing when they have 100 to the 100000 exponent resources to make this work correctly and like i said, it's an absolute joke that they can't.

all i see here is WAAAAAHHHHH WAAAAHHHH !!!

I think you keep missing the point.

No, you're missing the point.

It's a free limited beta. It's not critical or even necessary if you get it. Stop acting like a child yelling "MIKKKRO$$$OFT!!!!!!!!" and get over yourself. Sorry they don't actually have the "infinite" resources (that cost money, mind you,) you thought they had.

Better go ahead an make that appointment with your doctor to check on those worn out vocal cords you will have by the end of the day.

And its amazing how people complain about free software, or anything free in general. It's FREE. The person or company providing it has no obligation to do anything for you at all to begin with so complaining to them is not going to change anything. I am sure they already are well aware of the inconvenience, hence the post on their windows blog sort of apologizing for the delay.

Calm down Mr.Serious! :D

Look up about 6 posts above yours, I left a link that WORKS to Microsoft that is direct.

I finally managed to get a key so they still appearing to spontaneously work, (the x64 key link, though i'm sure the 32 bit one works too), my persistence has paid off, time for bed I think

Edit: Sorry for Griffin, the https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/pr...us/default.aspx link worked

i Sent em a letter of complaint for having to wait and not ofering a new schedule to when it will be available, also for only allowing to get 2.5mil keys, thats why the traffic is high and we can't download it.

This just boggles my mind.

They're attempting to provide wildly popular software for free and hosting downloads of the software (also for free) and you're complaining?

Getting the download isn't the problem its the key that is the issue. and yes there are several cracks but who wants a crack when you can have a legit install for free :)

Agreed. Exactly the reason why all of us are waiting to get a key to begin with, otherwise it wouldn't matter. But, just in case some of us do not get one in time, good to know there are working patches. Personally, since the feedback works without activating, I might just use the rearm code a few times and hope RC gets released before time is up.

    • Apple are scared of their customers! They have built a brand over the years of "it just works out of the box", but that slows innovation. Samsung's master stroke was the Galaxy Ultra: "Let's cram everything into one handset, make it so stupid only real nerds will love it, some of the features will work, some won't, but the audience will have such a high tolerance they won't care". Apple has no such device and so they are constantly worrying these days about the fallout of creating a new experience that customers might not like. I know it is often cited the reason they don't build a touchscreen Mac Book is they don't want to cannibalise the the iPad market, but I think it's equally cold feet after the criticism Microsoft receive trying to make a touch compatible desktop OS

    • So, an article that has nothing to do with Windows 11, still gets Windows 11 in the title and a build number as the picture? Dell have a buggy build of Support Assist HP have UEFI settings that need unlocking for the secureboot cert upgrade to take place.
    • What I can't seem to understand is that Google are paying SpaceX? Surely it would be the other way round, with SpaceX needing Google's datacenters etc.? Oh well, this level of money and power is way outside of my comprehension at the best of times.
