Torres: 10 Assists since his arrival at Liverpool (07/08 to now)

Rooney : 26 Assists since Torres' arrival at Liverpool (07/08 to now)

I'd agree that Torres is a much, much better striker than Rooney, simply because he's an out and out striker - Rooney isn't. As much as Fergie will want him staying within the opposition's half, Rooney will always drop back and try and get on the ball as much as possible. And as his goal-scoring record is improving as he gets more freedom, he could even bag more goals this season than Torres

Football isn't basketball, stats don't hold the answer.

You never had a Ronaldo in your team, a guy who can score from everywhere, at every position. Without Ronadlo we already see the changes in Rooney. And he is a much more influencial player than Torres, he creates so many chances, he's giving so much on a pitch. I will never exchange one Rooney for a bag of Torres, and not because he is playing at Liverpool, though of course it matter in a way. ;)

and yet Owen is ok..

Ahhh Rooney, your Scouse 'hero'.

I think the questions of the chopping block for Zola will begin after this match if we lose. Things are certainly looking bleak. Upper management seems to be in a mess, I can't believe we have no money, let alone the fact that we don't seem to have the players to even put out a decent squad!

Was anyone listening to BBC Radio Five Live Sports Extra at around 16.35 today? It all went quiet on the commentary front, with just the crowd being heard in the background. Then suddenly you hear someone saying "Hello?" and then a man moaning as if he was crying like a kid. Was very weird indeed! They've played a message about having problems bringing the current program and then switched to a repeat interview between Simon Mayo and Robbie Coltrane.

West Ham really needs to sort it out and they need to do it soon!

on a side note I really, really hate the way chelsea plays! Even though they deserved that win they play such **** football! Would seriously rather watch paint dry :hmmm:

Hiddink got them playing defensively last season, and although they cocked it up a bit against Barcelona, they seem to have stuck with it. Have to be honest I would rather even Man United won the title, I seriously despise chelsea

the amount of shirt pulling that drogba endures i think he can afford a flop. liverpool's loss had nothing to do with luck.

Nope, we played crap and I am not trying to blame Drogba for that, I just think it was time somebody did something about his diving, and feigning injury

They played the same way ever since Mourinho's days.. Scolari tried to change that but it didn't work coz they lack the flare.. they have sparks.. I feel they are easy to break down.. I feel Rafa doesn't start with his best 11 and I feel Benayoun is one of them.. too early to say who will win the title but we ain't so bad either this season ;)

and Rooney too

On another note.. what a signing Vermaelen is turning out to be! His goal was crucial.. great goals all around.. and it was so nice to see Henry in Isinglton  "I belong here", he said.. man which of our defenders would I trade for Henry to play in center with Walcott and Arshavin :p

Also great to see Walcott score.. Bendtner's goal was crisp and Cesc kissing the badge was a message to the pres.. "SHUT UP abt me leaving to Barca already!"

This one was for the Arsene Wenger.. no doubt..

oh and I understand why Big Sam was upset at the end.. but refs do this in England.. they give advantage to the home side.. BB Rovers should've had that penalty.. but then Ade should've been sent off last month and Rooney yellow carded for that dive.. and so many more incidents where this happens.. time to bring in the replays.. I can't see why not?

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson questioned referee Alan Wiley's fitness after his side's 2-2 draw with Sunderland.

Anton Ferdinand's injury-time own-goal gave United a point, but it was Wiley's display that incurred Ferguson's wrath.

He said: "The pace of the game demanded a referee who was fit. He was not fit.

"You see referees abroad who are as fit as butcher's dogs. He was taking 30 seconds to book a player. He was needing a rest. It was ridiculous."

Ferguson twice headed towards the touchline during the second half to make his feelings known about decisions made by the officials.

I have been saying this for years, glad i'm not alone in thinking that

    • One reason it might be running hotter is dust build up within the cooling or perhaps the paste has dried out. You could always try repasting your old GPU and cleaning the cooler. Your experience in Linux will be much better with an AMD GPU; the performance in gaming is much closer to Windows than nVidia would be. I personally think on Windows, AMD drivers are junk.
    • I reviewed it back in March, but I didn't have a 5070 at the time https://www.neowin.net/reviews/amd-rx-9070-review-vs-rtx-5070-4070-and-rx-9070-xt-7800-xt--just-good-enough/ When I reviewed the 9070 I did have a 5070 to compare it against, so the scores are there for the 9070 XT. it outperforms the 5070 in raster, and is barely neck and neck in Ray Tracing. So it's better than a 5070 in everything but Ray Tracing where it is neck and neck, or just under. To be honest, the uplift from 3080 when it was new to the 9070 XT is not as great a step up. If you can find a used 4080 Super for around the same money, you would probably be better off, but if you only want to buy new then the 16GB 9070 XT is the best value for money in its category.
    • I really hope the author's health is ok. Squirreling away a official backup of this software. Looks like the internet archive already cached a copy as well - https://web.archive.org/web/20...ldbit-soft.fi/software.html
    • AMD is supported out of the box in linux because of their open source driver. Nvidia does not. All my systems are amd and all of them work nicely on linux arch without doing anything.
    • Never had a problem with TPM and started using that many years ago in Win10. Through several motherboards and OS versions, it just does what it does without complaint. My games library doesn't even know it's there. Secure boot does a lot more than support anti-cheat, as it came along long before anti-cheat software. I've used it religiously since before I started using TPM, and I always liked it for being able to nullify virus contagions that try their best to come in underneath the firmware during boot, so that the OS doesn't see them, etc. That is its purpose, imo. I'll never understand why people who elect to use another OS feel compelled to run down Windows... I guess they need to do that to feel secure about their choices? I run Windows because it supports all the software (including games) natively that I want to buy, and I've never had to run down another OS to make me feel better about it. (Although it's certainly possible to do that, of course...) Win10 is on a ventilator atm, and Win11 is very close to being free, and I finally got to stop running StartAllBack as I moved to the Experimental/Dev channel and my 26300.8553 build supports the moveable taskbar and it's running fine at the top of the screen! Finally, my last major dislike of Win11 is being rectified! So, I'm not at all surprised to see Win11's share of the Steam survey hitting 70%.
