Hey guys, a little update :)

Since I have been quite busy lately (school, blame the teachers!), so development is 'on hold'. I'll probably release a new version once Firefox 3.6 goes final, but before that you shouldn't really expect any more updates.

Sorry if it's a bit of a disappointment, but since I took on the organization of our prom (for almost 400 people) I'm kinda extra busy the coming weeks so yea...

Thanks for your support :)

Another little update!

Since my PSU has suddenly stopped working and I'm waiting for a new one, it might be a while before I release an update for 3.6 (if there even are any problems, I haven't got a clue atm).

thanks for your interest ;)

Ambroos 'bad luck' Vaes!

...when I have 'browser.tabs.closeButtons' in about:config set to 3 (Creates a single close button to the right of "List all tabs" drop-down and removes the close buttons from the tabs), the background of the single close button isn't glassed.

Also, I figured out how to skin the single close button at the far right of the tab strip (When you set browser.tabs.closeButtons=3 in about:config). Modify line 33 of overlay.css from

.tabs-alltabs-button {

to

.tabs-alltabs-button, .tabs-closebutton {

I'm a bit saddened that the issue I brought up over six months ago, and even found a simple fix for, has yet to be resolved.

Hai guys!

After much quiet contemplation while my PC was out of order I've decided to not provide any more support for this addon for the time being. It has been surpassed by many others, and even the original Glasser works with the new versions of Firefox again. I'm confident you'll find another addon to suit you.

Personally, I've moved over to Google Chrome since I just can't resist the speed and didn't use many other Firefox addons.

Sorry if this is a disappointment to you guys, but I've got quite a lot on my mind and I'm just unable to continue with this addon!

And really, HUGE thanks to everyone who use(d) this addon, made suggestions, helped me fixing bugs, ... I love you all!

Surpassed? Whodunnit? No way, man. Yours is the best Glasser mod there is. There's a mod or two even based on yours, but I don't like what they did to it. Just because Glasser got bumped doesn't mean yours is obsolete. I tried out Chrome myself and I agree it is darn fast, but I miss my Firefox extensions. So long and thanks for all the fish! If you decide to work on All-Glass again, I'll be here. :D

Another one enters the Darkside, Google Chrome :cry:

No worries, it's already starting to annoy me

In a few weeks I'll probably be back on this addon but I've been quite sick etc and school is currently TONS of work (I really wonder if teachers have a life) so it might be a while.

Good thing Spotify has lots of prozacmusic!

Later guys ;)

Hey everyone!

I'm back in Firefox! After all it still looks the best with my addon and doesn't have those small annoying quirks Chrome has.

This also means that this addon is back 'in development'. I've had many requests and suggestions, or people asking me to merge this addon with something else. I won't be adding any real extra functionality. This addon is really meant to be just basic install-and-forget. Adding extra options etc isn't what this is here for.

If anyone has some Stylish code that makes the tabs look better or something similar, and you'd like to 'contribute' it to my addon, just throw it in the thread and I'll have a look :) I'm not the best at Styling Firefox.

I suggest poking around userstyles.org and using whatever code you like if you find something and giving credit to the author if you end up using it. That's what everyone else does, and I've never seen anyone have a problem with it. No harm in asking of course, but not everyone monitors their comment pages apparently. Everything about Firefox is open source, don't worry about permission to use someone else's code. Aso take a look at the other glass add-ons to see if they figured out something you hadn't yet. I can't wait to see what you come up with next! :D

I'm stopping work on All-Glass, and advising everyone to switch over to AeroBuddy.

It has way better compatibility and since I lack the knowledge to fix my own addon, I think it's the best thing to do :)

You'll notice that there are a lot less toolbar errors and similar things that will break the look of your Firefox.

Thanks for everyone who stayed/stays with All-Glass :)

Here's the style I've made for myself. It has flat tabs, and fixes for the find bar, download statusbar, & web developer toolbar (to get the developer toolbar working requires some change to the addon too as I recall). You are free to use any bits of it or modify it however you like.

    • Got it. Seem like a good improvement. Thanks. But, before we "Add the source to Trusted Sites," how would know if it is trusted or not? Could get messy for not first Knowing" it is clean. See what I mean?
