I have noticed that ubuntu and kubuntu seem to be getting a bit more buggy of late, which is a shame as I consider them to be the easiest linux distributions to use.

+1

A fresh 10.10 setup constantly crashes apps on my end...

It's not funny anymore... Firefox constantly gets dimmed due to it hanging and then getting back on its feet again after a short time....

Is 10.04 any better?

It's always been buggy for me, and that is why I prefer distros based on Ubuntu rather than Ubuntu itself. Linux Mint, Peppermint OS, and Pinguy are three distros that I can think of right off hand that really improve the Ubuntu experience.

I only used Kubuntu 10.04 and that was really buggy as well. Linux is still awful on ATI graphics cards, even after the open sourcing of their drivers.

I use Linux only as a secondary OS in an USB stick , Linux lacks too much essentials features for me to use it as my main OS

Wouldn't set it first system here either...

Mac OS X does the job for me and I'm happy about that.
