these exclusive only bs has to stop.

At least its just challenge maps, nothing big. The whole Fallout (now fixed)/GTA DLC is far worse.

Exclusive skins and ****, okay I guess, but game changing content/maps, is just lame as hell.

NEVAAAR!

Exclusivity is good for competition. Competition is good for us.

Exclusive games yes, but exclusive DLC is unfair. No matter what console you own you payed for the game, same as everyone else.

You could consider buying another console to play games that are not available for the one you own, but not for DLC for a game you already paid for. I don't think it fosters competition in the least bit.

competition? thats between the systems selling. why would u want to divide your customers though on a game? hell' i was going to buy this for pc... but rethinking that now. this is what exclusive does' it cuts people out and makes them think about buying something worthwhile. hell' if we all had a chance to play it' it just required extra money' no prob. but no reason to force ppl into a system for extra content. i guess the gaming industry will never learn.... computers and torrents for the win until i get a product that is equal as everyone else.

you are right. it only brings anger. no reason pc' xbox' or ps3 deserves differt dlc. they should be trying to bring people together' not splitting them up.

with this marketing' we will never see cross platform online playing with each other. we will also all be told to own ever fricken system' just so we can get extra content on certain games.... horrible.

Cross platform play would be pretty difficult to do anyway with how different each systems online is.

I don't think you'll ever see PS3/360, I don't think Sony/MS would allow that anyway, best you'll get is Console/PC which is confirmed for FF14 (MMO), I don't know about other games. I think some might already do Console/PC.

These kind of stunts just deepen the wrath against the system(s) that you don't own and their developers.

I as only a 360 owner couldn't care less in the end, since the game itself seems good (based on the demo) even without the chance to play as the Joker.

Sony is just trying to lure the owners of both 360 and PS3 to get the PS3 version, don't really see this affecting anyone else (in any other way than as I stated in the first phrase).

That said, I also agree that the people losing the most in this are the ones that pay and support the gaming industry and the developers and feel like left out.

Not sure about this but didn't Shadowrun's multiplayer work through both PC and 360? Then again that was MS game which explains it.

Just as a quick addition: I don't care about full games being exclusive, but exclusive DLC is sad.

But there's no reason why it should be that way, other than both Sony and MS trying to alienate their users and milk them as much as they can (I could include Nintendo, but their games are for the most part exclusive).

When it comes to PC gaming you can play crossplatform games with anyone, no matter if you are running Windows, Linux or OSX.

help :(

We did help you already???

No problem though, here you go again... Go on the top of the guard tower that is closest to him, if you are looking facing him it will be on your left. Go on the top of that, and throw the Batarang to stun him. Then use the zip line thing to get onto the ledge, and then just beat him up or finish him if he is still on the ground. You just have to be safe and do not do it while his laser site is on you, so just go into Detective Mode to make sure you are not in his line of fire.

Take care of him first, then go back down and do the pods and the few guys who are on the ground.

CRAP completely Missed that sorry all

computers and torrents for the win until i get a product that is equal as everyone else.

Not to start something, but I believe you had no intention of truly buying the game at any point in this conversation. You brought up these points so you could give yourself a reason to continue to not support the developer and steal their games.

Joker DLC is not a reason to just completely steal their product. The main story (which is the most important part in the game) is still completely intact. Besides, typically PC games are $10 less in retail form than their console counter parts, so you should also take that into consideration. We pay more for our games, so we should (maybe) get more features as well. If you want the same features, pay the same price as us per game.

But there's no reason why it should be that way, other than both Sony and MS trying to alienate their users and milk them as much as they can (I could include Nintendo, but their games are for the most part exclusive).

Correct, but with PC gaming they are using the same API's. While all three consoles are based off of Power PC architecture, their networking API's are very different. There have been games on the xbox 360 that did allow cross platforming, but they were multiplayer and failed to grab an audience.

I agree that both companies (Sony and Microsoft) have no intention to ever work together, but cross platform is a lot harder than "just making it happen." If the playstation 3 can't even get Cross-chat/other online features in all of their games, what makes you think they could learn how to program into another console? Not trying to bash Sony, but their system isn't even unified in current form, much less unified with another company.

This problem you have with developers is a completely different topic though, as this game is single player only.

I buy any game I like. But I do not support companies who do not treat people equally. If companies want to alienate their users, so be it. They will reap what they sew. You can take whatever you want as anything you want to believe it as, but I make a valid point no matter which line you want to stand on.

The reason I put the torrent sentence in is because companies have an option. Make their customers happy, or have no customers at all. DLC is great, but to restrict it to certain consoles is just asinine. I have played this on xbox, and from the demo, was hoping to get it for the PC. I also heard that they would actually provide DLC for the pc as well, which was cool. But I thought as well that the DLC would include the joker missions. Since they wont, I see no point in purchasing this game. I will play it with others on their systems, but for a PC, I have many more options in games that I feel are better worth my hard earned money.

Your points are valid as long as you don't go to your torrents, download the game, play it and then never pay. The minute you steal the game, your points are invalidated as you used them for other reasons.

Borrowing the game though is perfectly fine. :)

I do think you started typing your response before I edited my post though.

I love it, because you feel the company isn't giving you what you deserve you choose to steal it. So when you go to a grocery store and notice that the same 2 dollar loaf of bread you buy now comes with 5 less slices, do you just steal another loaf because you feel your not getting what you deserve? All you prove in your statement is that you feel you need a reason to justify your theft.

Don't get me wrong, I pirate games and movies, but I don't make up excuses for the reasons why I do it to try to justify it as being acceptable which is what your doing. If you don't like how the product is packaged then the answer is simple, you don't get the product.

Your comment is the exact reason less and less developers are willing to make games for the PC

GTA DLC isn't game changing, just adding new missions and unrelated storylines. I'd be ****ed if it continued Niko's story, but it's more like LCS/VCS vs. GTA3/VC.

Fallout DLC only matters for the level cap, past that, I'm just glad to get new trophies ;)

These Joker maps are free, it's not that big of a deal people, it's not game changing. Same with the challenges in Bioshock and the exclusive Mirror's Edge map.

Great game, but I'm stuck. I got to the part where you are on your way to crocs laire, i went to exit the glasshouse and ivy's plant blocks my way. So i go down the sewers and see an opening, so I assume I can grapple up. however there's no target and the grapple gun wont let me go up, any ideas guys?

not at all, because downloading something does not equal loss of anything. Get real and stop being stupid. Actually stealing something and just making a digital copy are 2 very different things. Just because someone makes something does not entitled them to money, just as it does not entitle me to physically rob them of said item. Making a copy though, is a much different and broader subject.

But still, why alienate your customers like that? Since when did everything become "class" based?

In the end, you can either always put up with crap, or stand up and make your point. It's all about I guess who you are. I normally like to make my presence felt and my point heard, especially when I think something is not correct. ** you might go as far as saying as rioting is wrong, but sometimes, it is needed for the government to get the message.

    • Exactly, this is just the beginning. I hope that by that time, our inept politicians devise something like a Universal Basic Income, because unemployment and poverty rates will skyrocket otherwise. And believe me, robots that perform physical work aren't a matter of IF, but WHEN. No career is truly safe from AI/robots, it's just a matter of time.

Subtitle Edit 5.0.0 changelog: Subtitle Edit 5 is a major new release and a big step for the project. For the first time, Subtitle Edit runs natively on Windows, macOS, and Linux from a single, modern, cross-platform codebase. The builds are self-contained, so no separate .NET installation is required, and on macOS and Linux the needed media components (mpv/ffmpeg) are bundled in. Please read before upgrading: Subtitle Edit 5 is a new application, not just an update of Subtitle Edit 4. It has been rebuilt from the ground up to be cross-platform, so: It is not 100% the same app. The look, layout, and some workflows have changed. Some things are in different places, and a few behave differently than in SE4. Not every SE4 feature exists in SE5 yet. SE5 covers all the core editing, conversion, sync, video playback, OCR, and online services, but some of the more specialized SE4 tools are not available yet. Features will continue to be added. If you rely on a specific SE4 feature that is missing, please keep SE4 installed alongside SE5. The easiest way to run both side by side is to use the Portable versions of SE4 and SE5, which keep their settings separate and do not interfere with each other. Which version should I use? Subtitle Edit 5: recommended for most users on Windows 10 (22H2) or newer, macOS 12+, and Linux. Subtitle Edit 4: please continue to use SE4 if you are on an older Windows version (Windows 7/8), or on older / slower computers where SE5 may not run well. SE4 remains available and is the right choice in those cases. To run SE4 and SE5 at the same time, use the Portable versions - you can try SE5 while keeping SE4 as a fallback. • Google Pixel 11 series: Here's what to expect by Hamid Ganji Google Pixel 10 series In recent years, Google has successfully turned its Pixel devices into worthy contenders in the smartphone market. The search giant is now preparing to launch the Pixel 11 series in just a few months, and many Pixel fans are likely wondering what Google has in store for them this year. The next lineup of Google smartphones includes four devices: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. This year, we don’t expect Google to bring revolutionary upgrades to its handsets, and the Pixel 11 series is likely to receive modest hardware improvements alongside a slew of AI-powered features. Here are the rumored specifications of the Google Pixel 11 series ahead of its official debut: When will the new Pixel phones be unveiled? The last two generations of Google Pixel phones (Pixel 9 series and Pixel 10 series) were launched in August, unlike the previous three generations that debuted in October. With that in mind, we expect Google to unveil the Pixel 11 series sometime in August 2026. The exact launch date has yet to be confirmed. Google Pixel 11 CAD renders - Image via AndroidHeadlines How much will the Pixel 11 series cost? Predicting the final price of upcoming smartphones has become increasingly difficult. As you may know, RAM and memory prices are rising sharply, leading to significant increases in the cost of consumer electronics. Recently, Apple CEO Tim Cook said that price increases for some future Apple products are unavoidable, suggesting that the iPhone 18 series could become more expensive. Google has remained tight-lipped about any potential price increases for the Pixel 11 series. If the company manages to maintain last year’s pricing structure, here’s what the lineup could cost: Pixel 11: $799 Pixel 11 Pro: $999 Pixel 11 Pro XL: $1,199 Pixel 11 Pro Fold: $1,799 Given current market conditions, it may be difficult for Google to avoid raising prices unless it adopts cost-saving measures, such as equipping the base model with 8GB of RAM. Google Pixel 11 series anticipated specs: We expect the Google Pixel 11 series to debut with a new Tensor G6 processor as well as an upgraded camera system. The overall design, however, is expected to remain largely unchanged across the lineup. Specifications Pixel 11 Pixel 11 Pro Pixel 11 Pro XL Pixel 11 Pro Fold Display 6.3-inch LTPO AMOLED / 120Hz refresh rate / up to 3100 nits of brightness 6.3-inch Super Actua LTPO OLED, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 3600 nits of brightness 6.8-inch Super Actua LTPO OLED, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 3600 nits of brightness 8-inch inner screen and 6.4-inch outer display, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 3600 nits of brightness RAM & Processor Tensor G6 / 8-12GB of RAM Tensor G6 / 12-16GB of RAM Tensor G6 / 12-16GB of RAM Tensor G6 / 16GB of RAM Storage options 128GB or 256GB 256GB, 512GB, 1TB 256GB, 512GB, 1TB 256GB, 512GB, 1TB Camera 50MP main sensor, 13MP ultra-wide, 10.8MP 5x telephoto, 10.5MP front camera 50MP main camera, 48MP ultra-wide, 48MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom, 42MP selfie camera 50MP main camera, 48MP ultra-wide, 48MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom, 42MP selfie camera 50MP main camera, 10.5MP ultra-wide camera, 10.8MP telephoto camera, 10MP front camera, 10MP inner camera Battery 4,840 mAh 4,707 mAh 5,000 mAh 4,658 mAh Software Android 17 Android 17 Android 17 Android 17 The Pixel 11 series won’t be a major departure from its predecessor, with Google instead focusing on subtle improvements and AI additions such as Gemini Intelligence. However, a patent filed by Google suggests the company is working on a removable battery for its smartphones, and we could see this feature make its way to the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. Given that nearly all smartphones today lack removable batteries, such a feature would be a welcome addition to future Pixel devices. That said, it may not arrive with this year’s lineup after all, and the final decision is yet to be made by Google. The Pixel 11 series could also face an uphill battle in the market. In the Android segment, Samsung is performing well with the Galaxy S26 series, while the Galaxy Z Fold 8 lineup is also expected to launch next month. On the other hand, Apple is preparing to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in September alongside its first foldable iPhone.
