Heroes of Newerth may have similarities to the Dawn of War 2 games but they're quite different.

HoN isn't free.. last I checked (a month ago) you had to pay to play it.

Edit: And it seems I was wrong, it's recently gone free to play in limited ways.

I love this game, but i didnt get retribution because its Steam only and i so hate steam, it looked cool, saddly they ruined it with so many changes.

they are 2 different kind of games. not only because HoN is online and DoW 2 has campaign and multiplayer stuff.

but they really arent he same, its like saying I dont want soda because i can get water for free.

yeah they have similar stuff, but all i can say its Dawn of war 2 isnt Dota. now its base based, and not building based, which means you just dont need to build buildings.

but the system is the same, Strategic Point System, and you gain resources and such. and then you can of course get units like the first warhammer 40k.

single player even has rpg stuff on it.

of course they will have similar stuff but in the end they are completely different as well.
