I get this too, but on my geforce3 ti500. Also I can run the game perfectly fine on 1600X1200X32 with full everything and it works really well but when there is a helicopter near to the ground and you get the wind effect from the rotors it goes all slow. Does anyone else get this and can u fix it?

p.s. I have the 1.1 patch as well and it still does it.

have you installed the 1.1 patch?

LOl it is impossible with the keyboard, i am going to buy a controller just for it :(

i can't even get past the one where you have to plant the bombs to blow up that building >:o

I beat it first try.. I dont understand what the fuss is about. I guess I could post some tips.

Do the mission once, but dont pick up bombs. Just go through the building and find where all of the drop zones are for the bombs. Then, restart the mission and take a bomb doing the first floor, then second etc. in order. If you get too many people chasing you, set the helicopter down and tilt it towards the group of people. This will cause them all to die, making it easier for you. You can take it slowly because you have enough time. I finished it with 1:30 left. Just take it slow and master the controls of the helicopter and you will be good.

the mission to bomb cubans boats with a mini rc plane is really frustrating!!!11

heh I actually love that mission so much I actually replayed it several times after I completed it.....I can bomb the cubans boats while they are still on the dock..2 runs and once for the guy getting away heh

i am having trouble getting the biker boys to join and protecting the concert. I gotta go a motorcycle race and the closest I came to finishing is second..

I just read the whole thread (in about 3 hours :omg: - 28.8k speeds for going over the download cap when i got a fake vc :().

I don't get the fuss about RC helicopter mission, I've only played VC once, on my friends PS2, and that was the only mission that I did, and I only did it in one attempt.

Well maybe the PC version is harder, I'm going to buy (yes people, this game is worth buying) it after exams :)

Indeed, I find it hard controlling the game using a PS pad (using one of those USB converter thingummybobs) as basically the right analogue stick seems to be the wrong way round (up/down is swapped with left/right and vice-versa) and no tinkering with the controls in the game or the game controller settings seems to fix it ... However playing on Classic control settings (in-game) seems to help, you just cant look around in game

Damn, that's the same problem I have :( and I can't find a way to reconfigure them either :(

At least its not just me then, overall tho, i find it a lot easier (even with Classic Controls) to control than with keyboard/mouse ... Never thought I would ever say that about any game

I'm having trouble with the one after this one where you have to cause as much mayhem as possible, just can't do it lol.

in regards to the motorcycle race do not use the bikes outside the biker club, there are 2 types of harley style bike and those are the slower ones of the two, that's the only advise i'd give, other than, if they tear off ahead of you keep playing the mission as they crash all the time when i do that mission, which leaves you catching up all the time :)

as for the RC chopper i just scouted the mission 1st to see where the bombs go then restarted the mission and worked from the top down, seemed easier this way :)

    • This makes me think of Dune for some reason.
    • I'm too old to return to the "good old days" when I was installing custom ROMs and tinkering with my devices - now I just want to turn it on and use it. I've read that banking and payment apps work on Murena /e/OS (I'll have to check the ones I use) and I also really want to support Fairphone 😉

    • NVIDIA announces 35 new AI HPC supercomputers across Europe by Fiza Ali NVIDIA has announced that 35 AI high-performance computing (HPC) supercomputers are planned to open throughout Europe this year. This marks what the company describes as the largest single-year expansion of AI infrastructure in the history of the continent. These new systems, unveiled at ISC High Performance 2026, will be placed at a number of national supercomputing centres, AI factories, and research institutes to provide advanced computing resources to more than three million researchers. Describing AI, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang stated, "AI is the new instrument of science, and Europe is building the infrastructure to put it in the hands of millions of researchers." Built on NVIDIA's Blackwell and Hopper architectures, the new systems will support research in climate science, healthcare, clean energy, quantum computing, and other scientific fields. Among the major projects are the Barcelona Supercomputing Center's MareNostrum 5 AI upgrade, BavariaAI's Blue Swan platform in Germany, Italy's IT4LIA AI factory, Germany's HammerHAI project, and Sweden's Mimer AI Factory. The Barcelona Supercomputing Center plans to expand MareNostrum 5 with NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 and GB200 NVL4 systems. In total, the BSC expects to deliver up to 20 exaflops of AI training performance and 33 exaflops of AI inference performance. This increased computational capability will support research efforts related to climate modelling, biotechnology, energy systems, etc. Furthermore, as part of the IT4LIA project, more than 8,000 GPUs, each based on NVIDIA’s GB200 NVL4 architecture, will be used in Italy. This represents one of the largest AI factory initiatives announced to date. Additionally, the Blue Swan platform from BavariaAI will include about 1,000 GPUs to help develop multimodal AI models for use in the medical field, robotics, and various areas of scientific research. NVIDIA also emphasized in the announcement how rapidly growth of accelerated computing usage is taking place within both energy and climate-related research. The company said Siemens Energy uses NVIDIA-powered technologies to significantly accelerate the process of designing and simulating hydrogen-capable gas turbines. Using those same acceleration technologies, Siemens was able to reduce simulation time by up to 77 percent. The company also highlighted several quantum computing initiatives across Europe. CINECA, EuroHPC, and Pasqal are integrating a quantum processing unit into Italy's CINECA supercomputing centre using NVIDIA's CUDA-Q platform. Meanwhile, researchers at Germany's Julich Supercomputing Centre recently simulated a universal 50-qubit quantum computer on the JUPITER supercomputer. The announcement demonstrates Europe's continued commitment to building out its infrastructure supporting AI and supercomputing as governments, research organizations, and technology companies compete to build out their respective computing capacities and secure their positions in advanced scientific research.
