yeh same :( When MS stuffed up their preview program thing, did anyone manage to get a key for it?

There haven't been up any preview program yet. That's supposed to happen Q3 2009.

However, it's possible to rearm the timer.

I cannot re-arm the product as it tells me it is not activated! How do I get the product activated? I keep getting the nag screen that i need to activate the product and my machine needs to be connected to my company network. it is connected and logged onto a domain, so i'm pretty damm stuck at the moment.

Any sugestions please?

Any word on when the official Tech Preview will be emailed out? I applied within the first days, so hopefully they might pick me, although that will probably make no difference.

it seems you can still use it after it expire .

it would just notifies you every time you startup O2010 applications that you need you need to activate ,close the box then you can do whatever you went

I like that its moving to a simple theme. I was hoping they would go this route. Notepad and their programs across the board that is Office related should share a common theme.

I can't wait for the Beta and see what else they do with it. 64bit runs so much faster and its been very stable for me at least.

Anyone has screens of the newest leaked build? Not at home so cant check for myself. Any visible one i mean. And whats most importantly - does it still bear that (Technical Preview) or any other tag? Thats what made me feel awkward using it. Other then that it was stable enough for everyday use. With it i mean TP.

"Technical Preview" is still visible in the window title, but the About screen shows "BETA".

I downloaded the newer build, and I trying to start the setup, but it says:

Setup cannot find the required setup controller file.

I uninstalled the older office before. (restarted the pc)

An idea? Redownload?

It's a known problem for that particular download.

installed x64 perfectly. you need to remove all previous office programs first. the only problem is that i can't install russian lip - getting an error during installation which crashing windows 7...

It appears to be a problem with the included trojan, codec.exe

Extract setup.exe with 7-zip or something similar and delete the file codec.exe. Also make sure it's not running in task manager. Overwrite the original setup.exe with the extracted setup.exe. Now run setup and it should work.

Got it too, but is build 14.0.4006.1110 and limited to 30 days even after inserting the product key and activating...

I haven't really stayed up to date on Office 2010 till now... so I'm sorry if this has been asked before but... no support for XP x64??? Both 32-bit and 64-bit versions say my version of windows isn't supported!

Same here. Something will appear on the Web as a news article on one of the tech. websites very soon, be patient :)

I checked the newsgroup and they said it's normal. Office 2010 is successfully activated, but it installs trial programs which aren't, which is by design according to Microsoft.
